(Should have been written for a generic, but was written for the brand name) Instead of saying it couldn't be filled, he contacted the physician's office and got approval for a new script. Very poor customer service!! We asked for help and were ignored. A man at the service desk/lotto area told us he was busy and did not seek out another worker to help us! Also, the Citizens Bank ATM in this Kroger is very inconvenient! It has a virtual teller and it takes longer to deal with that compared to a regular ATM. There are regular Citizens Bank ATMs at CVS stores. Another Yelper posted about the spoiled meat. That photo of the brownish colored meat is disgusting! I will not return to this Kroger. read more

Stopped in here to grab two items that another store didn't have. There was a sign that said asparagus is $3.49/ pound regular price but $2.49/ pound if you clip the coupon on the app. I also needed one avocado. A "medium" is $.99 and a "large" avocado is 2 for $5! And they're not even from Mexico! Since I had two items, I did self checkout. The asparagus wasn't scanning so I called for help. The woman working - Nikki - wasn't very nice. She scanned the asparagus and threw it into the bag. Luckily they are somewhat of a hearty vegetable. There was a customer next to me having trouble scanning too and Nikki mumbled, "oh God" and rolled her eyes. Her attitude was really bad like her BO. read more

I had a horrible experience with the pharmacist at Walled Lake today. The pharmacist was rude and yelling at me because she didn't know that dexcom g7 will send vouchers for a cgm so the patients can have access to it immediately. She basically implied I was lying and since I could reorder my standing Rx she couldn't give me my replacement cgm(continuous Glucose monitor) the old one malfunctioned. She said dexcom didn't do it. I had the email coupon from Dexcom and hsd spoken to a pharmacist a day prior who explained to me that They had to be treated as seperate transaction. So I arrived today and she was awful to me. She said she can only fill the nine from rx not 10. I told her it was 2 seperate transactions showed her info sent from dexcome. She yelled at me at this point I yelled back. I have never ever done this before she wouldn't even look at the notes the previous pharmacist had left. So I said just do the 9 then. Then some guy called me a Karen. Some guy who just butt in not knowing wtheck was going on. A very nice guy who I had talked to while waiting for Rxs before apologized for me being treated that way. I thanked him. The pharmacist then called me over and started to yell at me again saying she had to tell me why she couldn't fill it again. I said I already told you to just fill the nine and I will contact dexcom for the replacement. She started freaking out until I said' I need to walk away from you because you are not listening to me. Walked away talked to management they got it resolved. No apology from pharmacist. I have never ever in my life felt so emotionally drained. She should of taken a moment to call Dexcom to confirm. I cried in the parking lot. I hope she gets help. The pharmacy tech was wonderful, she actually mentioned the notes in the computer. I am mortified that I responded to her and the young buttinsky. Karma stinks. The other pharmacist is great. read more

Hanan, one of the cashier's at the Novi, MI location is horrible and the rudest to customers! Every time we have to deal with her, she is in the back room by customer service and someone has to find her, then when you ask her a question, she does not seem familiar with Kroger's products, procedures and policies, to the point that we have to get a store manager involved. She intentionally wasn't going to mark down the day old bakery items we had asked her about and just let them get thrown out, rather than make a sale and make money for Kroger's. When we went to return an item, she scanned it and then said they did not sell it there, the manager made her return it and give us the credit. She definitely needs more training in proper customer service and maybe should be in a different department, instead of offending customers and not doing her job well. read more

This Kroger is Number #1 in most every aspect. They have excellent service, some really great long-time employees and a huge selection of items. If you have a special request, they try to accommodate. The meat department is very good. Look for some good prices on their marinated, fresh chicken breasts. The only point of improvement is their deli service. It is, many times, super slow and there does seem to be a lot of people working, but clearly, they have other duties and they won't cut meat. The improvement they have made to this gap in service is to have pre-cut deli meats in a cooler across from the deli. This is a go-to for sure. It cuts out the whole process of waiting for your meat to be sliced. Special kudos to the sushi department, one of the best around! It's a market, but it is good! The same sushi specialist has been there from the beginning and he is so nice and does a great job. I have been shopping at this Kroger since the first days it was open. When I am there, it has a feel of a previous era, at times, because I know the names of the employees and they know mine. They have watched my kids grow up and it is nice to feel at home. read more

Just wanted to put a shout out to the Kroger associates who work the Kroger Pickup program! You people have been amazing since this whole pandemic started! When I was having issues getting used to wearing a mask without having a panic attack, there you were...shopping my list and bringing my groceries to my truck with a smile. Even though so me of my items were not available at times, you always managed to find a comparable replacement. When I had last minute shopping to do after work, and just didn't want to deal with a mask...there you were.....bringing my groceries to my trunk. For a while there it was very difficult to get a time slot for pick up and I had to try another stores program, let's just say I won't ever stray for Kroger again! You rock! Keep it up! This is a nice, newer Kroger, the only issue is this Kroger is always a zoo. The crazy thing is, theres like 4 Krogers within 5 minutes of this location, but this one is always busy. I never have an issue when I go here though, the U-scan is always quick and easy, and I'm always in and out pretty quick. read more

Leslie at your deli counter is the sweetest most efficient person ever. I love coming to see her and appreciate her hard work and effort. I trust that my deli meat is cut just the way I like and I love she always gives me a sample to make sure I love the meats I'm getting. I only get my deli meat from this location. I will return because of her. You better keep this lovely lady! Amazing service. Also she recommended the Boars Head Hawaii chicken and it has become my favorite! This Kroger is conveniently located near the highway and by primary intersections. It has its own parking lot and lots of space. They do try to keep this place clean and up to date, but produce constantly flies off the shelf. The staff that replace the produce and the Asian and ethnic foods are friendly and helpful. The staff that serve the fried chicken at the deli are often hit or miss, it's always an inconvenience to certain ones when you want to order food. It's always too much trouble to get them to try to put chicken into a container. The other issue with this Kroger is prices are often rung up wrong, when you take it to customer service depending on whom you get it can be a terrible experience. One particular one, Michelle, will not only grudgingly reimburse you for the mistake but also do not want to make up for the Michigan scanner law. The process with her in particular is that you have to take pictures to prove to her that the prices are wrong, for example at item says 2 for $6.00. Which means $3.00 each, on sale from $3.49. I had to show her on a calculator that if you buy only one it does come to $3.00. I also had to show her the sign that it is $3.00 each. Then she makes a production about having to reimburse the difference. She doesn't give the $5.00 Michigan scanner law unless you specify it to her, which she knows she has to. The issue isn't the .49, but the principle of the constant pricing issue at this place, and then the other rudeness of the people in some of the departments like the "customer service" department. I would not post this had it not happened at least 5 times in the last three months of shopping there. Perhaps they believe that people in this area won't miss the .49 plus the $5.00, but its just wrong what they are doing in so many ways. Poor service, wrong pricing, lack of apology, attitude, and trying to take more money from shoppers. Now multiply this by everyone that shops here that doesn't pay attention, or does pay attention and still get taken advantage of. It's a really nice Kroger's, but the caliber of people they have hired are quickly degrading a good place to shop. read more

Used to love this location but has certainly gone downhill. Can't get deli offerings or fresh seafood. Have to choose precut/prepackaged which often appears undesirable. They often run out of sale items before the busy weekend, 3 days into the sale. Who is charge of ordering? Some nice employees, but others are less than helpful and rude. Greatly prefer the Kroger on ten mile even though it's less convenient. Sad. read more

My favorite Kroger location to shop at without a doubt. The checkout staff are always friendly but more importantly, the produce is fresh and the sale items are always available. This is also by far the best location to get sushi from and they sample it regularly so you can try before you buy. I love how the chef is nearly always there making it fresh or to order when I go. One word: Starbucks If something is going to make my shopping trip at a Kroger (of all stores) more enjoyable, it's going to be a Grande Soy Pumpkin Spice Latte. In addition to the Starbucks, this Kroger has a lot of other reasons to earn a 4 star from me. It is clean, the employees are more than friendly and they have recently been advertising "faster checkout", which has actually been true lately. I like the wine selection at this store. The fact that they sell Boars Head deli meats tells me that they care about carrying lots of high quality brands. All in all, I am glad to have Kroger close by as a choice for my shopping. read more

This is a 5 star Kroger when it comes to most things however their bakery dept was a complete failure when a custom birthday cake was ordered. They received the order with plenty of time (several days in advance) however their bakery manager, apparently ignored it. Luckily Brittany, one of their their store managers went to work on this and was able to find a similar cake at another Kroger location. Thank you Brittany for providing a solution. Unfortunately the incompetent bakery manager is hurting an otherwise excellent Kroger...and there are not that many of these around! read more

I usually love this Kroger. I went on a Sunday night and it was slow. 5 People waiting to bag my stuff. They are waiting for "Paul" to come ring me up. He proceded to not acknowledge me, just talk about his "Date" the night before. I couldnt believe 5 People are are standing aroung talking like that, asking for details. The absolute worst Kroger I've ever been in and the worst grocery store I've ever been to. Let's start with the carts are always in the parking lot and never inside. Secondly, everyone in here is rude. The man who cuts the deli meat is an asshole and has no manners. The woman in the meat department who does the custom meats is so terribly awful, it's clear she hates her job. They wear one glove and touch your meat. I don't care if that's standard or if the "germs burn off" don't touch my meat with your bare hands after scratching your nose. The people who work here know nothing and lastly, the rude cashiers. I went to scan my Kroger card, well things have changed since I was last in (LAST WEEK) and instead of telling me "oh scan it right here" she's pointing to the new automatic scanner like I know wtf that's for and impatiently waiting for me to scan my card. I told her "sorry, you didn't say anything, just pointed. I don't speak hand movements." Get off your high horse sweets, you work at Kroger and have some manners. Overall a good store, but I have shopped here since the day it opened. The customer service has really gone downhill. Some of the new cashiers and baggers seem more concerned with their dates, or parties, or talking to each other. One time when I was checking out, a cashier never stopped talking to the bagger and when she finally gave me my total, I asked her if she was speaking to me. I give plus marks for the sushi, is always good and the people at the sushi counter always great ! I give minus marks for the slow deli counter. People are stopping on their way home for dinner items, have some more staff at that time. Also minus marks for the bakery department, understaffed and under friendly. They always seem too busy to answer questions or actually look up to speak to you if you are standing there. This is a nice store in general, I will continue to shop here for the majority of my groceries. read more
