The friendliest market that I know of! And Jimmy Cantrell cooks and serves some fantastic food from there.

Best breakfast sandwiches and best service in Nashville. They are hot and ready at 6a with different meats on different mornings.

This came immediately after being boldly instructed to stand at the 6 ft. line. Almost like being yelled at for putting the cleaner on the counter so the cashier could scan it. Perhaps her bold instructions would be better aimed at the cashier who moved around the force field to scan the cleaner violating my space. Just saying, if you're going to forcefully dictate what people are going to do, you might want to be nicer to begin with amd start the procedural conversation earlier. But calling me a jerk because i wouldn't break her own 6 ft rule? That's rude and uncalled for. There's no way to maintain 6 ft from the cash stand and check out.. politics... making rules that can't logically be enforced.

OK, lets get down to BIG business. Yes, most everything at GFS comes in larger than life packaging…read more That doesn't mean you should increase your portion size. The best part about this location is the friendliness of the staff. Yep, every single time I have been here I feel that they are my person assistants. Nothing makes you feel better than having every single person that works at the location check-in with you to make sure that you are finding what you need. Customer service makes me quite slap happy (no physical abuse was dished as a result of these visits). Want to make pasta sauce from scratch but don't want to boil and peel the tomatoes (take that Al Gore), come here and get (they have a variety to chose from) red sauce cans the size of your head. Imagine how big my eyes get! The have some really well-prepared products and the usual industrial restaurant low-quality foods. Why pay $5 at Trader Joes for 6 ounces of sundried tomatoes when you can get a pound of them here for the same price? Like feta? They have the real Greek variety in a massive pounder bag that is resealable (insert seal sound). Blueberries at Kroger are roughly $5/pint. Here, you can get 4 pints for about $7. They do have limited fresh veggies and fruit. They cut meat and cheese to order. You can get everything from breakfast foods to dinner, snacks to super pleasing in taste dessert foods. Also, basic cleaning supplies come in super sized portions which are great on the budget (less the back). Overall, GFS is a time and budget saver. Great for buying large and saving more. Although the typical "shaped meats" and prepared sides haunt the shelves, take the time and you'll find high quality products amongst the ghostly waist increasers. They even have tastings like Costco and Sams. Hahahhaha

Re Publix on Indian Lake, Hendersonville, Tn. A short while…read moreback, I had a bad experience here. I used to shop at, and love this store, because they had items I could not find elsewhere, and I found their products, though somewhat higher priced, were always excellent in quality, and their service superior. I no longer feel this way. Recently my daughter, on my 80th birthday, ordered and had delivered from your store a medium size $19 fresh flower arrangement plus some other items. These were delivered by a woman I assumed worked for your store. Sadly, the flowers were already wilting, and I had to throw them away the following day. I went by your store awhile later and told your service department what happened and asked if they would replace the flowers. She said I'd have to take that up with Instacart. I asked if I could speak with manager there. Told her I'd be happy with just one of their $4.00 bouquets. She went back. Came out, "He said No." Told her, we would never be back, and we have not.

With that being said, the wear can be seen. Service was solid, as you would expect. Store was clean, carts were available and shelves were stocked. Keep in mind Hendersonville is definitely suburbs, so they happen to close fairly early, even on the weekends. Overall, solid Publix location. No issues, would swing by when in the area.

Another rare five-star review but this place definitely deserved every star!…read more I learned about the little taco shop in the back from an Instagram post and convinced my husband that we needed to give it a try. First off, plenty of parking. Bonus. When you walk into the store, everything smells clean and fresh. The grocery section is well organized. The produce section is overflowing with fresh veggies that are well-priced. You can find most everything you are looking for at a grocery store. In the back of the store, they have a deli and a little taco shop. There are tables and chairs, so you can eat there or take your food to go. My husband got two Quesabirria Tacos and a side of rice and beans. I ordered three street-style tacos: Carnitas, Barbaco and Pescado, which was grilled. I also ordered a side of plantains. Throw in a bottle of water and the total bill was $31. There was so much food that I had to take the rice and beans, 2 tacos and my plantains home. I just could not eat any more! They have housemade salsa that they sell in pint containers. The Salsa Verde was so delicious that I have been putting it on all my food this past week. It's spicy but not overpowering. I'm going back just to get more of that salsa! Reading the comments from the Instragram post, people told the IG poster not to give away locals' secrets. This definitely is a hidden gem!

Located in Madison Square shopping plaza on Gallatin a few blocks from downtown Madison, Garden…read moreFresh Food Market is a small but mighty spot for all your Latin food needs whether it be packaged or fresh! From the outside, Garden Fresh looks like a big place, but once you walk in, you realize that it is a lot smaller than imagined. Even with a smaller space, they have this placed packed with all the goods from a small produce and veggie section, packaged meat, freezer, rice, dry goods, snacks, drinks, toiletries, etc...and of course they have a meat/seafood counter where you can get the freshest of proteins! I would like a bit more selection of pre-packaged/bulk meats on the shelves as the lines for the meat counter along with the line for the cocina can become overwhelming. While the store is packed with goods, this is a great thing, but also makes it hard to maneuver as the aisles and spaces are pretty small. A lot of "excuse me", "my bad" while shopping. Speaking of the cocina...in the back of the store you will find a small counter where they are slinging the freshest tacos, quesadillas, birria, nachos, tamales and more! While I may not pick up groceries on each visit, I do always make sure to pick up a taco or three to go! If you want to eat in, they do have a few tables as well. Service is always friendly and they are staffed well, notably for the busier times...which is more times than not, especially on the weekends! Condition of the store is decent. The shopping plaza is pretty unsavory, but once you get inside you are good and things turn around! Overall, great spot in Madison!
