I'm extremely disappointed with my experience tonight. I arrived at 10:45 PM after rushing from work to grab diapers for my baby, only to be told by security at the door that the store was already closed. This was very confusing, considering I live just five minutes away and shop at this Kroger multiple times a week--I've always been able to shop up until 11 PM. Being turned away like that, especially in a situation where I needed something essential, felt frustrating and unprofessional. If store hours have changed, they need to be clearly updated and communicated to customers. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider shopping here. I've never had this issue at Publix, where customers are allowed to shop right up until closing time. This was a very disappointing experience at what I considered my go-to neighborhood grocery store. read more

Longevity Customer Experience and Ambiance. Just abysmal! 1230pm today. Is anyone managing this store?! Not one shopping cart, not one basket to be found, without too much effort. Found a red vested mgr on a register, to tell about it, an assistant, I assume, took my comment, dismissed it by nonchalantly replying and pointing to the right behind me, "there's one right there." I didn't waste any more energy responding, but walked away. I went in for some fragrance candles, had chosen 2, but as i walked the store was so drab, employees looked drab and tired and frustrated, the store looked dark and drab, felt drab. I put the merchandise back in its proper place and left with nothing but a sense of relief upon exiting. It's a sad store, unappealing. Maybe take a look at longevity team mbrs. Lines are always halfway to the back of the store, never enough people on the registers and they always have half of the self checkouts out of service! Sale prices are correct 50% of the time so I have to check the expiration dates myself on the tags. You have just lost my business, I will be driving the extra 10 minutes to Publix. I don't know why I came to this location. This store has fallen off and might as well join the Metropolitan location. They re-arranged the store. Made no sense. No buggies. No handicap buggies. A young man went to the parking lot to get me a handicap buggy. Thank you sir. People crowding aisles talking to each other like they at a party. The only good thing is that I finally found everything I was looking for. The cashier never greeted me. She just started scanning my food. I was happy to be done shopping. read more

You dont miss what you've got till its gone, and thats how I felt being snowed in and having this Kroger location less than a mile from my house and having to make a life decision on weather to try and make it in my car on these snowy streets..... So after some thought and pleading from the kiddies, I attempted to make it, and boy was I glad to make it over the hill and into the slush filled parking lot to MY KROGER. Never again, will I speak poorly of the generic brands this Kroger now seems to carry...and it may not be considered generic but Kroger brand. The store was out of eggs, minuite maid juices, meat and hot dog buns, but we are in the middle of snowstorm 2011 so I got what I could and made my way to the register Funny how sometimes I can go into this Kroger and get 4 chicken breast for about $3.50 but today 3 chicken breast cost me about $9.00. LOL They are now also carryin Honeysuckle Turkey ground, cutlets and sausage producsts instead of just the Kroger brand. The staff was super friendly today, but it might have come from the fact that some of them were workin double overtime becuase they have been snowed in the store for the last 24 hours and they are alredy counting their pay in their heads, or maybe cause the store shelves are empty and recession be dammed.....people are buyin 3 chicken breast for $9 read more

This a great Kroger if you want to get in and out quickly. The parking lot is big so it's easy to drive in and out. I don't like how there's always limited buggies even when there are non outside there's none inside so where are they all going? If people are stealing them then they need to put a lock tracker on them once they leave the parking lot. Also they never have any of the small buggies which is annoying when you only have a few items. The shopping selection here is hit or miss some days it looks like whole trucks didn't show up because there's big gaps in the aisles with missing items. If you're looking for specific items then you should probably try another Kroger but for basic groceries and quick service this is the perfect location. And it is fairly organized. read more

I like coming here for the variety in prepared foods. The fruit cups are always in stock with a variety of options to choose. If you want hot foods, they have a sandwich bar/hot bar across from the veggie section. There are also lots of fresh options prepared if you have a party or want your stuff precut. This is a decently big kroger so there's most the things you might need. It also has a large healthy food section/cold section, so I always appreciate that, as there aren't many items healthy to eat in the area. Parking is fine, there's plenty, it's just slightly awkward getting to this kroger as it's set kind of behind everything. The kroger is usually pretty clean, except the restrooms are usually dirty. read more

I walked into this Kroger today and my groceries went over that amount that I had. With all that is going on and my job being closed I asked a young lady to take some items off. She asked me if I "needed" these items I said yes. She then paid for "all" of my groceries. In times like this, these are the people you have to thank God for. This store was oddly set up and not very clean. I agree with the one poster who said this kroger should be a part of the rest of Metropolitan pkwy. Yuck! They have outdated dairy items. I couldn't believe it. I saw half&half for Nov 21...it is now Dec 6th. The employees are rude and not very helpful at all. I've never been to a Kroger where the eggs are not next to the butter so I reached out for help after walking around for a good 5-10 minutes trying to find the eggs (I try my best to never ask Kroger employees for help because well in the metro Atlanta area their interpersonal skills are awful). I asked an employee (African American male) who was coming out of the meat area for help and he responded with oh it's somewhere back there..I guess. Who answers a customer like that?? If you are live on the Southside and think the only decent grocery store is the Publix inside Camp Creek Marketplace (or god forbid you are like several of my friends who drive all the way to freaking Midtown to buy a grocery), please check this store out, and save a little gas and money. This location is well-maintained with good selections. I get pissed when they leave the fresh herbs hanging out past their prime, but beyond that I haven't found it severely lacking in any department. In fact, I find really cool products here that I just cannot find at Publix (like this Lavender Earl Gray tea that I am addicted to and affordable organic products). Speaking of organic, I REALLY love all of the store brand organic products that Kroger carries now (their Private Selection line) in addition to the natural food section. The prices are hands down unbeatable. The staff is friendly, helpful and pretty efficient. This store features: a deli, bakery, seafood department, pharmacy, SunTrust bank, floral department, natural food section, organic produce, naturally raised meats and it's open 24 hours. This Kroger is my go to store when I'm looking to make BBQ beef ribs. I prefer the ones on the bones because they always seem to come out extra juicy. Because I was shopping for the holiday I expected the selection to be picked over and it was, however the butcher saw my hesitation and asked me to wait while he checked the back for more. To my satisfaction he brought out 4 packs with lots more meat and a reasonable price. This particular Kroger is considered to be in the hood since its in SW Atlanta even though there are homes worth over 1/2 million dollars within the vicinity. But what I like most about it, is that regardless what department they work in , the employees are always helpful. The store is typically well stocked and if you can't find what you're looking for just ask. They are more than willing to help. Its good to see people being helpful in an industry that, in my opinion, are under paid. I always see a familiar face whenever I go. That leads me to believe there's not a high turnover rate and they are treated well. Sometimes you have to deal with rift raft in the parking lot because its across the street from Greenbriar Mall but I'll have to say, it's one of my favorite stores based on the customer service and selection. read more

This Kroger location off Greenbriar Pkwy and Headland Ave in the Greenbriar section of Atlanta is huge and has a great selection of products. They also offer check cashing services as well. Most items are easy to find. Lines here move quickly. Service is good for the most part. There is plenty of parking and there are banks such as Chase, Wells Fargo and B of A in proximity. This may be a hood location but hold its own with well maintained products and attention to detail. Makes a better option compared to grocery shopping in Midtown. read more

This store is disgusting . I went in for three things - avocado, turkey lunch meat, and cheese. All of the avocados were rotten so I bought guacamole cheese and meat. When I got to my car I realized that the cheese was out of date by 4 1/2 months!!!!So I came inside to return it. Then when I arrived at hotel I realized my turkey was two months out of date. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!? I can understand a few days or even a few weeks when it comes to a place that doesn't care about its reputation and customers, but seriously?! I go to this location several times, it is the closest Kroger to me, I would still wait until I get back to my side of town just to go to this location. People don't give the southside enough credit, this store is really clean and organized. The manager was so helpful, I was looking for some ribs for our weekend cookout. It seemed like everyone had already purchased all the ribs that were put out and the manager was nice enough to go back into the freezer and look for more, that was nice of him! I had been to 1 other store and they didn't even bother to look for any. As I was checking out, another staff came over and helped me unload my basket, I was really surprised and impressed with the service. Keep it up, I will definitely continue shopping here! read more

This is my go to Kroger. I love 24hr stores. When I need to do some serious 'full cart' shopping I like to do it late at night when the aisles are empty. This Kroger is one of the closest to me. When im home cooling anf run out of something I usually can run in amd out with no problems and get what I need.The locals sketchy at times but there is never a dull momment at this Kroger. I wish thwy had fresher looking veggies and more organics, but otherwise its a good grocery store. read more

I guess I could drive across town to shop but that seems a little extreme when this store is in my neighborhood. While the staff is friendly, the long lines are awful. Money services is the worst. I cannot fathom why when there is a long line snaking around the store, they don't bring in another associate to clear the aisles. After a certain hour, the registers are closed and you are left at the mercy of self checkout. A little common sense and care about customers would make this a great place to shop but in its present state, this store is a disaster. Restocking produce would also be helpful. I've been going to Kroger on Headland since it was re-built, back in the early 2000s. The first several years, it was a great place to shop. The shelves were always well stocked, and on the busiest days of the week, there were plenty of registers opened. About 3 years ago, I begin to notice the store was not the same. I begin having problems with the produce department. It seemed they were always out of something. I complained to management several times. It got a little better, but it wasn't good enough for me. Then I started noticing throughout the store the shelves were empty. For example, I recently received a coupon for a free box of New York garlic Texas Toast. Every time I went to Kroger to redeem my coupon, at least once a week, the shelves were always empty. I finally had to go to the Cleveland Ave. Kroger to get my Texas Toast. I get so frustrated every time I do my shopping at Headland because they are always out of at least 1 item on my list. This past weekend, they were out of pizza cheese and my favorite wine. And they are always out of Red Baron Individual deep dish pizzas. Plus, I usually grocery shop on Sundays. The store is packed with shoppers, yet half the registers are closed. Headland Kroger is less than 5 minutes from my house but I'm considering doing my shopping at Cascade or Cleveland Ave. from now on. Both stores are farther away and timewise it's an inconvenience, but they both are well stocked and have everything on my shopping list. They also have plenty of registers open. read more

The store should hire more employees or close their doors. Customer service always only have one person working and it's two the other person is acting as though there's not a long line. This department is rude and don't know good customer service. The produce depart look like they was using the fruits and vegetable to play hacky shack in back. The store looks like they don't clean it and the items are always about to expire in three or four days. The girls restroom have the words and graffiti on the stall doors. There's never any carts inside the store and management is rude and won't honor a rent even if you have a receipt, products never been used and it was only bought a day. This Kroger is one of the most "understaffed" stores ever! I mostly use Kroger's money center only because the food is overpriced in this neighborhood which I think is due to amount of people that use food stamps in the area. Anyway, it doesn't matter what time of day I go in here to get a money order but the line is always long and they never call anyone for help when the line is out of control. They never apologize for your wait or say thank you guys for your patience I am working as fast as possible or anything. They just sit there looking at you and act like they have an attitude. When you ask for a supervisor, they always say they are not there or they are doing something else and it'll be awhile before they can talk to you. This place is ridiculous! Dirty, no customer service, mangers are rude, did I mention it was dirty? The meat slicers in the deli have been needing service for over 6 months now. If you get sandwich meat sliced there be prepared to have a mixture of chipped meats and tiny steaks. These are simple things.. A lot of the produce have mold. I noticed expired foods on the shelves. I recently visited the store on Headland Dr., though I normally shop on the opposite side of town, and to say I was appalled is an understatement. It was night and day compared to the location. The employees were completely disengaged and not very interested in assisting customers, there were several lines closed and there were at least 10 customers in the open lines. Then after waiting and waiting, two customers, a very pregnant woman and an elderaly man proceeded to have a very aggressive argument which almost became physical. I think Kroger should be ashamed to put its name on this store. It needs a complete make-over and training of its employees. It was sad to see this is what Kroger believes best to offer its many patrons that live close to that store. Honestly, I will drive further before I ever visit this store again. read more

This store the worst customer service in the country. The managers are always looking in your cart and dont greet you. No one is ever available when you need help. The customer service line is always wrapped around the store. Not to mention the cashiers are rude, unprofessional, un welcoming, not helpful, ghetto, did i mention unprofessional? None of them want be there. They just throw your food around like they dont matter. Like they just want to hurry up and get you out the way, Dont bother telling a manager cause they dont care either.
