Several managers Sangita, Michael, Candice in the Deli, customer service, cashiers, produce and the bakery all excelled in their areas. We placed a fairly large order for an Independence Day Luncheon for 80+ people and Albertsons came through perfectly. Everything was hot, fresh and ready for us to put on the serving line. This Albertsons is relatively clean and organized. I stopped by here on a Sunday around noon and the place was not busy. Parking was not bad. I ran inside and got what I needed, easy to find. However, the self checkout lines were not moving much. The only helper there didn't seem like was actively helping customers needs. read more

I don't typically wear a mask, but I won't be going back to this store without one. Frankly, I'm unlikely to go back at all. It's not coronavirus - it's the SMELL OF THE STORE. It's true that I'm pregnant, and perhaps more sensitive to smells than the average shopper, but my kids each had something to say about the scent the moment we walked in the door. No one else seemed to notice, but then again, everyone was in masks. It smells a little like a seafood market, but I don't think that could be the explanation because the entire store carries the scent and the dead fish set up is in the far back. Plus, every grocery store has a seafood section, and they sure don't all smell like this. My 4 year old candidly yelped "it smells like POOP in here!" but to be fair, kids are notorious for sneaking in the word "poop" whenever they can. I'm not sure that's how I would describe it, but I also can't say the assessment was entirely inappropriate. It could have been fluke (although we did go two days in a row and both days there was THE SMELL), but maybe there was some explanation - a burst sewer line or something. In that case, a notice about the situation would have been helpful: "Please excuse our smell, we are working to correct the situation." I bought some chicken breast for $0.97 a pound (the sale that brought me in), but with the smell still lingering in my nostrils, I don't know that I can eat it. As it is, the prices at Albertsons suck and the overall condition of the store is run down, so I don't feel the need to return. read more

Well, this WAS my favorite Albertsons in the mid-cities. But, much like the one on Harwood in Euless, it's been in a constant downward spiral lately. Just a few trends I've noticed in my last few trips: 1) meat is far closer to expiration date despite being twice the price of six months ago. Picked up a $15 package of 3 chicken breasts that expires today. What?! 2) they don't seem to care one bit about outdated in dry foods. Went to buy a bottle of green sriracha before noticing it was 3 months expired. 3) getting almost as bad as Aldi about out-of-stock items. And trying to hoodwink customers by flexing adjacent products that cost more into space with a lower price tag. I.e. today, they had Tobasco brand sriracha flexed into the Huy Fung foods sriracha space which costs twice the price. Also out of about 1/3 of the items I went there for. 4) surly and just mean employees. Cashier Chase W. Was beyond unfriendly to the older gentleman in front of me who was clearly having trouble hearing him. Then said virtually nothing to me until he stared at me for nearly thirty seconds and said, "umm you're buying beer, I need your ID." Then handed me my receipt and walked away. Awful customer service from Chase. I despise Kroger and Aldi isn't great because of limited selection, so I've always shopped at Albertson's. Looks like I'll need to start looking for alternatives there. This store has gone dramatically downhill. read more

Really? Ashamed that at 730 at night? You can't go to their deli and get sliced to me. Et because they've already closed it down for the night. So what time is your deli open? Because I went there specifically to get sliced lunch meat. And I was told that she's already closed it down for the night. It was 728. Some of us work until 7 o'clock at night. I thought I could stop by there to get sliced to me. But apparently, the person already cleaned the slicer and did not want to slice anything else. Well, I like to think they read my review and took my advice on remodeling this store. You're welcome! They redid everything here! Now there's only one entrance on the east side of the building, but there are big wide doors, not those old creaky ones from before. They put in new flooring, new checkout lanes, and everything looks up to date rather than stuck in the past. The selection is still excellent and even more enticing with the fresh decor. The only thing I don't like and still don't get is why they lock up baby formula in the front of grocery stores. Even Walmart doesn't do this (well some of them). I was pleased that when the 2 checkout lanes they had opened were filling up they called for backup. This will be my new grocery store. read more

Happy to see that this store has received a complete remodel both inside and out this year. The staff has always been friendly here when I've gone. The store is clean and I like that I'm able to usually find what I'm looking for. This is the main store that my family and I frequent. read more

After a few trips to this store we noticed a few items had expired or were expiring within a few days after purchasing them. The most recent trip we ended up only buying a few things and then going to Kroger because half the stuff we picked up was expired: milk, hummus, lunch meat, and frozen items. I wish I had taken photos as proof but if you just walk around the store you will notice half the stuff is expired. read more

I don't usually come to this Albertsons often, it is a little out of my way however, I will be coming more solely because of the customer service. It's hard to be in this type of retail but almost every interaction I have had with a staff member has been very pleasant or even exceptional. Today I was wanting something very specific with a balloon and Marinda was extremely helpful and helped me with what I needed! She is a sweetheart and I will keep coming back for that reason! The only problem is they don't hardly have any garlic covering up the whole bread on the big rolls with the silver wrap I wish they can put more garlic spread on it and cover up good cause no taste and the bread is sometimes stailed read more

I've shopped at this Albertson's for three years. The store is not in the best of shape, but it's right across the street from where I lived until recently, which makes it inarguably convenient. I also shop here for my company's break room and office needs, which I've been doing for this law firm for two years this November. Every time I shop here on behalf of my company, I use a company check. I've often been held up slightly with a cashier who was unfamiliar with the large checks we use, or with someone who was suspicious of them. Today, I did some light break room shopping for the company, and left my cardigan in my car, because it was super hot outside. I have tattoos on my arms, and obviously made a mistake in doing so, because as I took out the check for the young man cashiering, he immediately behaved as if he suspected me of being a con artist. He examined the check, saying he hadn't seen any like that before, and called his manager. That's fine. As we waited for her to come over, my awkward life solidifies the mystery of my being there with not being able to find my driver's license. I try telling him this, but I immediately realize it's only going to solidify his belief that I'm trying to counterfeit, so I let it flow, still searching my purse for my license. I'm already embarrassed because the young man's opinion was blatant, as was the manager's. I wasn't given the benefit of the doubt with at least a certain degree of kindness- I was no longer even being acknowledged as a customer. I inform her that I'll need her to suspend the order because I haven't yet located my license (I've obviously been through this routine several times), and I will come back through the line when it's located. I go to my car in the event that it's there, and sitting down to pour through my bag one more time (I had just used the license for a company check the day before), I find it in a pocket, relieved that I can go back inside with my license to regain my dignity. I go back to the young man's line, and he is none too thrilled to see me. He barely speaks words to me as I hand him the license, the check, and wait for him as he goes back over to his manager, no doubt asking her what he should do. He comes back to me, wordlessly runs the check, and as it approves, he lifts his hands in the air in a giant shrug to his manager across the front aisle, in blatant shock and disapproval that the check went through. I don't hear his question as he asks me if I want the stamps, because I'm in my own head reeling at the treatment I'm receiving at a store I've regularly used for three years total, and after he deadpan repeats it, I say no, I just want my receipt. Here's what my cashier and his supervisor didn't know: I was a highly heralded cashier and later floor supervisor for the incredibly successful Target at Glade Rd. for three years before moving on to office administration. Before Target I was a highly regarded cashier for Kroger, twice. I know everything there is to know about coupon fraud, retail customer service, cash handling, fraud prevention, check processing, how to spot fake checks, how to de-escalate a fraud purchase in process, and most importantly, how to regard customers currently processing payment that I suspect may be using counterfeit means of payment. Remembering to remain PROFESSIONAL and giving your client the benefit of your manners while you run them through the ringer for fraud will often make or break your future at your company. Until your suspicions are confirmed, MIND YOUR MANNERS. In this case, you were wrong. In Texas in 2016, arms with tattoos and a check in hand don't automatically mean fraud; they mean I am a young professional who works for an old fashioned law firm. You regarded me as trash, and it was very embarrassing to stand there floundering when I knew what you thought of me. Today was the final straw for me with this Albertson's. The store smells like bad meat, the shelf that holds the Ozarka waters has been hanging precariously by a thread and no one seems to feel it needs correcting these past few years, and today, while being a regular client who has presented company checks for two years, I was regarded as a criminal. I'd also like to suggest you address with the cart attendant (with glasses, not the one who walks back and forth across the street to work) his proclivity for walking women to their cars then hugging them without warning after he's loaded the car. He insists on helping, then helps himself to physical affection, or some form of touching. He doesn't do it when my husband's there, so although I understand that he does have a subtle mental impairment, he does absolutely have the capacity to understand the implication of his actions. read more

I went in today around 12:30. There wasn't hardly anybody shopping there. I was shocked at how expensive the prices are! I had downloaded the just for u app and uploaded two coupons. When I was checking out, I was attempting to type in my number to use my coupons when the cashier gave me my total. I told him I was trying to type in my just for u number. He looked at their weekly advertisement and said "oh those items aren't on sale anyway" I figured I had mistaken the coupons I had and paid. When I got to my car I realized one of my coupons was indeed valid. I went back in, and customer service refunded me the difference. Even though the nice lady at customer service rectified the situation, I will never shop here again. read more

I often stop by this store on my way home. The store is always clean and tidy all items are stacked neatly on the shelves and the employees are amazing always so helpful though the management isn't as appreciative as they should be towards their workers. They talk rudely to their employees on the sales floor as I've seen even the store director can be harsh at times towards them. There are better ways to talk to your employees but disrespectful isn't one of them. read more

I've been shopping at this Albertsons for years and today I had the rudest cashier, ever! The smaller bottle of Tide Clear was on sale so I asked if the larger bottle was on sale also, since it was on clearance. I usually get lucky and find additionally discounted clearance items. I don't expect this every time but I love when I can get a good deal. So I simply asked her to ring up the item with the discount. Instead of helping, she got hostile and refused to ring it up because "I was trying to get a cheaper price". When she rang up my other items and they were additionally discounted, she canceled my transaction and started ringing items for the higher original price! Who does that?! When her manager got there, I told her that I didn't want the stuff but instead I wanted an apology from the cashier because she was being very hostile at this point. The manager was super nice and apologized but the cashier was just yelling and refusing to admit she was wrong. She yelled half way across the store even as I was leaving! I have never experienced such an awful, embarrassing time at a grocery store. I still cannot believe the whole thing happened. Needless to say, there are two Krogers down the road and a new Fiesta. Hopefully they'll be happy to have my business instead. read more

They're ok for a grocery store. Their fruit prices are high as hell! However, they always have great deals on their meats compared to any other stores. For example, buy 1 get 2 or 3 free. You just have to pay attention to the price per pound to make sure you're getting the best deals. Very nice wine selection too. read more

We love the pharmacy! That is the reason we come here. Today, the cashier at the front of the store was incredibly rude to me. I had to insert my chip three times and scan three times on my debit. Nothing to do with my card. It was like it was my fault. Then I got 150$ cash with my transaction. She looks at me and said *well, I think it is $100 limit,and people usually ask before they do it. Other stores have a $60 limit!!*. I told her I had no idea... there was no sign saying that, and I asked why do you have a limit? She rudely said *because, it inconveniences us, uses up all our money and we figure you can go to the bank or something. This was 6 o'clock at night. I was already here getting groceries, but I guess I should make an after hours trip to the bank to keep her happy.. Never again!!!!!! only the pharmacy. That is the only place I will go from now on. Cashier refused to sell us additional cokes at the sale price. We explained we would be happy to pay with two transactions. She refused to budge. "Nope" was her answer and it was loaded with attitude. We explained again we would like to make two cash transactions to purchase the cokes. You guessed it. She said "Nope" again. The manager came over and told us we could make those purchases as long as we had two separate transactions. The checker mumbled under her breath and made the two sales. It's an okay store. The employees don't seem overly friendly. There have been quite a few times where the cashier doesn't say a word to me, not even hi or thank you, because the employees are too busy talking to each other. But whenever I need help finding an item, the floor crew always seems nice. Once I asked for something in the meat department and the guy behind the counter looked very put out.
