This Kroger was previously mediocre at best. Now, it's awful. All the previous employees seem to be gone and their current employees are poorly trained, dissatisfied and unfriendly. Kelly at self checkout alone is worth avoiding this store over. They are constantly out of stock of key items, their deals are not what they used to be, and their selection has gone drastically downhill. But all of that pales in comparison to the checkout experience. Kroger has the most obsolete self checkout in the industry, their front end is constantly understaffed, and it is incredibly poorly laid out. There are TONS of grocery stores in the mid cities. Go to Albertsons instead, they're far more pleasant. read more

I lived in Bedford for almost ten years and this was my grocery store. I've since moved away but if I am in the area and need to make a stop, I will still come here. The layout is still a bit dated, but it was always clean and the people are friendly. I moved away six years ago and I still see some of the same employees giving the service that I always appreciated. Customer service is good, the produce was always good, plenty of parking, and I have never been in when they didn't have checkers working. Worst kroger I been to machines are always not working only one line open at times even when busy and they change shit around for no reason and call it a grand opening, When I first moved here it was the best and now 2 years later it feels like a wal mart expect higher prices. If you know what that means avoid this store prices are so high now too due to inflation but this store hides their prices behind digital coupons and tricky signage. I wont ever set foot here unless its and emergency from now on. I would rather go to albertsons they are way better you pay a premium but the place is actually nice to shop at and has some good deals. Not bad at all! I only had like 5 minutes to run in and grab the special of the week and get back home as my class ran very late. It was very achievable with the help of the Kroger ap telling me which aisle and there being ample self checkouts available despite the numerous people. There is a sign on the front door stating people who are vaccinated are welcome to not wear a mask. I should have taken a picture had I not been in a hurry. I didn't wear a mask, and I noticed quite a few people not wearing masks and quite a few wearing masks. Do you do what makes you feel comfortable! It's summer, baby! Well almost ha. As I was leaving, the kind cashier made sure to tell me to have a wonderful day! This store has gone downhill. They constantly OVER CHARGE items. They tell u at register sale prices are DIGITAL only but the floor tags don't say that, their manager can't answer this question and says she can't do anything about it. Their shopping carts lock up upon exiting nside the store as if you are going to steal it. My tip is, if you can manuvare the cart to roll on two wheels, it will roll anywhere as far as you need, tilt it to the left or right side. read more

Such a clean store! My first time using Kroger pickup at the Bedford location. I went inside to grab a couple things and then marked my parking spot. Before I put the few groceries I had into the car, Samuel was already walking up with my groceries. Most workers offer to put the groceries in my car and I always tell them that I like to help. Samuel was extremely helpful today by telling me how much I saved on coupons and even told me how many fuel points I had for this month. I was thoroughly impressed. He also told me that he was unsure if my points rolled over and he was telling customers to gas up just in case. Of course I went next door to the pump to use my points! My card wouldn't work at the pump so I had to go the desk. I was received by Vicky who was just as nice Samuel. She took the time to look at the app I had on my phone, scanned my Kroger card and saved me 30 cents per gallon at the pump. Both gave me that Chik fila "my pleasure" response and it truly made my day. Thank you Bedford Kroger! I will be back! read more

We have several store brands from Albertsons, Tom Thumb, Target, Walmart Market, Walmart Super Center, Sprouts, Minyards and Aldi's. Krogers continues to be my preferred shopping center for all my grocery needs. This store reminds me of the older IGA markets my grandparents shopped for years. Back when you knew the employees and the employees would greet you by name. The store has a wide variety of specialty items from Organic products, Gluten free. Kosher and other specialty items. Krogers now has a wonderful APP that allows you to create your grocery list, download both sale items and coupons to your rewards number. Any special advertised prices get deducted at the point of purchase. You can also check your fuel points balance. read more

A decent Kroger that is very clean. This Kroger has an extensive produce section, however the rest of the store could be stocked more often. Should be noted that it could be a COVID-19 issue rather than a store issue. Every store is having a hard time keeping their stores stocked, which is why it's not included in my star-rating. Other than that, there is plenty of parking, and of course they have their gas station attached to the business. I've saved plenty of money by using Kroger's gas because the savings transfer over from the store itself. It's pretty standard, but I would add that their sushi stand is the best I've had from a Kroger, and that is saying a lot. read more

I'm disappointed in this location. I have shopped Kroger in other states and never experienced what feels like RACIAL PROFILING when I use the self-checkout at Kroger in Bedford, Texas. The employees seem to drop whatever they are doing to come watch me. It has happened multiple times. It shouldn't be that way, ever. If you don't trust customers and can't treat them with respect and dignity, then don't have a self-checkout! Also, the tone and attitude that the caucasian self-checkout girls use towards other races is unacceptable. I was there today around 8:30am and used the self-checkout near the product section. I have observed how they interact with caucasian customers versus Hispanic and African Americans, and there is a difference. I think if they add a diverse group of employees, they will grow and become better with delivering customer service to everyone. I actually warned them in writing that if I experience it again, I would write a review. They never responded to my email. read more

Ever since I moved to this state, I've always avoided Kroger... opting instead for Tom Thumb / Randall's. I grew up shopping at the local Ralph's (same company as Kroger) in California, and never had any problems... but all the Krogers I ever saw when I lived in Houston were in the bad neighborhoods, and it really just skewed my opinion about Kroger. Anyways, a couple of days ago, I was shopping at the Wal*Mart Neighborhood Market by my apartment, and was bummed to see that they don't sell avocados (and I really needed some!). I remembered seeing this Kroger when I was buying beer at the convenience store on the other side of Central. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was the smell. The store smelled DISGUSTING, and I'm not sure if it was spoiled food, or if a very dirty mop was used to clean the floors, but it was making me feel sick. At one point I really thought I was gonna throw up. I hurried as fast as I could to the produce aisle, where I saw fruit flies on the bananas. Sick! I took a very long look at the avocados before finally deciding they were edible, and then hurried to get out before I did something unpretty (*barf!*). I was really surprised by this Kroger. I mean, I already had a bad perception of them before this happened, and I can say for a fact that I will never shop at one. And it's not even like this store is in a bad area! I couldn't help but look at all the other people there, pushing around carts FULL of groceries, and think to myself, "Do you people not smell that?? Do you seriously buy all the food that you ever eat from a grocery store as gross as this?" Thanks, but I'd rather drive the extra distance to shop somewhere that doesn't make me sick to my stomach. read more

Upon arrival to Texas, I had heard that Kroger was kind of the ghetto grocery store. I listened, and avoided it like the plague. After about a year, and passing the store everyday from work, I finally decided to stop. Boy ol' boy, were those rumors wrong. Entering the store, you'll find the florist section to your left, behind that is the sliced meat & cheese counter. Breads are across, then leads you into the produce section. I have yet to be let down, produce is always in good and reasonably priced. The produce staff is always very helpful in picking out the freshest produce. I make a mean chicken and potato dish, Kroger's package thighs are nice here. Comes in a four pack, without much fat- unlike some other grocer. The pieces are large and tasty. The are on top of expiration dates, and have never left the store with something expiring under a week. Their fruit pints are a good deal too, nice selection for snacks. Store is clean, and staff helpful. Plus, I can get gas as well! Give it a chance and check it out. read more

I have been to this store over 100 times, and this is my current grocery store. We shop here 4-6 times a month and spend over 500$. I absolutely love this store and it's employees. We come here NOT only to buy groceries, but to drop-off AND pick up prescriptions, and to send and receive monies via Western Union. This store DOES NOT SMELL. It is a very clean store, with fresh meats, vegetables, and produce. It also has plenty of parking and is in a wonderful location, right off of Harwood in Bedford. I also absolutely LOVE the employees! They are all very friendly, and ALWAYS offer to scan my Kroger card (which I sometimes forget), and always offer to help me out of the store. I only shop here if I do not want to drive to Whole Foods or Market Street. Produce is fine but limited and organic section is very small even though that is what they push in their adds. Pharmacy is totally over priced. I have been there with both my parents and Mom's antibiotic was 104.00!!! I know it is convenient for them but so much cheaper elsewhere. My biggest issue is checker dude not checking money. My elderly father payed with a crisp fresh 100.00 bill. When the checker guy was putting it in drawer I noticed that it was 2 100.00 bills. It's a grocery store. They're all about the same. Kroger prices seem a little bit more competitive usually. Not a big fan of their produce however. And they have a sale... it's usually pretty good. But they never have enough Checkers ...that's just like all grocery stores. It's convenient cuz it's close to me. Once again, the Kroger store in Bedford, TX never fails to amaze me with what a disappointment it is. It remains in a continuous downward spiral appearing to be satisfied with mediocrity. If they did not sell gas, I am not sure I would even pull in the parking lot much less run into the store on a few minor occasions. They keep bragging on their re-model. What's the old saying - something like "lipstick on a pig". I went in this morning to buy supplies to make blackberry cobbler. After finding one box of baking soda left, I went to the produce area for blackberries. Fruit flies were buzzing all around - not a welcome site for produce shoppers. I located the remaining blackberries they had only to come home to find the package contained numerous blackberries starting to mold. I always enjoy throwing away newly purchased items - kidding of course. Now I get to another store to go find blackberries. Thank you Kroger for continuing to be a terrible grocery store. I have been coming to this location even before they revamped it with the gas station. I enjoy coming here because of the friendly staff and the sushi is great as well. Sam is the funniest most helpful employee at this location. But in all seriousness from Rex in the pharmacy to Brandi at check out I have always walked away happy and saved some money. This is a normal, fine grocery store. It's generally clean, the inventory is organized, and the staff is helpful. The pharmacy can be a bit slow; I had to wait an hour for a prescription that my doc called in days before. I have shopped at this location for years. Two horrible experiences with cashier S (not using her name) are making me want to shop elsewhere. Both times she had an issue with me giving her my phone number for the discount because I didn't have my card either rudely telling me I can enter it myself on the keypad or asking if I knew how. Yes, I know how. However, I have never had an issue asking other cashiers. Am I burdening you? Actually, I heard a previous customer give her phone number to S with no issue. Why was I different? She then decided it was OK to just fling my groceries on the counter during checkout during my second encounter with her. I asked for a manager. Asked for one the first time as well. Got the same young lady both times. She seemed apologetic both times, not sure it was genuine. S was not at all. She talked down to me. I didn't feel valued as a customer at all. read more

The shelves are often missing products, the products are stocked in the wrong places, and the produce is just awful. There use to be a manager there that was real friendly and on top of his store. Waiting in line to get a pen so I could fill out the western union form and the 2 employees behind the desk were more worried about the one employees phone and what it could do. Then while getting the receipt the lady asked me to sign both reciepts. I asked her both? Because I knew one was mine. I have never had to sign my copy. She snapped "BOTH OF THEM". I will not come back to this location. The reason I came here is the once closest to my home currently doesn't have customer service desk to do western union due to construction. The customer service in the Kroger is simply horrible. Seems like every time I go to this location, which is not often, I get attitude, bad customer service and just plain old grumpy people. The customer service desk is the worst.For a moment I thought I was at Walmart. The kid the have at the customer service desk needs more training and a good set of multi-tasking skills.
