Why the low reviews for this Kroger? It's super nice (looked renovated?). I came here today for a minute with my parents, but have been to this location before too. We bought some fresh deli rolls for sandwiches later. I saw they had a nice selection of McClure's Pickles in the deli section too, albeit a little pricey ($7.99/jar). They have the new scanner things here too where you can scan while you shop and then checkout is easier, too. Lots of parking both in front of the store and on the side, too. read more

Really got to be the worst Kroger you can go to, sale items are left bare, vegetables and fruit are of the lowest possible quality. I would recommend not coming into the establishment if you value your time and money. Kroger prices have also gone up drastically and they're immensely greedy. read more

They always have everything in stock, I prefer to buy Kroger meat over any other grocery store. Prices are great and they always have some good deals going on! Where to begin? I only go to this Kroger if I need to get something quickly. The could be much cleaner. And it's constantly out if items. They need to do a much better job restocking. I had a terrible experience with the pharmacy here, too. I had just switched jobs and needed to have my rescue inhaler transferred from my old mail-order company to the pharmacy. I entered the required information into the app and heard nothing for five days. I decided to call the pharmacy to make sure they got the order, only to be advised that they didn't do transfers from mail-order companies and that I would have to call them. That's part of the pharmacist's job! I don't know what the heck is going on at this Kroger, but it's clear that they don't really care since they have a built-in customer base due to their location. The corporate store in Novi is much cleaner and has its stuff together. Avoid the Walled Lake store unless you're desperate. read more

In every city I have lived so far, there is always a nice Kroger and a creepy one. Guess which one this is? The check-out lady was old and super grumpy--I changed my mind about an item, and the lady gave me a death glare (maybe it is a sin in grocery shopping land? I don't know) and managed to not say a word to me until she recited my total. Also, there was this huge burly man coughing/hacking up a storm up and down the aisles, and he didn't even cover his mouth. Gross City, USA. I will always prefer Meijer. This Kroger is out of everything all the time. The most basic foods, bread, chicken, coffee creamer, etc. Hardly see employees on the floor and no one stocking. Some employees at the meat counter are rude and unhelpful. Just a disappointing grocery store. read more

The store is clean and the self checkout didn't have any issues, however the only reason this store doesn't get a five star review from me is because the layout of the store is awful, it is so confusing and I see/hear other customers complaining about the same thing whenever I'm there. read more

Since their renovation this place is just putrid in the area they renovated. I work close by & sometimes for lunch want to stop in & get something from the deli area. They'll have 3 workers there & none of them check up on you if you are near the chicken section near the sushi. The sushi people aren't trained to help you, which I understand but the deli people all are awful. This past week, there was one other person in front of me ordering a catering order I believe. All 3 workers helped this ONE person for 10 minutes while I stood in line directly behind this person. At no time did one of these workers have any common sense to get my order & let the other two workers deal with that one customer. After 10 minutes I walked away. The other bad part is that they don't put anything other than the rotisserie chickens in the "warm" good area for people to grab & go. When you have 3 combined people working two areas (deli, chicken, & sandwiches) then why not put the chicken tenders, boneless wings in the warm food area for people to grab. I don't want to grab in the cold section because maybe I am trying to eat it soon not much much later. You go into the cold chicken area to the side & they have about two dozen cold containers of each flavor of chicken but none in the warm area. This is one of the worst ran deli/chicken Kroger I have ever gone to. They have two or three sushi people at one time to take care of 5 feet of a counter with a dozen products at most but three deli/chicken people to take care of 60 feet of counters & hundreds of products. read more

BEWARE OF THE PHARMACY, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I'm going to stay calm and collect myself, because I just had the worst experience on my time on this planet, and I decided I'd make a Yelp account just to review them. My doctor called in my prescription on Friday, March 19, 2021. On Tuesday, March 23, I called to confirm it was available for pickup, and was placed on hold for 32 minutes before I gave up and called the front desk. My problems begin here. I told her I needed to talk to the pharmacy, because I'm having a medical emergency and NEED my pills. Her response? *Hangup* I call back, hello I need the pharmacy immediately. *Hangup* The third time I said I wanted to talk to a manager, and he told me he'd walk over to the pharmacy himself, and make sure I was helped. On hold for ten seconds, into *Hangup* I called back a fourth time, got someone else and they got me to the pharmacy, only for them to talk to me for 10 seconds, and hung up on me. Later on, they called me and said that we were out of that medication that I desperately needed. My alternative was a hospital if I didn't get my medication within a couple hours. I was stunned, I asked her if they would've ever called me, her response, "no". Fortunately, I called the CVS across the street and they made sure I had pills for a week, while they treated me with respect. They are very nice people at CVS. Phone number: 248-624-4110. There is only one register open and 6 people in line with full carts. Additional people have tried to get in line but because it is so long they annoyed opted for self checkout. We are not being paid and should not be forced into that option, it should be just that an option. read more

Review is for the Deli which is so bad it kinda ruins the store for me. They don't train the employee to cut against the grain, which really has a huge effect on the end experience. I've thrown away countless bags of meat after opening it and finding a stringy mess. Don't waste your money on the Boar's Head or even the Private Selection here; they'll almost certainly ruin it on the slicer. read more

I'm definitely a Meijer fan, but I like that this location has two Red Boxes, and I can always count on Kroger to have the item I forgot to get on my first shopping trip. We stop in there for those odd and end items that we need and don't want to go all the way to White Lake for (which is where our favorite Meijer is). The store is always clean and neat, the produce area has plenty of variety. The pharmacy people are friendly as well. read more

I know I can count on finding what I'm looking for here and the employees are always friendly. The pharmacy has the nicest and most helpful group of pharmacists and techs that I've come across. They've redone the entire inside and put in a Starbucks. It's a great place to shop. There used to be a few staff that made me feel like they didn't want me to be there, but as of late the service has been great. But selection of the Kroger I've been to. The produce is good, that's really all i care about, there's your 3 stars right there, on the negative side, the staff seems like they don't care, but if I was making minimum wage I guess I wouldn't care much either. it's never a fast check out unless you go 30 minutes before they close. And for god sakes why do they allow people with more than 15 items to go through the u-scan checkouts. I will need to be desperate before I go into this store again. Ugh. First of all they had no shopping carts in the store so I decided to get just the essentials for one meal. The produce was terrible. The store and shelves were a mess. I got to the checkouts and the few lanes open(including the self serve) were at least 15-20 deep (maybe more) and big orders. This was on a Monday night with no immediate holidays coming up. I returned the few items to the service desk, apologized for not being able to wait and walked out. It was chaos in there. They always seem to be out of whatever I need at the time. The produce here isn't as good as the Kroger on 14 mile.

95% of the time I just get so fed up with this place I want to leave my full cart of groceries & book it out of the store. They rarely have a good selection of produce. Their self checkout staff are usually rude & unhelpful. When you go to a regular checkout lane, although the cashier is usually pleasant, there is no bagger so you either wait longer & let the cashier bag or do it yourself. 9x out of 10 when you walk in there are never any of the plastic arm carriers. I live right across the street from this Kroger but usually drive the extra 2 miles to the Kroger or meijer down the street. read more
