Just had to drop by to write that this store is still the worst grocery store I've ever had the misfortune of visiting. Today during my visit on a Saturday at about 6:50pm I noticed one of the self scan clusters on one end of the store was shutting down. That seemed pretty early to me, as the story was very busy. I went to the other self scan side and found a line backed up down one of the shopping aisles. I went down to the other self scans that were shutting down and found one was still open and asked the employee there if I could use it because there was a large line on the other side of store holding people up. The employee did nothing but say "these are closed" even as I tried to explain what was going on and that their store was backing up. "These are all closed," was all I heard. I have no idea why the store is closing down half of the checkouts before 7pm on a Saturday night in the first place, but it was great to see the employees have no interest in remedying the situation so they can shut their post down and not be bothered to do anything. I sincerely hope another grocery chain moves into Pataskala in the near future so the residents arent forced to give this garbage business their money just because it's the only store in town. read more

This is a really good Kroger, bigger than the one on E Main in Reynoldsburg or most in the East side of Columbus. It has both sushi and an olive bar. I know, I know the olive bar has a reputation for being overpriced but I have three words for that: stuffed grape leaves. They are awesome! Granted they are smaller than what you would get at a Greek restaurant but it's by the pound though! This Kroger is one of the marketplace ones so it has a variety of kitchen accessories and such and not badly priced. Some things are much better at Target, Walmart but the latter is kind of a big time commitment, cannot get in and out and the experience is something I avoid unless I have no other choice. Why four stars then? Well I hate the self checkout when it's a big shopping trip, and at this location you have no other option past 8 PM which is typically when I do my shopping. Do wish they would make it later, there are enough shoppers to justify it most nights. So had to rearrange the day and make fantastic time to avoid it, and I made it! :) read more

Has anyone else noticed how rude these employees are? I mean this is worse than trying to get a thank you from McDonald's. I was just about run over by some woman trying to stock drinks about 1115 Sunday morning. When I asked her to consider the people that sign their checks, she laughed and passed me in oncoming traffic. Sooo rude. Giant will get my business from now on. Come on Kroger. It usually takes forever for the pharmacist to pick up the phone. As a provider, I have called this pharmacy several times for new or refill medications for my patients. It usually takes at least 10 minutes for me to be able to be connected to the pharmacist. I did call this morning and waited for 8 minutes then the phone was routed back to customer service. I expect them to do better if they want to stay in business. I have never experienced this with any other pharmacy including other Kroger pharmacies. read more

So disappointed in the deli at Kroger today. Why ask how I want my items sliced when you are going to slice them how you want. The ladies in the deli today spent so much time complaining to each other. One mentioned the sliced should be oiled before they open tomorrow. Instead of agreeing the other women said I mentioned that back in October. Than they were sharing the "good" slicer. So it was taking twice as long for everyone. I was trying to save time by getting my deli items at Kroger today and it took almost 30 min for a pound of turkey, a pound of ham and 1/2 pound of cheese. There was only one person in front of me when I arrived at the deli. read more

The new design is inconvenient and inconsiderate of those who are disabled or unable to come inside to get their prescriptions. Someone up the chain clearly Isn't doing their job. So before this experience I would've rated this kind of middle-ing, just a Krogers you know? But my roommate was looking for bratwurst hamburgers that were frozen but hadn't seen them in the case. We asked two different employees both of whom didn't know where it would be and directed us to another person. I would've given up at that point but my roommate stayed focused. We went to the front where we did finally run into the store manager who first called a meat employee on his wallow talkie and the meat employee said where the brat burgers were located and it was the same place my roomie had already not been able to locate them in. Instead of just re sending us to do a better job looking he went to look himself He came back with both varieties or the brat burger with a smile and no sign of irritation at the inability we had to find things that had apparently been right in front of our faces.A+++++ read more

The pharmacy has been pretty unreliable for a few months now. If you're in a situation where your prescription requires you wait until the last couple of days before refilling, there's a good chance you're out of luck. I drive by multiple grocery stores on my way home from work. I go here because the checkout lines are fully staffed. I don't like spending my free time waiting in line, which is the case at most groceries stores on the east side. These guys just get it. Love the beer selection and great deals on food. This is a HUGE Kroger and it has nearly everything you'd ever need in terms of groceries. But it also has a State liquor store, a bank and a pharmacy. The butcher has good meats and fresh fish, and if you need a hot meal to go, the delicatessen has rotisserie chickens and plenty of side dishes (plus other foods that are ready to eat). If you are a beer and wine fan, then you'll be glad to know they have an extensive selection of both. There's plenty of parking and though it is a huge store and is always crowded, they have plenty of checkout lines so you never have long to wait. Better yet if you have just a few items you can self-checkout and be out in a snap. read more

Two years ago I went to pick up my script. I found out they had my info crossed with someone else. I ended up with somebody's viagra. They apologized and got me what I came for. I have visited this location 4 times in the last 24 hrs. I still don't have all my scripts. My info is still crossed with someone else. First visit they said they don't have my prescription. Call the doctor and they say they have the e-script records saying it went through. Go back and told its still not ready. I tell them the times that it went thru. I am told Dr office put the wrong date. I call Dr office at 9 am. They say my records are correct and they will verbally call it in. Get a text from the nurse saying it was handled. Go to Kroger an hour later. It's not ready. Told the machine is broken. Talk with the boss. She says she called in the script herself. I told her she is lying that I have the text from the nurse and that I have the paperwork showing my correct date of birth. I'm told come back in 10 minutes. I go back and 50 minutes later I am told 2 of my 3 drugs are ready. So as I type this I am waiting until it's time to leave for my 5th trip to get my final drug. No excuse for such poor management. I am going back to the VA for my script needs read more

There's a Starbucks inside, which is AWESOME! Their produce selection is pretty good but it does get picked over sometimes. Their beer selection is slowly, and I mean really slowly, getting better. Rather than two full shelves of AB and Miller/Coors beers they have 1 1/2 shelves of Miller/Coors and AB products with a small selection of good craft stuff. read more

I want to start with a question has anyone ever gone grocery shopping and realize after receiving a phone call from the police that I didn't scan the pop. So they cop said i needed to come over there and give them the money. Fine i don't have a problem paying for it. I paid almost $200 that store trip. I'm there every week sometimes many times a week for over 10 years. So anyway I get there they start by talking down to me how I did this on purpose i tried to explain myself he cut me off and told me that if i didn't sign this paper he had he was pressing charges on me and now I'm banned from the store. I apologized said it was not my intention for that to happen. And again cuts me off tells me now we both know thats not the truth. Oh and not to mention he took me over to the only register that was open next to the self check out so all of the employees and customers heard everything. The only thing ever on my record is a speeding ticket. I'm a stay at home mom who takes care of a child with cerebral palsy and husband that has some problems i won't say to hurt his feelings. He just lost his job last week. We may be loosing our home. I'm having many medical problems myself so I'm under a great deal of pressure and stress. I'm sorry I made a mistake and I apologized for it. I've never in my life been treated this way. I want a apology and they need to take me off the list not that i would ever step foot in there again. I deserve a apology. I would give negative stars but not sure how. It's so sad think there was the only place I went to get away by myself and just walk around we don't have much money but it was somewhere i could go and feel comfortable i looked forward to it sad yes i know but it's all i had. Get your prescriptions at a 24 hour one. I don't understand how they call themselves a fucking pharmacy if they're never open during reasonable normal hours, or the same time every day... Since when did they decide to have crappy bank lobby hours?! I've had this location as my go to pharmacy since we moved down the street from there. Horrible decision this place is never open when I can make it there in early evenings. The last several times I went to pick stuff up from there between 6-7:00 pm and they were closed every time. I even went there on a Saturday afternoon at 4 and they were closed. No holidays. Their site lies and says they're open weekdays till 9. Nope. Try 3 hours less than that. I'm pregnant and need my thyroid meds. Wtf. This place is a piece of shit. read more
