As far as Krogers go, this location is pretty great! Service is usually really good! Only complaint is it sometimes takes a bit to get someone at the chicken service area. Food is always well taken care of and I've never had issues with it. On a scale from 1-10, definitely a 9.5/10! Not perfect but definitely the best! read more

Visit any store but this one. I have never been to a grocery store so short-staffed in my life. There is never anyone to check you out so you get stuck in a self-checkout line that starts in the meat department(back of store) and when the machine has an issue with you there will be absolutely no one to clear the error code or check your ID. HIRE SOME PEOPLE! I don't see how they manage to stay open with all these people just able to walk out after there's no one running the front end. read more

The Kroger's in Woodlawn has the worst so called manager working 8 PM tonight. She refused to help two staff members resolve my issue. Said she was not the manager yet she was working behind the counter in customer service. Nasty dismissive attitude for a human being! Avoid her and maybe the store unless you know exactly what you need and the price is correct. read more

I am a 65 year old AA male. Last Sunday I was told I could not buy wine without showing my ID. I did not have it because I haven't be asked for an id by any Kroger in at least 20 years. I asked to speak to the manager who told me any clerk can ask anyone for ID if they feel they have reason. He wouldn't answer when I asked him do you see any reason a reasonable clerk would ask for my id. As I waited at the service counter I witnessed three individuals at another line purchase alcohol and no one asked to see id. Clearly this policy is inconsistent and possibly discriminatory. For this reason, I will never shop at this store. The manager was dismissive and showed no interest or concern for my issue. His name is Khalid. read more

Good Friday, it's noon. l'm at the Kroger in Woodlawn on Springfield Pike. i notice the inventory is down in all departments. With a full shopping cart I approach checkout and to my horror, I see ONE register open with EIGHT full carts in line. a mob of shoppers with smaller purchases are jamming up the self checkout area. I get in line for the one register open. people with full carts line up behind e with over 12 carts in the cue. The register is right in front of the office where two managers seem indifferent to this nightmare. people in line behind me walk up to the office to complain. When I asked him if he would change his gloves prior to cutting my meat first he ignored me then with a smirk on his face proceeded to change his gloves then IMMEDIATELY pulled up his pants again!!!! Just because this location is outdated doesn't mean they shouldn't take some pride in keeping it clean. I've shopped this location multiple times but it's always as a hassle and never clean. Usually the line for checkout is to the back of the store cause there's typically only one register open and two of the six self checkouts are down. Today though there was no line but they couldn't take cards and the only cash I had was a $100 bill which they said they cannot break. Not sure how this location can continue to operate much longer and the people of Woodlawn definitely deserve better. read more

A bit older Kroger, one without the additional services such as Starbucks, Clicklist and such. Organized like no other Kroger I've been too, but after about four stops in, I think I'm getting used to it. Parking is a little tricky as the Kroger gas station seems to be cutting into the available parking spots. You'll find a spot, but it's always congested with some weird traffic management. Inside the store is clean, usually well staffed. Produce section is kept stocked. I also like the selection of prepared items such as guac, chicken and White bean chicken chilli that I can not get at other locations. read more

I love that you can get gas discounts just for buying groceries! You can download coupons directly onto your Kroger card, too. It is so convenient for me to shop, and the people who work there are friendly and helpful;however, the down side is that it doesn't carry a lot of food that I find at Krogers in the nicer parts of town. I'm envious when friends tell me that they buy something at their store when I know for a fact that I can't get it here. read more

This is a typical Kroger store, but this one has a gas station. There is a Kroger closer to my house with a gas station, but for some reason the gas prices there are 10 to 25 cents higher than this Kroger, and any other nearby gas station for that matter. It's always hectic getting in and out of the gas station but saving 25 cents per gallon (more if you have points on your Kroger Plus card) makes it totally worth the hassle. read more

This is the closest grocery store to our house and it is an okay Kroger. The produce selection is okay, but nowhere near the size of the Hyde Park Kroger or the Symmes Township Kroger. Everything in the store is laid out fine, the deli counter is slow as it seems the workers don't want to wait on one. The old man behind the seafood/meat counter is a grinch as well. The baggers here are really nice especially Ed and the cashiers are also fine. A nice thing is this Kroger has a gas station infront. read more

Meh. The layouts great, albeit small, and the employees are nice... but it could be better. There is always so many people here doing only goodness knows what. Theres not much room to actually get into the store for whatever reason and theres ALWAYS a line to checkout. This is not a place to pop in and out. They're soup and salad bar is decent, they have sushi in the back but its not always the best. They're produce is normally ok, still not always great. They have good sales and people, and have a pretty decent clearance area in the back. The pharmacy tho is always quick and will call when it's ready, so you can shop or go a few doors down for food. They never seem bothered by all the stupid questions you ask about prescriptions either. read more

Came desperate for gas and had no gas to get to another station. Machine didn't want to take my chip card so I quickly ran to the guy in the kiosk. Turns out they were closing. Now I understand that when you're closing down you're ready to go, and had I had any gas in my car I might not have been so upset. I tried to explain to the man that I literally had no gas in my car and the machine wouldn't take my card. He had just sold another woman some stuff so it was clear everything was still on. He was rude and refused to help. Kroger needs to work on their customer service. Shitty experience. read more

Way too busy and crammed for a store that receives the traffic that does. Hasn't been remodeled since opening in mid-2000. Has only 4 self-checkouts - many Kroger stores I've been to have 6-10. I'm surprised they haven't yet moved up Rt. 747 to Cassinelli Square where HQ/Hobby Lobby once were, maybe building a Marketplace-type store. Would rather shop there than Walmart, and not the worst place to shop, but they really can do better. read more

Seems like the idea of service has eluded Kroger this evening, the deli was busy with call in orders which is fine by me being in the food service industry. But when an employee say's we are make any more and it's 6:30 pm dinner time that is a problem. So I went to customer service desk and asked to see the MOD, which was a joke because all the said was it is hard to have help in the deli department because they makes minimum wages and they are busy with call in orders. This grocery store is beyond amazing I love the fact that they have fresh selections and that they take pride in having a neat and organized store and also ld like to shine light on the fact that the staff is so wonderful I drive several miles to go to this grocery store just because the staff there is like no other and I feel that there's grocery store deserves six stars but if that's not available on yelp.
