This Publix anchors a small complex on Long Hollow Pike just beyond all the fast food spots, eateries and the adjacent Kroger. While I do majority of my shopping at the nearby Kroger, this Publix is always our go-to for those delectable pub subs! With that being said, I have shopped around the store when a sub is not the only thing I am after. The store is always well stocked, clean and staffed well. Conditionally, the store is showing its age in places, so a refresh would not hurt. Service is always stellar here from the registers to the deli counter and even the cart attendants! I usually get spoken to by majority of folks I encounter. Overall, this Publix location always treats us well and will remain our go-to in time of need! read more

I absolutely hate the pharmacy at this place and the worst way the White House Pharmacy is so much better when I talk to organization the pharmacist themselves are great. It's the pharmacist assistant or staff that he have no answers at all. I'm told everything too. It's a glitch in our system to get my cell phone carrier to do you have insurance you don't have insurance and we can't explain why your bill is now $75 higher than it was last month. Horrible job with of all things a graduation cake. Ran out of chocolate, replaced with marble. Ordered gold and royal blue for school colors, got clown yellow and teal. Message on cake looked like a 5 year old did it. We fed it to the ants. read more

Publix continues to grow throughout the southeast and that is good news for, well, the southeast. Publix started in Florida and quickly expanded with strong customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and their iconic subs, affectionately known as Pub Subs. I travel a lot for work and stop at Publix whenever one is nearby to pick up my evening hotel ice tea, snack, etc. This particular location is located in the back of a small strip mall and gives the expected Publix experience. read more

I love this store! Even when they are swamped with customers their employees have always been friendly and thoughtful in their service. One of your employees went above and beyond in helping me. I have to use a walker to get into your store, but I thought I could put my party platter order and chicken order on my walker to get it all out. I asked for my order and was told that my order did not have my chicken on it. Desmond the young man who waiting on me was just wonderful. He searched and found out there were two separate tickets. So my chicken was found. Then I found out my chicken was placed in seven different boxes instead of one big box like I had imagined it would be. Meaning I couldn't get my chicken and and platter on my walker. Desmond immediately went and got me a buggy to put my order in and because I couldn't push the buggy and my walker he assisted me to the check out and then helped me to my car and put my order in the car. The store was packed that day and the deli was bustling. I know Desmond was anxious about helping his fellow employees, but they all never showed any distress in his helping me. I just have to thank the whole Deli Department for supporting Desmond while he assisted me in a very stressful time for me. Thank you Desmond! Your kindness and thoughtfulness will always be remembered by this old lady that was such a pain for you. Thank you again! Horrible. I had a discrepancy with a purchase. I had to speak with customer service regarding the charge. Once I got to customer service the customer service rep. was absolutely rude and disrespectful. She was very abrasive and disregarded the issues at hand. I was yelled at and belittled! Tammy R told me (customer service rep) that her dad is 85 and she yells at him....so she always speaks loudly. I didn't hear her speaking loudly to customer before me. I was completely sure that did not want to speak with her anymore. I asked to speak to the manager because I respect my elders but this lady needs to be held accountable for her actions! I was disregarded by the manager as well. I won't be spending another penny in that store until black people are treat equally in this store. I love Publix! They are so good! There are always plenty of kind workers. They are always quick to help you find anything! Everything is stocked well and they very rarely our out of things. We are in Nashville from out of town and everyone was sooo friendly!! We had some pub subs and the people behind the counter we're so nice!!

My wife and I are driving to ATLANTA from Louisville when we decided to stop around this area for the night. We went to the Publix to get something to eat for the evening. We stopped at the deli counter and got a few things and the associate there was great. We than stopped in the produce section to get some fruit when the associate in that area accused us of STEALING!!! When I asked why he would say that he told us because we weren't using a buggy but were just putting the items in our reusable Publix bags. After a couple of minutes of explaining to him that I always use these like this and technically it's not stealing because I haven't left the STORE!!!! So after a lengthy conversation he started to understand and we continue shopping. So than at check out the cashier just dumps the contents of bags on the counter with no concerns. I asked why she did that and she explained it's easier for her. Wow, just wow!!! She also opened a sealed item by hitting on something on the counter and just casually said be careful with that one!! It's a great store, clean and the they have everything I need and want but some of the associates her are just not up to Publix stand read more

I am so angry. I am still in line at publix. They would not me check myself out. I was in that line and they made me go to another register. I've always liked this store, but I Really like this store now. We have family members with covid and didn't want to risk exposing anyone so we ordered online and had the items delivered. This young lady forgot two items and when I explained to the manager, Mark, He personally brought them out himself (within 20 minutes of me speaking with him). This type of customer service is not known anymore, I am so impressed with him and I've always liked this store - good, friendly people who seem to know exactly what they are doing! read more

This is how a grocery store should be. It's always clean and the staff is very friendly. I am actually impressed with the seafood section and with my diet the butcher is always willing to break down any package to make it where its easier for me to just have to open one package of food to cook instead of having to thaw more than I need. The family bathroom is a great asset when you have kids and for some reason it never fails my little girl always has to go when we get in any store! The Mgr is always open to special orders if you just let them know what you want and they will get it and put it on a special shelf for you. I also really like the way that they still carry your groceries out for you. I know my wife really appreciates it when she goes to the store with the kids and it's just nice to have tthe help of an extra set of hands to get everything out and in the car. This is the best grocery in Goodlettsville hands down. You might end up spending 10 bucks more on a 100 than you would at Kroger but seriously who wants to go to a store that's always dirty and doesn't keep enough cashiers to run the registers so there is always a long line. Trust me on this one and just drive past Kroger and go to Publix. You can thank me later. read more

LOVE LOVE PUBLIX! This store is so friendly and honest! I was rushing one day and asked for $100 cash back at the self checkout (which I never do). The money comes out in a hidden area at the self check out. I walked out and did not realize I had left the money until I was at the airport about to catch a flight. I called the store and the lady said, " I ran out and tried to catch you. I have put the money up and it will be held in the office until you come pick it up!" Now that's service!!! Publix is always willing to go the extra mile! At another location, the staff is always nice and ask about my kids when I am there alone! I have been a loyal customer and will continue to be! Publix is an amazing grocery store, and usually, known for their amazing customer service.. however on my recent trip there was an old man bagging named John who refused to wear his mask and made rude comments when i tried to politely and jokingly remind him to wear it. Good, clean grocery store. Friendlier than the Hendersonville store, and much less crowded. Customer service at or above Publix standards...baggers everywhere, offers to carry groceries to car, etc... Store is well laid out, has a decent seafood and meat section, and nice cheese selection. I do have some gripes. They have low stocking levels, with periodic outages of products I buy. It isn't consistent, but it happens, especially things like distilled water.mAnd, they restock during busy hours, getting in the customer's way. Also, they have only one brand of milk in smaller containers, and lactose-free milk is restricted to large cartons. Finally, I find the chicken is almost always at the sell-by date on the day I am there, giving precious little time to use it before it needs to be frozen or goes bad. And I find even with my fridge turned way down I rarely make it to the second day without chicken showing signs if spoilage, so really...you need to be using it the day if purchase or forget it. read more

Went in to Publix this morning there were no Boar Heads salad made so i went to the deli and asked an older gentleman if they were any. He asked the fellow behind him if any were made and he said he was in the process of making them. He had about twenty salads that he was assembling, instead of making me one so i could leave he continued rudely assembling all the salads. I waited about ten minutes then i left all the products i was planning on purchasing. I work across the street from Publix and go there at least 4 times weekly. I fell disregarded and disrespected. I will never step into the Publix in Goodlettsville as long i i live. I will go to Kroger's and little farther down the street.I have never experienced this at Publix and i will not accept this kind of treatment from anyone that i give the privilege of spending my hard earned money. Great service! I went to the bakery to pick up a last minute cake. I was asked over and over if I needed help while I was browsing. Was helped right away when I decided on something. At the deli/hot bar, at least three different employees asked if they could help me out and I was just looking at rotisserie chicken. It was pretty nice. I didn't see the entire store, but stopped by the gluten free section. The prices were more reasonable than I've seen at other places, although the selection wasn't amazing. Self-checkout was a breeze. No problems. Store very clean. Even saw an employee helping someone carry groceries to their car. Will definitely return. read more

I have always been a Publix customer but I am so frustrated with this Publix. I have requested several items and if they do get them in they are there for only a very short time and then they never have it again. When I asked about it they said they did not have adequate shelf space for the healthier versions. More than once I've been told that the items didn't sale and I expressed that I would've bought them several times if they had been in stock. Several times I've had to leave the store and go to Kroger, which I hate, to finish shopping. When I talk to them about it they just look at me as if I'm a horrible person. The guy that walked me out to my car wouldn't even talk to me! I live only a few blocks away but have gone to Hendersonville more than a few times. Some of my clients have told me that they are equally frustrated and said that it's been that way ever since the new manager came in. Not sure about that. I so wish they would get their act together! Love Publix - love their seafood section. It costs a little more than Kroger, but it's worth not walking out feeling stressed. The store is clean and the staff friendly. If I go to Publix they offer to help carry my bags to my car, even if I only have 1 light bag. If I go to Kroger I can walk out with 2 baskets of stuff and nobody offers to help at all. I live in Madison where anymore the groceries seem to forget there are still "good" areas in this neighborhood. So, they cater to the food stamp crowd. Lots of junk food and low quality items and "nicer" things and specialty items not available. So, those of us who want those things are forced to leave Madison to shop in order to get the things we want. I've found the Goodlettsville Publix to be the best reasonabley close choice for that shopping. Lots of great seafood choices, better selection of meats, great produce, can always find the ingredients for my recipes, etc. Store is always clean. My only complaint would be too many "greetings" from the employees. I really do not want to be asked how I'm doing by every single employee I pass by. By the third one, it starts to get annoying. The baggers can also be a little pushy too when I tell them I prefer to take my basket out and load my own car. Great to offer, but when the answer is "no" please accept the answer. But this Publix carries all the things the stores closer to my home are convinced I don't want and overall it's a pleasure to shop there. Wish Publix would put a store in closer to serve Madison / Inglewood / East Nashville. Believe me, there are customers in these areas who want it! read more
