I love shopping here BUT I hate the cleanliness of this place in one spot! The restrooms ! The upfront one always smells horrid. I went to this Kroger location expecting to buy a few items and leave, but I was completely unable to make a purchase. The store refuses to actually check out customers anymore--they just force everyone to do self-checkout for free. When I asked for basic help at the register, employee Manager Antwain flat-out refused to assist me and denied me service entirely. I left the store empty-handed with nothing I came for. This is ridiculous and disrespectful to paying customers. If you're not going to provide basic checkout service, don't act surprised when people stop shopping here. Never again. read more

There was an issue with an employee at 10:46 pm 7/19/26. He came off real aggressive at a random gentle men saying they close at 11:00 pm repeatedly and proceeded to escalate the situation by bringing up calling the cops. I'm not sure why the reviews for this location are so low ... but I'm here to say that this is easily the best Kroger I've found in Greater Nashville. We don't live anywhere near Goodlettsville, but we make it a point to go out of our way to visit this location whenever we're doing a big shopping trip. The parking lot is enormous, and there's an attached gas station for any of my fellow Kroger fuel points fiends. (I've also found the gas prices to be a bit lower than they are in Nashville city limits!) Sure this store can get busy ... but we've found the best time to shop is on a Saturday or Sunday morning right around 9 AM. You may encounter some employees stocking shelves - but I'd much rather that than a jam-packed store of shoppers. I've always found this store to be well-supplied, and have rarely had to ask an employee where something is located. It was touch-and-go for a bit during their recent renovation, but thankfully that's all finished, and the store looks better than ever. There's sometimes a line to check out, but it moves quickly enough that it shouldn't make an impact on the rest of our day. We bring reusable bags for our big trips - and prefer to use the larger self-checkout lane that has a belt. I will caution that the belt is a bit sensitive - but a little patience should be all you need to ring out your groceries. read more

Out of all the Kroger's in the area, this location is my absolute go-to! I am here multiple times per week and maybe even twice on Sunday. This location is one of the larger stores that features all the specialty areas from meat counter, bakery, cheese island and of course a Starbucks! While the inside stations are great, this store also features two fuel center stations! Stock is always on point here, and it is a rarity that I leave without something I was after. You have to time your produce visits just right, as it can get down to the "meh" stock on the weekends. Service is always friendly and helpful in the aisles and at the registers. They usually have a few full service lanes open, and most of the time they have both portions of self-check open and staffed. Only complaint about this location is the cart situation. The parking lot is normally overflowing with carts, so make sure you grab one on the way in to ensure you have one. Overall, this is my Kroger and I will certainly be back time and time again! read more

With the gas station attached and the Starbucks inside the property, this particular Kroger location is seeking to challenge a store like Super Walmart. Well they don't have clothes and other items, they do have some kitchenware in here, as well There were some decent deals in here and service was rather good. All in all, I would recommend coming here. The only thing I found a bit strange was that it was set back a little from a main road. Possibly not the smartest location. read more

While this Kroger is better than most that I've been to in the Nashville area, the checkout lines always seem to take so long! But if you have few items and can do self checkout, it might be a perfect shipping experience. This store frequently seems very well stocked, there's a Starbucks inside that is quick and delicious, I've used the little clinic in the store for some minor cold symptoms in the past and it was fast, the store is organized and clean, and my son loves riding in the shopping cart with the car attached (and the ones available here are pretty well maintained compared to some of the other stores). For some reason I feel like there are not as many cart corrals in the parking lot here though so returning your cart can be a headache depending on where you park, so maybe just try to plan for that when you first arrive. read more

I special ordered a cake for my son's 5th birthday, 3 weeks in advance via Krogers online bakery ordering system. Went to pick it up and was told they didn't have it. I just left this Starbucks store in this Kroger and had a terrible experience with the manager, Candice. I came in to the Starbucks and attempted to use my rewards for a merchandise purchase but was told that wasn't allowed - which is fine but Candice was very rude that she has to be bothered with this transaction. When I went to pay for my coffee using the Starbucks app, I noticed that the barista redeemed my rewards for the drink, which isn't what I wanted to do so we had to bother Candice once again to fix this error. Candice left me waiting at the Starbucks register for 30 minutes before coming to cancel the transaction. Customers after me has to be inconvenienced to pay cash because the barista wasn't able to do anything at the register. Once Candice arrived to fix the error, she didn't apologize for the unacceptably long wait and how Candice acted was so inappropriate for no reason other than I was interrupting her social hour asking for her to do her job. Not only is this terrible customer service from Candice, it is also a disservice to the Starbucks barista at the Kroger. How is a person like Candice in a position of leadership? She is a terrible example of a leader and definitely not what you would expect from a manager. Kroger should revisit the definition of customer service and hospitality, because to have to wait 30 minutes to fix an error and for management (Candice) to be rude on top of that, is completely unacceptable. I will definitely not be returning to this shop at this location and would advise everyone else to shop at Publixx. read more

The man working the area of self check is rude. I typically don't use self check but there were no cashiers. I used the self check conveyor belt since I had quite a bit and didn't realize that if the items got backed up that it would stop the belt. He marched over and rudely exclaimed, "The belt has stopped. You stopped the belt!". He could've just mentioned that you have to bag up items before continuing but he wanted to be hateful right off the bat. I tossed a bag of rolls after I scanned them, not realizing that it would "stop the belt". I had other items to scan and didn't want the bread to get crushed. He demanded to know "Why'd you throw the bread?? Why did you through the bread??. Now you've stopped the belt again!". I would have loved to had a cashier check out my many items but the inconvenience of not having one sent me to self check out. I will now go to Publix and pay more because their service is always stellar. read more

Because my wife has low immune due to chemotherapy, we wanted to pick up our Rx at the remote pharmacy station in back of the Kroger Goodlettsville store. When I pulled up, the station's interfaces (phone, screen, keypad, window for the pneumatic tube, etc.) looked as though a St. Bernard had slobbered all over it. Eewww. So I had to handle everything with my Clorox wipe instead. I may have avoided COVID-19 but it's hard to tell what else I may have picked up! Additionally, we had groceries delivered to our home from Kroger on 27 March 2020, choosing to stay out of the store for the same reasoning. Our delivery driver dropped the milk and it went all over the road. He said we would get credit. Yeah, right. I'm still waiting. No word. Go figure. It's Kroger! read more

It saddens me to lower the stars, but already after just two months or so, you can clearly tell the management had changed. I enter early morning before work to get my dry goods to save time when I get off work. This is prime time for stocking, but the amount of product on the floor is ridiculous and plain not safe. Employees do not even assist in trying to move something so you can maneuver a cart through an aisle. It's unreal, they see you turn into the aisle and turn their backs so they don't have to acknowledge you. Been a regular customer at the store for over 11 years. I go anywhere from 4 to 5 times a week. I am having severe arthritis pain today but needed to get two bags of cat litter. I thought I could count on Kroger for good service, but when I went up to the 15 item lane with my two items just now, there were two people in front of me in line who each had about 30 items each. On a regular day, I would've been frustrated because it's disrespectful, but today every second I stand is horribly painful. I asked about it, and the cashier started shaking her head at me and informed me that, "we don't care about that," (meaning number of items), "we just want to get people out of the store quickly." That was kind of my point. I called the store manager to explain why not enforcing the policy can present a hardship to someone with a chronic pain condition and was told, "It's not that we don't care, it's that cashiers have the discretion to take customers with more items if their line is slow." That is completely understandable and reasonable, and I have even been invited over to a 15 item or less line in the past, but not when there is a line of people with twice as many items. Also, when that has happened to me, and someone has walked up behind me with just two items, I have let them go in front of me. Very frustrating to have a chronic pain condition and not have Kroger honor its word. If it is not really a low item lane, don't advertise it as such. And if a customer tells you that not enforcing your own policy is a hardship due to a pain condition, don't tell them you are "sorry" even as you defend the situation. If there had been one cart with many items, or two carts with 20-ish items each, even then it would've been different. There is a difference between a customer being "difficult" and a customer being honest. I felt disrespected, and belittled, and that isn't right. read more

Pharmacy's service is the worse. I signed up for their membership and I regret it. They have messed up my prescription more than one and it takes at least 30 minutes to pick up my medicine either through drive thru or inside the store. Worse pharmacy ever! My family does not recommended. read more

Even though employees are busy restocking the shelves and hauling pallets, they are still engaging and ask me if I need help. My wife and I went to Kroger this morning to pick up a few groceries. Since we're seniors, we arrived about 6:50 a.m., knowing that the store hours for seniors ( people 60 years old or older ) are specifically from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. There we're multiple people younger than 60 years old inside the store. Obviously, Kroger is NOT enforcing their senior policy in regard to what they are advertising on television. So much for their concern about senior safety. I guess that is a policy that sounds good to the public. However, Kroger is just like most all businesses....it's all about the money. read more

This is considered a "super" Kroger if such a title exists. They recently renovated from a regular Kroger. While I do like that there is obviously many more options, I just feel very overwhelmed when I come into this store. I've been in about 5 times since the upgrade and have yet to even make it to the left side of the store! Yes, it's that big. They do have a spectacular deli section. Sushi, pizza, sandwiches, I mean just any and everything you could ever want. You can also eat there as well. They have a nice section with tables and chairs. If you are a beer drinker (this girl) you will want to come in at least for this reason alone. An entire double sided isle of beer! Prices are reasonable as well. Cheaper than the convenience store for sure. Also, it's conveniently placed very close to the door and check out area! So you can literally walk in, grab your beer and get your drink on in a major timely fashion. Beer not your thing? They have Starbucks! And pastery! Two separate gas stations as well. This store appears to be simply too large for management to efficiently maintain. Like most Kroger stores, every aisle is littered with excessive stand-alone displays and a trek through the entire establishment can be frustrating and exhausting for even the fittest of supermarket shoppers. My last (I will NEVER return) visit ended when I reached the many, many check-out lanes to discover that only one was open to accept payment. Having filled a shopping cart to overflowing I was confused to find that this sole register displayed a large sign that say "Approximately 15 items" . Surely, they didn't expect me to use the self-check-out machines! When I asked an employee for clarification I was told "Oh, just use that one. We never have more than one register open at this time of day." When given the choice, I will always spend my money where it is most convenient for me to do so. When I'm ready to pay for merchandise, I expect a retailer to be prepared to take my payment. The Publix down the street never hesitates to open a new lane if they see that customers are having to wait to check out. That's where I'll be shopping from now on. read more

I would love to give this Kroger better than 3 stars, because it's clean, the store is pretty well-stocked, and the staff members are nice. However, they never, ever have enough check-out lanes open! I complained about them only having one lane open yesterday morning, and the response was "we actually have 7 open." No. Wrong. I don't count the self-check-out lanes. They are particularly difficult to deal with when you have a lot of groceries, as I usually do. A woman who works there ended up having to help me anyway (at the "self-check-out") so wouldn't it be more efficient to just open more lanes? I don't ask Kroger to come do my job, so please don't ask me to check myself out at the store. read more

Great place to shop. Very friendly staff and usually well stocked. Much more peaceful shopping experience than Walmart. Lines are usually not long. Sometimes deli gets our call-ahead order wrong but they make it right. Love the coupon system. Gas stations are clean and easy to access, especially the new one. read more

Worse store in Goodlettsville. Customer service flew out the window with this people. The folks putting up stock are so rude. They would not help you if their life depended on it. They will knock you down trying to get in front of you. The shopping carts are always full of trash that they refuse to take out when bringing them in. Who wants to put their groceries in a cart that is full of dirty tissue's or food wrappers? If you go to customer service they look at you like you just landed on earth. When I moved back here and found out there was a super Kroger now I couldn't wait to see it. Well I haven't left the store yet paying under $100 for a small basket full. One thing I will not purchase again is meat unfortunately. I had a very bad experience and was made to feel I did something wrong when I called and spoke to management. He was very rude and mind as well have said " YOU ARE A LIAR" the customer service person clearly smelled the meat as I did ... It was horrid! My refrigerator is still suffering and I bought plenty of baking soda. Never received an apology from anyone for the $15 of rotten meat I bought. I was however told I was not the only one bringing it back. That was enough for me to plan my future shopping (at least for meat) elsewhere. It's a shame because I've bragged so much on this store over the past couple of months. Other than that most all the cashiers seem to really not like being there. Not the friendliest bunch for sure. The store is really big so it's not your typical get milk and bread and dash out store.
