    Apples

IF YOU ARE BLACK DO NOT SHOP HERE AND IF YOU DO CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. It is not the way we dress, it is not how we approach people, it is none of that. I'm so livid that I'm writing this in the parking lot. I bought a couple items and two of them were apples and habaneros(which we all know can be hard to find sometimes so I tried this store). He didn't ring my apples up properly. What he did was ring my apples up as habaneros. We love to say it's a simply mistake but it never is. I told him " Hey, you didn't ring up my apples, it says my habaneros are 2.16 lbs". He proceeds to tell me oh no those are your apples. With this being said, my apples weren't on the screen and if those are my apples, where is the weight of my habaneros? I knew the apples weren't 4.99 per pound (price of habaneros) and I asked him if he was sure he said yes. So I pay like a good samaritan and go check the apples, which are 2.49 per pound. I come back no less than two minutes and I tell him he rung up my apples as habaneros, he tells me no. We all know and especially the worker as well that 3 habaneros would never be 2 pounds( for reference they were 0.37 pounds). I have worked in a grocery store and the habaneros will never be next to the apples button, there's no way to mistake it. They are not even close alphabetically nor the same category of produce.I say it again and then another employee got involved and told him to call the manager. He proceeds to act innocent and even says twice " I didn't ring up apples at all" in front of the manager as if I grabbed apples and put them in my grocery bag. I had to interrupt and say that you rung my apples up as habaneros. He then tried to say he did it by "accident". He had full knowledge of what he was doing but me being a young black man, he believed I am not intelligent. I promise you it'll never be a mistake especially if you bring it to attention and they stand on it. I seen other reviews about them being racist and it is 100 percent true. If you need something fresh please find a place that accepts us and not places that tolerate you or treat us like they treated me and many others here. They don't deserve our money.

You are paying for the 'fresh' & specialty items, however worth it per your budget if you can adjust. I saw a dollar or so upsell on some Vegan items as well as other products I wasn't familiar with. I bought some pre-cut organic veggies (I rarely do this) & they were pretty fresh - price point a little steep yet worthy for the convenience. The meat, seafood, sushi, cheese, olive bar, bakery, bulk item sections are well maintained with easy access - again a small increase on the price point. The allergy-friendly inventory is impressive. TFM also offers nice size aromatherapy, floral, wine/beer areas. Employees on the floor are welcoming & helpful while tidying up the departments with the same good service by the cashiers. The shopping experience is worth the extra dollars.

Tonight my friend went to Fresh Market to purchase some gluten free crackers for me. Unfortunately, both the brands he got were awful. Him and I went back to exchange them for something else. We got crackers and tortilla chips. When I got home we opened the bag and once I had my first bite of the chips, I noticed they were extremely stale. I looked at the bag and noticed they are expired!! By over a month!! We looked at each other in disgust. I would understand if these chips were a few days old or even a week but over a month?? That is unacceptable. Especially with how expensive this store can be. The associates at this establishment really need to go through the whole store at this point to make sure this doesn't apply to anything else. Fresh market is not so "Fresh".

This is the 3rd time Fresh Market sold me food that was spoiled. The snack mix $4.50 was stale and the oil was rancid. The sell by date is listed 3/7/24. It's December and they are saying this opened product is good until March. I was disappointed to see that the recipe for the chicken salad has changed. What use to be visible chicken chucks is now grinded down..Terrible mouth feel, and there is most definitely ground bone fragments like the ingredient disclosure list. It has been awhile since purchased bc last time I purchased the salad it was spoiled. Fresh Market is the only chain other than Ingles that sells old food at a premium price. It's too bad they once had really good rotisserie chicken salad. It's now called roasted chicken salad $11.99lb total crap.

This Store has the best staff and my favorite fresh desserts, everyone who works here is so kind and helpful even the guy who is by the shopping carts one of my favorite places to shop in Buckhead.

My husband introduced me to this place a month ago..I played it safe and got a turkey sandwich.. it was great..so THIS TIME, I had to come back and try the sand which my husband was REALLY raving about. It's called the prime steak panini. It was delicious! Service was great, as usual. Food was fresh. The keep me coming back! Lol

It's only though ordering some goods from Root Baking to pick up that I discovered this organic weekly market. Morningside Farmers Market was set up in the parking lot of a tiny strip mall home to a running store. Parking in the neighborhood wasn't difficult at all. There were to my count, about eight vendor tents set up and two of them were produce-focused.  At the risk of sounding like a Portlandia character, I snagged some absolutely gorgeous radicchio from Diamond Hill and striking purple sweet potatoes from Sparta Gardens. The radicchio had leaves the hue of iceberg lettuce but they were speckled with magenta dots. Beautiful! And the sweet potatoes were deep purple both outside and inside!  You can place orders with Root a few days ahead of time to pick up. They also have some extra treats to choose from. The multigrain and sesame semolina breads were delightful and made excellent slices for sandwiches. For sweet stuff, their chocolate croissants can't be beat. Seriously.   Besides bread and veggies, other tents were hawking eggs, meats, honey, chocolate, and grains. Since the market wasn't too crowded, shoppers kept their distances, and everyone was wearing masks. The market is open from 8-11:30 AM Saturdays though some things were sold out already before I arrived. I'm glad I got to explore this cozy farmers market and definitely plan to return, hopefully on a warmer morning! ***NOTE: This market has moved to a new location. As of today, it's now at Morningside Presbyterian Church, 1411 North Morningside Drive.

Walking in, it was super busy and the line was long, but they moved very fast. It had that classic deli feel with shelves full of fresh bagels, pastries, and a huge breakfast/lunch menu. I ordered an everything bagel toasted with regular cream cheese and lox. We also got a ham & cheese sandwich on the jalapeño cheddar bagel. The only thing that threw me off was the service while ordering. The guy taking my order kept going on his phone during the interaction. I explained that I wanted the nova sandwich style but without the tomato, onion, or capers because I still wanted it closed-face with extra lox instead of the open-face version. He told me, "that's just a weird way to order it," which honestly felt unnecessary. The bagel itself was huge and heavy with a thick shmear of cream cheese. The lox tasted good, although I wish it was layered in slices instead of smaller pieces. Still, it came pretty close to that NY bagel taste I was hoping for. The jalapeño cheddar bagel was actually spicy and packed with jalapeños. We had to take some out, but the sandwich overall was really good. I'd definitely come back and would probably try another location too.

This quarter's featured country is Singapore, so I was especially excited for the opportunity to try Singaporean inspired cuisine. One of the best surprises of the evening was that our group was seated in a private dining room for the birthday celebration. It made the evening feel even more intimate and special for my friend. Jordan truly made this experience exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable about both the food and cocktail menus and explained every item in such an approachable and thoughtful way. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and takes pride in the experience he creates for guests. Because of his recommendation and description, I ended up trying an entrée I probably would have overlooked otherwise. I ordered the Queensland chicken from the Singapore menu and it was outstanding. The chicken was extremely tender and the sauce had the rich, slightly sweet flavor profile Jordan described, almost reminiscent of a bourbon style glaze. It was comforting, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I also decided to explore the mocktail menu and tried both the Elliot Carver and the Paris Carver Kiss. Both were refreshing, balanced, and crafted just as thoughtfully as a full cocktail. From the service to the atmosphere to the food itself, this was truly a 10 out of 10 experience. I can absolutely see myself returning again soon.

The food was bland and under-seasoned, and I'm not someone who prefers a heavy hand seasoning wise. If I were going to come back, given the owners inability to take genuine feedback without being snarky, I certainly wouldn't now. Also, how does the owner know I'm not native to Singapore? Or at the very least lived there for many years? Not only is the response insulting, it's borderline racist. I really don't understand the glowing reviews. This place was not it. We visited during Singapore Week before a show at the Fox Theatre. My friends and I all love Singaporean food, which made the experience even more disappointing. The biggest letdown was the Hokkien Mee. If you've had this dish before, you know it typically has a rich, savory, curry-forward flavor. This version tasted more like a basic stir-fry noodle dish with a faint hint of chicken broth. It wasn't badly cooked, but it lacked the depth and flavor that makes Hokkien Mee special. I ordered the Tau Yew Bak (crispy pork belly), which was good, but nowhere near the most memorable pork belly I've had. The accompanying slaw/salad was completely forgettable and lacked flavor. My friend's Sambal Snapper suffered from the same issue. It wasn't offensive, just underseasoned and missing the bold flavors you'd expect from a dish built around sambal. We also ordered the Korean BBQ Duck Confit appetizer, which honestly tasted more like pulled barbecue chicken than duck. It wasn't bad, just not particularly exciting or memorable. I also tried the mashed potato croquettes, which were fine. That's really the best word for most of the food here: fine. Nothing was actively bad, but very little stood out. To be fair, there were some highlights. The hostess was warm and welcoming, and our server was good. The 006 Old Fashioned (their non-alcoholic Old Fashioned) was hands-down the best mocktail I've ever had, and I've had plenty all over the country. Seriously, it was outstanding and worth ordering on its own. The restaurant itself is also absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, great service, a gorgeous space, and an incredible mocktail couldn't make up for food that felt consistently underwhelming. 3 stars.
