This is the worst Publix I ever been to. Bad customer service for the high price groceries. I ask the customer service gal, if pets allowed in the store and she said they not supposed and walked off, no management was present or seen. This is the nastiest location. A dog was in a trolley in his bed look terrified too, because he knew he doesn't belong in there. This is the same reason I don't shop at whole food markets. I decided I don't want no fruit or vegetables here, just the thick bag or canned food that can wash and sanitize. This place is not sanitary, bad hygiene and bad customer service. This is definitely my favorite Publix in this area! It's also the busiest Publix in the area so be mindful when you decide to go. During rush hour, this place is packed. Everyone has smiling faces that works here and the Managers are super friendly as they greet everyone. During lunch time, the deli will be busy but their sandwiches are the best!! I highly recommend checking the weekly specials to see which subs and hot meals are on sale. I also love Publix for their bogo deals! No other grocery store has these amazing deals! Also, if you only want one item on a bogo deal, instead of purchasing two, you can get one at half price. Everything at this particular Publix is normally very clean and their front area is usually fully stocked. Publix is certainly the best grocery store around!! read more

An employee named Jacob saw that I was confused while looking for an item, he had not hesitation to help me. I asked him if he had an item and he brought me to where the item would be. While looking for the item he went through the whole shelf and even went to the back to see if they had it in their inventory. People have places they need to be. We dont need slow old people working the deli by themselves. Just inefficient store to shop at. Old guy working the deli couldnt make my sandwich on time and made me late for work. When i asked him about it he just pointed at his tickets and said with attitude he has 10 backed up. I watched him work for a little bit and he was doing nothing. Hes the slowest sandwich maker ever and needs to be fired. And the management needs to be fired for hiring him and making him work by himself. Hes too old to be working there and needs his privileges taken away. read more

There is a homely unfriendly cashier who works here named Jennifer who is very RUDE. For some reason every time I shop there in the evenings she is the only cashier there and so I can't avoid her. She doesn't say hi or thank you, doesn't make eye contact, just hands your your receipt with contempt. This makes me not want to shop here and gives me a bad impression of Publix overall if they chose to hire these blatantly rude people. read more

This Publix is the worst i have ever been to. The customer service manager Amy has called me a liar on several occasions. The produce department is not fresh and doesn't last more than a day or two. Lastly I purchased a jalapeño popper dip Publix brand and it had a hair in it. I called the location and they told me they would refund me and write my name down for the next time. I came in. When I got there about a week later, the customer service manager Amy said I needed the product after I was told I didn't need to bring it in and I have complained before she remembers me if the store was in better condition and the employees were more helpful then I wouldn't need to complain read more

I initially came here just to park while attending the Taste of Alpharetta. However, I stopped in to pick up a few things. The layout is very different from most other Publix stores that I've been to, however, it was nice. Very organized and lots in stock. I went to the bathroom while there and it was a was ok. Not the cleanest but not the worst. I also was pleasantly surprised that they didn't care that people parked there while going to the taste of Alpharetta. This store needs upgrading. It is in a great area and every neighbor and friend I have in the area feel the same way. The produce is rarely fresh. If the fruit doesn't have mold on it then it is usually tart or flavorless. It is not a good atmosphere. We are all starting to shop at the Publix on Old Milton at Abbots Bridge or Whole Foods. read more

I shop at this store at least 2 times a week. I love the people who work here. They are always friendly & take the time to get to know me. If you come at lunchtime, prepare for it to be busy. The work crowd comes in for their delicious Publix subs. The line can get long but it seems to move. Deli counter can also take awhile depending on how you hit it, but just be patient. My only gripe is that when I shop on Monday's, sometimes they are out of items I am looking for. I do occasionally see items out of date as well, so just make sure to check the dates on perishable items (cheese, yogurt, etc.) read more

Unfortunately the deli department at this location is not as good as other locations. My family and I have ordered subs several times, and been dissatisfied a few times. Items aren't always ready on time, and often out of stock on what we order. Won't be purchasing deli items from this location any more. read more

Most people say they don't really enjoy grocery shopping - they don't get up on Saturday and look forward to the expedition to buy more paper towels or asparagus or cheese. I'm a little different. Going to the grocery store is a little bit of quiet time for me - I don't have to interact with anyone and I leave with a sense of accomplishment after ticking off all the items on my list. I've shopped at this Publix since it opened and there are a lot of things that keep me coming back: a) they stock numerous items so I always have choices b) the deli and bakery are really, really good c) they continually refresh their space to keep things looking tiptop (and they recently expanded) d) the layout works for me and how I shop e) many of the staff have worked there a long time - low turnover usually means a well managed establishment f) the staff are friendly and helpful g) the parking spaces - this may seem strange, but I love how this Publix (and all the others I've been to) have wider than average parking spaces. It makes loading groceries a lot easier. I don't want to start any grocery wars, but in the national-chain category, Publix is my preference. read more

HORRIBLE experience. I've been here twice, and the bakery is always where everything goes wrong. I placed an order TUESDAY for a two piece cake for my daughters birthday party that is saturday. they don't call me till friday to tell me that they don't have the cake toys . How are you suppose to tell me you don't have the pieces for the cake a day before the party. This Publix is definitely the worst in the area. You are better off driving a few minutes north or west to the one on Alpharetta Highway in Milton or on Rucker Rd in Roswell. Unfortunately I typically grocery shop after work and the traffic to those locations makes it prohibitive. So what makes this Publix so bad? Well it seems like they're always out of stock on regular/popular items, or don't carry certain items at all that you can find at most other Publix locations. The selection isn't great. The produce is hit-or-miss and the deli counter takes f o r e v e r (though to be fair this is a problem at every Publix). You have to be very careful to check expiration dates on the meats. Often (especially chicken) you have 2-3 days max before it goes bad. Ground meat is only good for one day typically. Also the aisles always seem to be crowded with displays or workers stocking the shelves during busy hours and blocking people from getting what they need, or causing a bottle-neck as people are trying to navigate around them. All in all it doesn't seem to be well managed. read more

This is my favorite grocery store. It's large, well stocked, well organized and most of all, very clean.

A week ago Friday, I went into my nearby Publix in Alpharetta, GA (Ga Hwy 9 and Haynes Bridge Rd) and ordered 20 lbs of whole catfish, to be picked up today (Sat May 26, 2018). I explained this was for my wife's birthday celebration with the kids and grandkids. I received a call yesterday morning (Friday) that the catfish were ordered, and would be on Friday night's truck. I go to Publix this morning, and while the 20 lbs of catfish were on the manifest dropped off at Produce, they were, in fact, not in the shipment. The meat market manager on duty, Chris Haight, went the extra mile so my family would not be disappointed. He found 10 lbs of whole catfish in the back, and drove to another Publix several miles away to get 10 lbs they had. By Me. Haight going the extra mile, for a problem neither he nor the local store caused, a family gathering was not ruined. He and that store should be commended for that level of surface. I am glad I am a Publix customer. read more

I asked him if I could buy 6 porkchops when there were plenty of packages piled up-the meat manager was unloading more because I have 4 kids and 2 adults and he suggested I make another recipe. The customer service girl started yelling at me and was sarcastic when I asked for the store manager in the first place-her customer service team lead told her to "walk away." Unbelievable. This isn't my favorite Publix. I try to avoid it when I can. It's smaller than most and looks shabby both inside and externally. They don't always have everything a typical Publix would have. Be prepared for an extra long wait at the Deli stand, even if there's no one in front of you. They appear understaffed generally - they don't pull you to another lane if there's more than three people in front of you; and be prepared to bag for yourself. Appears management isn't up to par, I've never seen a manager on staff during any of my visits. read more

I disagree with Darren enthusiastically. This deli is the worst Publix deli I have ever been to. So bad, I never go there for custom subs because they take FOREVER. Even with the separate payment counter, I can get a sub in half the time at the McGinnis Ferry location. The only reason I go to this one is they typically have premade wraps. However, today was my last attempt. I showed up at 11am and was told it would be 15 minutes before the premades were out. There staff isn't very friendly either and it seems almost like a hassle for them to service you half of the time. read more

This is another one of those giant Alpharetta grocery stores. You know, for all of the soccer moms walking around with ugly short hair cuts and make-up so thick you can see their powder from across the street. Anyway... I'm not sure if I'd ever be able to go through all the aisles here and find everything useful to me, but I guess that's why I don't live in this neighborhood. One thing they got right was their deli. They have their sub line down to a science and actually customize your order via computer and you pay first kinda like at a fast food restaurant. There's even seating nearby. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE Publix...but not this one. I thought all Publix were the same but this one got me. It is located near Northpoint Mall and I wanted a veggie sub before heading off to the mall. First of all, you have to prepay for your subs, which I didn't mind but the sub making area (that's what I call it) was more in the back than the front. Sure, I'm fine with that. But what really got me was there were NO wheat bread. What? At 4 pm? They didn't even say they were making more. I was very disappointed. I will NOT go back to this particular Publix. read more

Been over a month and I've been asking the bakery for a kind of dessert they typically make. They kept telling me they were waiting on ingredients, which is hard to believe as they are basic ingredients. Went to the other Publix at Bethany Bend who said they have all the ingredients as they are standard and are happy to create an order and make some for me. Will be shopping at this Publix from now on. It's a shame as I love Publix, but it's perhaps this store. read more

This is the dimmest Publix that I've ever entered. Um. Not that I've been in hundreds of them, but I've been in dozens and this one has a K-Mart-level of illumination. Not that it matters, I suppose...it was just kind of strange. The set-up was back-assward from every other Publix that I've seen...produce on the far left and a vast, empty section with some meat where veggies and fruits usually populate the square footage. Weird. Must be a conspiracy or sumpin'! The employees were friendly and helpful, as usual for this corporation. I think that I almost got invited to a home-cooked meal by the sushi roller, although I had just eaten and didn't buy any sushi. Yeah, the employees are that nice. I unabashedly love Publix. It is that great combination of affordable and quality. This location has everything you need. The cheese and deli section are pretty solid. The store is clean, including the bathrooms. Use this store and skip the nearby Walmart. read more
