Unfortunately, I didn't have a successful visit because of an issue I had using a Tillamook coupon. The coupon came directly from Tillamook via email, and I printed it in color. It was valid for one free Tillamook ice cream product (up to $8.99). When I tried to use it at the self checkout, it wouldn't scan. An employee came over to help and said he needed to check with customer service. When he returned, he told me they don't accept coupons "from that website." I explained that the coupon came directly from Tillamook, but he couldn't tell me why it wasn't accepted. At that point, the checkout lines were getting longer, and I didn't want to hold everyone up, so I just removed the ice cream from my order and completed the rest of my purchase. I've never had an issue redeeming manufacturer coupons before, so I was surprised by this experience. I'm wondering if it was because the coupon was for a free item. I went the Kroger on Thompson rd 2 weeks ago. While i was there i used the restroom. I was so filthy that it grossed me out. The faucets didn't work ,the floors and toilets were filthy dirty the toilet paper roll was out of the dispenser, there were no paper towels and the hand dryer didn't work. I told the lady at the front counter and she said that there maintenance guy quit and they didn't hire anyone yet. This morning I went there to grab a few things and guess what, the restroom hasn't been touch since first visit. It is totally disgusting. I can't believe how nasty it still is. This is a great Kroger store. The only issue is it's always very busy and sometimes you end up waiting for a long time at the registers. However, it has everything. It has a Murrays, Starbucks, a popcorn shop, pharmacy, mini clinic, clothing, and everything else you would find in a normal grocery store. They have a huge frozen section and a large meat section as well as a ton of fresh fruits and vegetables in the front. Prices are pretty good as is true at most Kroger's around here. Again, it is a very busy place, and if you need help, the workers are always very helpful and friendly and are glad to give you some assistance. I didn't need any today, but there were lots of them around. It seemed as if they were, working on project, maybe a reset or an organizational change. Not exactly sure, but the store has only been around for a few years and was built right across the street from the old one like most of them here in Indianapolis. This location is our go-to for quick runs for groceries. The improvement of the interior and how they rearranged the store it's amazing. Mostly the essentials we need we can get from here, they have a popcorn service now by the deli area and it's nice walking in there, and smells great. But, the service needs to be better, I understand self-checkout should have been fast and efficient, but every time you scan an item, and just put it down incorrectly by the bags or near it. It won't let you go on and it just causes more time than having someone ring you out. Instead of being quick and efficient, self-checkout seems to make it slower and complicated. read more

They have a pretty good selection of groceries, but there are a few items I purchase often that they stopped selling or don't sell that I have to buy at other stores. I also like the selection of clothing. It sounds weird to buy clothes at a Kroger but I find a lot of cute stuff. Love this Kroger location. Well stocked shelves, clean, lots of variety, space to move, friendly staff.... The parking lot is not crowded and easy to navigate and there's lots of room. How this averages 3 stars is beyond me. It should absolutely be more. For comparison, another (closer) Kroger has less than 25% of the selection of products/brands, is not clean, the parking lot is too small and absolutely terrifying and gets 2.5 average... Something is awry with this location being close in stars to that one. There is just no comparison. While I was shopping, my smile -which you couldn't see behind my mask- told it all... I bet I was smiling so big passers-by could see as my eyes were beaming with joy. Great cheese, produce and alcohol section are the first things I experienced walking through the store. Other things I noticed is that they have a larger than normal grocery store kitchen supplies section and a clothing department. Small complaint that the prescription drive through is not often open. I'm more likely to pair shopping with a prescription pick up so the indoor pharmacy is ok with me, but my husband will run for prescription only, which makes the drive thru a nice feature to have. Hopefully they can start to staff the drive thru regularly someday! read more

The carts all need repaired. There's also never any carts in the corral in the entrance, so be prepared to grab one on your way in from the parking lot. Lines are usually pretty long at the checkout, but only during busy times on the weekend. I actually prefer coming to this location over the one right by my house. I like the vastness of products, as the one near me doesn't have the kitchen items & countertop appliances selection. Good produce and meat selection and the staff is always helpful. Brandon is a nice & funny guy. We always look forward to seeing him while he bags our groceries at the checkout. read more

Don't come here if you want anything from the Deli. The older lady with the white hair and glasses moves like molasses. She allowed a very rude older gentlemen to cut in front of 4 people, allowed him to turn around and yell at my fussy toddler. Then when it was my turn she seriously took 30 minutes to get my order ready. I had three things, a pound of meat and a half pound of two different types of cheese. That should take maybe ten minutes at the most but THIRTY MINUTES?????!!! I was late getting to an appointment and my toddler was going crazy just sitting there. When she went to cut up the cheese she started having a conversation with her coworker and not even moving! Hello, it's called multitasking! Had I not said "Excuse me ma'm, I'm on a deadline" and pointed to my watch, she would still be slicing that cheese 3 days later. She needs to understand that this is a place to work, not social hour at Curves. Either learn to move faster and multi-task or go work in the floral department. Ruined my entire day. 90 percent of the time I can get what I need at this store, including specialty items such as St. Jude candles (as a part of my religious practice, I keep a large votive candle lit all day on Sunday). The specialty stuff I might use comes from Guanajuatos, ALDI or GFS. (I'm from Texas, and I do a lot of Tex-Mex and Mexican cooking.) Even during the first part of the COVID outbreak, I was able to get 80 to 90 percent of what I needed at this store. I have been consistently very happy with this store. It compares with the phenomenally good H-E-B stores in Texas (my home state). read more

Never ever have I seen a Kroger like this! We came here thinking it would be less crowded. Wrong!! Huge parking lot and it was full. They have a beautiful salad bar, Michu Ice Cream Bar, Fresh Made Pan Asian and you can sit and eat, a Starbucks, a wonderful display of fresh seafood, the produce department has many things you don't see elsewhere. Unlike many people, I love going to the grocery. I could live here! My husband is not a shopper so I didn't get to go up and down all the rows. You can bet I'll be back. read more

By far the BEST Kroger I've ever gone to and gotten gas at............. A new Kroger so it's tip top clean!! Large selection of produce, cheeses and anything you may want in your kitchen cabinets. Well lit with large isles and plenty of carts. Even the workers are cheerful. Large parking lot while easy to get in and out. In front is their gas station with plenty of pumps, while those are easy to get in and out as well. If your close to the South side of Indy this place is a 1 stop shop!!!! read more

As a current east side resident, I'm so grateful to have such a lively Kroger so close! They always have carts (including the ever sought after mini cart). The store is clean, the produce is fresh, there's plenty of organic options, and my favorite part is the fabulous cheese section! They have so many different cheeses available and they almost always have something for you to sample. Along with their fancy cheese section, they also have a pretty impressive beer and wine situation. They even have a mix-and-match six pack option which is always nice if you're in adventurous mood. The aisles are easy to navigate. And they usually have several different checkout lines open, which is something I always appreciate. This particular Kroger also has a clothing section along with a pretty extensive health and beauty selection. Though I have not personally checked it out, it seems to me that there are plenty people walking up and down the aisles. I love coming here, the parking lot is masses there's always plenty of parking. There's even a secret entrance off of Emerson. read more

I am visiting the area for the weekend and pop in for a few things This location is easy to access from many avenues. The associated are friendly, however I watched many that were not busy and standing around as people shopped. At this particular time there was an elderly woman approaching, well trying to approach the checkout lanes in a motorized cart that was badly in need of a recharge to its batteries.. It was quite obvious she was in need of assistance as this woman was using her foot to propel the dying vehicle. I was in the middle of my transaction in a lane being hurried along to swipe my card as I saw this poor woman in distress. No associate made any attempt to come to this womans aid. Unfortunately this is not the only public place where I have witnessed such utter disregard to help someone in need. Shame on those who are there with pretend smiles collecting a paycheck at the end of each week. As far as the stores' overall appearance and product choices? HORRIBLE The shelves had many holes where products should have been. Not just a few things. The store was out of so many things. I can see instance where the store has been shopped hard and restocking hasnt been done, or a few items on sale are now out of stock. But this was an abundance of items that were just out of stock. Me and my girlfriend were trying to get food for our baby at 10:50 and were told to leave by a female security guard because the store was "closed." The hours posted said 11:00pm. Then when we told her what we needed to get and that we'd be quick she persisted that we needed to go. We then called it quits and turned to leave when we seen her walk up and start joking about us on our way out. Pretty rude, unprofessional, and unnecessary. This was on March 1st, 2021 at 10:50pm. I actually particularly like this Kroger store, and I feel lucky to have it so close. They have a nice natural food section, which is pretty much the only area I visit, aside from produce. Though I can't quite get everything I want here, their organic produce selection keeps growing, which is nice. I can refill my 5-gallon bottle with filtered water at a reasonable rate. We did not get our groceries. They were supposed to arrive at 3:50 p.m. We live paycheck to paycheck and my husband is disabled. We were on the phone with customer service for over 3 hours. We not only don't have groceries but are now out almost $300 for ten days because instacart decided to cancel our order at 7 p.m. after we have been trying to find the status of our groceries for hours and been hung up on several times after hours of being on hold. We even got text messages that they were in route. We cannot wait for 10 days for our $300 to arrive in our account to get groceries. WE have no food. I even said I would wait until 9 or 10 p.m. to get another delivery driver BEFORE instacart cancelled the order. How can you take our money and leave us broke with no groceries for a week! This is the second time we have had issues with several hours late. But this is ridiculous! I will never use this service again! i want my groceries or my money tonight! Case No. 56416814. This Kroger sucks. They never have product. I just waited in line for 30 minutes along with 12 other people due to only having one cashier. When asked about it I was told "we have self scan." The little Asian restaurant inside of this Kroger is amazing! We love the chicken teriyaki bowls with steamed veggies, with or without the teriyaki sauce. Incredibly delicious and flavorful chicken- It makes a perfect go-to healthy meal on the go! Their staff is super friendly, too! read more

If I could give this location 0 stars I would. Their pharmacy is awful. You call in ahead to have prescription filled and you get there when they say it's going to be ready and they still don't have it. Then you set up for automatic refill and they try to tell you to come back tomorrow when you show up on your pick up date. Their entire staff is rude. They love to close early... I get everybody wants to get home but face it. You signed up for a job and you are paid to keep the doors unlocked until the time it says on the door. People depend on you so they can feed their families. Not so you can close the store early. And when you decide to let someone in when you're the one trying to close the store early. Please don't be childish and slam the door behind them when you know you were in the wrong. I will be calling management. I do not appreciate the in professionalism of this location. This is the closest Kroger to where I live and is convenient to stop by here after working out at the gym to stock up on "healthy foods", heehee. There is also the giant recycle bins in the parking lot which is helpful for me since there is no curbside pick up where I live. I agree with previous reviews that the produce department could use an expansion and face lift. But overall a clean store with happy employees and visible managers. read more

This place may just be getting a third star from me since it's just a little better than its counterpart next door (Marsh). The place is generally clean and the customer service is ok. The big ding here are the prices and having to belong to their "club" in order to save any money. Just give people discounts and they will come back. penalize them for forgetting their "club card" and they will soon forget to visit your store as well. read more

One star for Express Turkey dinner and how Kroger has not been remotely satisfactory in addressing the issue, specifically the store manager. Recent message posted on Kroger complaint site following up on issue addressed 11/24/16- "On November 24, 2016. I contacted Kroger regarding my extreme dissatisfaction with the "Express" Turkey Dinner ordered for Thanksgiving (it was completely frozen with ice crystals....not "express" by any stretch!). My comment was not responded to until 12/2/16. At that time, the representative, Maura, advised that the store manager would contact me regarding my issue. I followed up with Maura on December 9, 2016 advising I had not been contacted by the store manager (Kroger Marketplace located at 5350 E. Thompson Rd, Indpls, IN 46237).
