With a cigar section, sushi area, fresh pizza, and many other varieties for personal taste, this Kroger beats many by a field goal! One of the highlights is the gas station. With nearly a 16 pump facility, you can gas up before or after your shopping spree. The green section is filled with a huge variety of fresh veggies, to include a decent size organic selection. Right across from this area is the bulk section. Here is where paradise has hit the Planet. Someone new that this was going to be a hit. During the grand opening this was always stocked, but now that the word is out, its hard to keep this section tamed. Everyone who has a taste for natural foods, know that this is one of the most popular section in the store. The bins have been empty lately because the demand is so high for natural food rather than processed. Take a walk over to the seasonal isle. Charcoal, swim items, mosquito repellant - all these items are available as well. read more

This Kroger has 2 major problems. 1-they are almost always low on product during the 6pm rush. It's like they never expect it and the produce isle is often short of items. 2- produce and meat quality are low. You can see and taste the low quality of meat and veggies. The only reason I go there is due to lack of options. read more

Pharmacy "customer service" is actually customer no-service. I was completely ignored at the drive-in for Rx pick up. I had my baby in the car with me so could not go in. I waited for a while as I could see someone was being helped. when that person left, I started calling on their intercoms phone. 5 times I could hear it being picked up and then hung up, with no one saying a word. I finally called from my cell. Meanwhile other people were being waited on. Even when no one was being waited on, she refused to help me. when I finally got her on the phone, she told me she was busy filling Prescriptions and couldn't help me, telling me I would have to wait 30 minutes at least....as another person came up and as I hung up, she went to go help that person. read more

KroBar is welcome in my neighborhood! So glad to have inexpensive gas close by. It's only about 5 minutes from my house, which used to be in what is considered a food desert. Not now! It has to be said: This Kroger's is TOO big. Its a good thing there is so much food there, because there is a 10% chance you will get lost and have to set up camp until a rescue party finds you. In actuality, I really like this Kroger. Its a huge contrast to the nearby Moreland Krogers. I like the selection (especially beer) and everything is new/shiny, etc.. But running in to buy a quick gallon of milk kinda become an ordeal, so not a perfect score. read more

I think I called and texted everyone in my phone book while walking through this Kroger. It has everything! Even the chip aisle is 3x as long as the normal ones who knew there where so many options! A burrito, panasian, salad, pizza, sushi, deli, cheese bar and a BAR bar yes grab a beer and try that funky cheese you just bought. Toooo excited for this to be here even though i think it'll take me a year to figure out where everything is. They even have home goods like towels and linens. My first reaction is its a grocery focused Wal-Mart...with Kroger prices. Enjoy! read more

This kroger is great. It is fairly new and is one of the expanded kroger that offers a wide variety of extra services including gas, sushi bar, hot deli, etc. The pharmacy has a drive-thru and the staff there is great about getting prescriptions filled quickly The regular staff in the store seems to be pretty good. This might be a training store because I always see new staff. My big complaint is the bread in the deli. I have tried sub sandwiches a few times and the bread is always hard. Never fresh. There is also a starbucks in the store. This is NOT a 24 hour store so dont try to go there before 6am. There is a chick-fil-a in the parking lot as well. The parking lot is always very crowded. There are residential buildings as well as parking garages that add to the traffic. read more

I'm relieved to have this Kroger within walking distance, even if it is so giant that you have to plan to spend at least an hour for a full shopping trip. I love that it has storage bins, clothes hangers, and a complete selection of sundries--I can avoid a trip to Target or CVS unless I need clothing. It's open 6-1AM, which covers all but dire emergencies (I can't decide whether I would have preferred 24 hours--theoretically that would have been nice with the potential for making a run for Pedialyte or other medicine.) And so far the parking seems adequate and it hasn't destroyed traffic in my area. The staff is super friendly! Not sure if this is a honeymoon phenomenon or not, because I have never experienced such friendliness at a grocery store. Oh, and they have the kid-friendly shopping carts with the steering wheels! The slight shortcomings from my perspective: -So much prepared food, so (comparatively) few vegetarian options. There are some, but it takes a bit of effort. -I don't think there's a separate natural foods section the way there is at Edgewood. Some people hate the separate natural foods setup, but I kind of like it. -Bakery does not sell challah from what I can tell, though I may try to request it. -This is really too picky, but if a Kroger is going to be this goshdang giant, they might as well have a couple of racks of basic kids' clothing so I can really make it a one-stop shop. Overall, very pleased so far with this addition to the neighborhood. After experiencing it, I have mostly gotten over my disappointment that it's not a Trader Joe's. read more

One star is one too many for this location. Time and time again this location lets us down. They are consistently out of everyday staples like: milk, eggs, cilantro, avocados, lettuce, etc. And never NEVER try to find speciality items. I'm not sure I have ever had the luck to shop here and get everything on my list. Tonight, I even put back the few items they DID have and opted to shop elsewhere because I didn't see the point of getting 2 of the 8 items I needed. I love this Kroger! It's like night and day compared to the Kroger in the Lithonia area. They even have a bar in this Kroger; who wouldn't love that?!?! They have a great selection of organic food, and a fresh seafood and meat selection. They have a sushi bar where they will customize your sushi requests. There are so many things that I like about this Kroger...they are giving Whole Foods a run for their money! read more

When it comes to the customer service desk, without fail, there is a line of 5-12 people and the wait is consistently around 30 minutes. Nothing new for many Kroger locations, but it's not my fault that your cashier messed up and then sends me to customer service. read more

I was anticipating the opening of this location for a long time, as my frustration with the Edgewood (Caroline Street) location had been boiling over for almost a year. I'm totally blown away. This location has the footprint, and uses the layout, of exurban Kroger stores, including wide aisles, housewares/home goods section, and much more product selection. But that isn't why this rating is so high. The truly outstanding points are: * Parking adequate for the still-growing population of Atlanta. (The Edgewood location has been plagued by parking snarls for years because the development company specifically chose not to use 2-level parking for the Kroger there.) * Asian food kiosk is great. I periodically order tofu in bulk there, and they're happy to make it up fresh while I'm shopping the rest of the store. * Frontage of the store is not crowded in by planters or other seasonal items; there is enough room not to obstruct foot traffic. (See my review of the Edgewood/Caroline Street location for more on this.) * Minor medical issue clinic right in the store, which makes it the closest such clinic to home for me. This list isn't complete by any means. This may be a new store, but it has the potential to keep the positive direction going indefinitely. I hope it does. read more

It is with a heavy heart that I must low-rate this particular Kroger. It's not because they have a sub-par selection (it's actually pretty varied and vast). It's not the location (the parking lot is less of a hell hole than the one at Edgewood). It's not the fact that after about three years of local residents fighting tooth and nail to prevent a Wal-Mart from being built there, they were duped into accepting a Wal-Mart disguised as a Kroger (I'm sure the cookware is fine.) No, it would be a decent store but for two things. 1) The ClickList service they offer is not my favorite. I don't know about you but I don't like it when I order groceries the day before then go out there and wait an hour and get a phone call saying they're still looking for my ground beef. Maybe that's fine with most of you but I'm not a fan. And 2) this is what inspired me to write today, is that their burrito station is abysmal. I'm one of those nerds that get excited about new restaurants and eateries opening, even when it's the novelty of a burrito bar in a grocery store, but now I'll know for sure that you really have to lower your standards if you're actually going to eat gringo Mexican food made in a huge conglomerated grocery chain. Looking at the menu, I wanted the 'carnitas', which sounded promising enough just because they think to use that name. But everything got very sad because the lady said they didn't have any left, and hadn't had any for a 'a while now'. I asked when they might get some and she said she didn't know. "But isn't this a grocery store?", I asked. I got no reply. So I went ahead with the chicken. I watched her make it, and that was the next clue I had that it wouldn't be any good; because she cut up like two chicken breasts and piled it up on the tortilla; I don't think they even use that much at gee-darn Chipotle. The other ingredients were "shredded cheese", black beans, corn, salsa verde, and cilantro rice. (Yes, they had other stuff but that's what I wanted.) All rolled up in about a 3 lb mega burrito. You'd think that would mean mega-flavor but in the end, it was just mega-cardboard. Really; the chicken was cooked and crusty with no seasoning and it had been sitting out; the black beans were undercooked, the salsa was bland, the whole thing was like chewing on a pile of soggy paper towels with bits of the tube more or less. I don't blame the employee; it's not her fault that the food was an atrocity, or that they were even out of what I wanted. In fact, she was friendly and made the thing in decent time and how I'm sure they suggested she make it. I blame this corporate-think that attempts to lure in customers with something other than deli food but then not really following through. People could say 'well what were you thinking, Alex, it's Kroger?", and what I would hope is that they'd surpass expectations, but instead they failed. read more

By far the best Kroger I have ever been to in my life. I am typically not a fan of Kroger, but this Kroger is not only brand new, and the nicest Kroger you will probably ever be in, but it is probably also the largest Kroger you will ever see. This Kroger is huge and seriously has every last thing you could ever shop for, as it should be considered a SUPER-Kroger. From extensive wine and drink selections, to every food and household item you may need, this is definitely a Kroger worth visiting. it also stays open considerably late, for Atlanta supermarkets, which usually top out at 11 or earlier. This one stays open until at least 1am. The only con to this Kroger is that it does seem the prices are a bit higher, but it is almost worth it for how extensive the quality of the new store is. read more

I was excited when this huge new Kroger opened. It's closer and larger than the other two Krogers near me. Imagine my surprise when I consistently found this store out-of-stock on SO MANY things I regularly buy. And after going back over and over, they'd STILL be out of what I wanted. Weekdays, weekends, morning, evenings...it didn't matter. It's a HUGE store, but they're clearly incapable of keeping basic things like tea and spaghetti sauce on the shelves. I've actually left and gone to other Krogers where I found everything I needed. I come back to this Kroger a week later and they're STILL out. It also bugs me to see lazy but otherwise healthy young store employees riding the scooter carts from the parking lot to the store. There's nothing wrong with you! Push the button and walk next to the cart like a healthy person! Anyway, the last straw was going there last night and buying hamburger buns. When I opened the package today, one of the buns had been written on WITH A SHARPIE. This Kroger sucks. I'll fight traffic at the Caroline St store or beggars at the Moreland Ave store before I set foot in this one again. What a pit of losers! read more

I LOVE this Kroger. One of my two favorite locations in Atlanta. This location is new, so I hope that my affection for it isn't short-lived. They have a great deli that serves burritos and bowls (watch out Moe's and Chipotle) a bar, and Starbucks! Even if you're in the mood for a nearly $400 bottle of top shelf libation, it's covered. I also love the fact that there are dispensers near the front of the store that contain everything from real and granola to nuts, candy and dried fruit so patrons can control how much of each they purchase. Located in the gentrified area of Glenwood, everything around it is pretty much new. read more

KROGER ON GLENWOOD HAS BAD GAS. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT USE IT. My car started jerking and sputtering after I got gas there. When I took it to the shop I was told the fuel quality was poor, super oily and water. This has caused me to not only have my tank totally drained and cleaned out but also needing a new engine$$$ 5000. My engine could have caught fire. Kroger's insurance department is saying it will take 4-6 weeks to complete an investigation...what do I do while your investigation is pending and I have no transportation and still have to get to work and you still have bad gas quality...DON'T GO TO KROGER...DESTROY YOUR FUEL POINTS!! This has to be the absolute best Kroger ever!!! It's huge!! This location has everything you could think of. I love coming to this one because I know that I'll never have to leave without an item that I intended to buy. A lot of Kroger stores are hit and miss. I love the different stations in the prepared food portion of the market. I particularly like the sushi served here as well as the wine bar. A wine bar, a Starbucks, and multiple food choices equals a win for me. The only improvement that I would suggest is to be 24 hours and to ensure that the people that are hired aren't moody. Unfortunately, I have encountered a few young ladies that have been less than pleasurable. read more

So inappropriate and out of place. There are actual child size tables located directly next to the bar so the kiddies can sit near their parents while they indulge in alcohol??? Beware of expired items. As in 3 years expired. Seriously, the store has a great selection, but there's no excuse to have cans on the shelves with a sell-by date that's THREE YEARS OLD. Store wasn't even open when those cans went out of date... At least the old Moreland Kroger marks the going-out-of-date items as Managers Sale so you are clued-in to check the date. At a well-hyped showcase store like the one in Grant Park, you don't expect to buy food so old it might be a health risk. read more

This is by far my favorite grocery store in the southwest Atlanta. You have to take it for what it is. Grocery store: The little restaurants in the Kroger aren't the best but I don't come to eat at these. The pizza use to be on point when it was 5.99 for the whole pizza but then they upped the price to 15 for the whole pizza. I was also annoyed they jacked up the price on the cores pineapples. There is a lot of parking but there can be a lot of traffic leaving the plaza. They have a good selection of produce. I also like the murrays cheese shop. This Kroger has one of the largest selections of beer I've seen in a grocery store. They also have a bar that serves beer and wine by the Starbucks read more

This was my first time visiting this Kroger location since moving to this side of town. It's huge! Felt like a Super Walmart (without the clutter though!) I was able to find everything I needed with the exception of a specific product of Quorn I'd had on my list but the store reps were so friendly and helpful - one guy even walked (what felt like) the whole store just to make sure I hadn't missed it. And two young ladies walked over with me even though it wasn't their assigned section. I liked that there were plenty of lines open for checkout - mind you this was a Sunday afternoon! My only gripe with this Kroger is there meat selection. Raymond the store manager is horrible with customer facing solutions, rude, and impolite. I was 15minutes late for my pickup so I entered the store to get my prepaid groceries. Raymond stated "I'm not going to the back to get your order we stopped doing pick up orders already". I was shocked and extremely surprised of his response to say the least as a store manager. He should not be customer oriented or dealing with customers AT ALL. He needs more training and the district manager needs to address this issue with him. The store policy clearly states when you call customer service that you have until closing to pick up your groceries so don't worry. My son 13th birtbday is Tommorrow so I went to Publix to get his cake and food. Mind you I wasted time, gas and waiting days for the transaction to be refunded. Have not logged into Yelp in years but a certain employee at this Kroger inspired me to. The girl at the pizza counter makes me question why I leave my home or want to support businesses. It was obvious she did not want to be there or be bothered. I didn't feel Welcome and rather inconvenienced that I came to her station. Not only did she act like I was an inconvenience ordering a slice or pizza. I was not even greeted. There was not one word said to me through my ordering process. Another lady walked away as soon as I walked up. There was not even a Thank You nor a goodbye or Have a nice day. Nothing. Thanks lady for taking the time to make a customer feel most un welcome. I will only come back here if I absolutely have to. This is not the first time I have come to the take-out station and felt like nobody wanted to help me or nobody wanted to be there.
