Looses a star today. Think you are officially understaffed and asking too much from your employees. Good food. Friendly staff. Just don't expect the same with flowers. I pre-ordered 2 sets but didn't get what I asked for. When I said I would take one of them, I got charged double of what was handwritten on the ticket and previously agreed upon. Ended up costing me as much as a stand alone florist, and I still have to be the one to deliver. Since you couldn't eat the cost of the flowers, use my money to properly staff.

It's very unorganized. Not enough checkers. Employees are not helpful. Smaller stores have more selection. I'm done.

All of my favorite brands gone. Overtaken by subpar Kroger brands. I'm done. I have shopped at Kroger's for 20 years but no more.

I did find the prices high, if not unexpectedly so in most cases. I did find strange variation in sale items; some were substantial discounts, while in another case I saw a roughly $8 item "on sale" for twenty cents off, which seems bordering on a sort of unethical deception. The selection of produce was not huge but looked nice; this being Knoxville they had more meat than plants it seemed. Various natural and organic brands popped up. I always try to support the local businesses and I got a few things. This does seem to have a co-op structure so locals who really want to be in regularly might consider buying in.

Huge fan of this Happy Holler staple. Has such a wide variety of vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free,…read moredairy-free, and straight from the local farm/vendor goods. The best part, the price is pretty competitive with grocery stores in the area. There is a hot/cold bar to grab lunch and sit in the indoor dining area or outside on their shaded patio. They also have a huge variety of grab-and-go pastas, wraps, salads, and sandwiches and a coffee bar with all the fixin's. The above is all awesome, but I head in here for the bulk items. Have a small amount of a rarely-used spice needed for a recipe? CHECK. Want to grind some fresh almond butter or coffee? GOTCHA COVERED. Dried fruits? YUP! (dried papaya are my family fave). Variety of healthy granolas, grains, and baking items in bulk, too. There is easy parking with their own little lot, friendly service, a discount membership program ($25 per year), and a punch card discount when you use reusable bags. Can't wait to come back.

Teriyaki bowl was fresh, hot, and good! Probably the best I have had at a Whole Foods in quite some time. Parking was ample at this location and boy did they need it when I visited. The lot was packed and it was wall to wall people inside at this location. Everything looked full and fresh and well presented throughout. It was nice to visit this location. Pushy people at the check out line acting like I was in there way - even though my transaction was not completed yet and I was trying to get my bags. And the in a rush young people fulfilling Amazon Orders for Prime or trying to stock the shelves - I can't tell you how many times I have been treated as is I was an impediment to what they are trying to do even though I am a paying customer trying to navigate my way through the store. it gets to me sometimes. There are too many people trying to shop in this store for the size of it. Too many people "In a Rush" to get on with their lives. I do feel like I am back up in the North East sometimes when I go there. The best times to shop are during Tennessee Game Days or on a Tuesday night of all things. I go there because they do have things that other markets in the area do not have - fruits, vegetables, organic products. I do like the fish market guys. I do like certain cashiers and try to always go to them. I do like being able to find certain products there that I cannot find anywhere else - . I do like their supplements. There are things I do like. But the whole Prime thing (order fufillment) has put a huge black mark by the shopping experience. They really need to train their restocking people to be mindful of the customers and to be a little nicer while they do it. But between trying not to get run over in the parking lot when I am trying to get into the store and not getting run over while I am in the store by the oh so many busy people in there, it has gotten to where my stress levels goes straight up when I shop there. What I will do is try to go during off hours, and I do try to do that. But this is a pattern. My opinion is that for the amount of customers they have and the amount of order fufilment they do - the store probably needs to be twice as big as it is. I gave them three stars - but like I said - it is always a stressful experience for me.

And being an Army brat (and Army veteran) helps. And I love the Sunrise Supermarket - I've shopped there every week or two since they opened. I buy a lot of fish at the fish counter, and never had a bad experience with their fish (of course, I know how to buy fish, and occasionally I need to speak a little Spanish, which I can). The produce section is wonderful. I wish I knew how to cook a tenth of what they sell in that store! In contrast to what several reviewers have said, I've never experienced or observed any discourtesy to anyone. Sure, there are occasional difficulties in communication, with so many nationalities represented, but that's part of the fun of it. I fairly often want a Chinese item that doesn't have a satisfactory English name, so I find the Chinese characters on the Web and print them out, and find somebody in the store who can read Chinese, and promptly am led to what I want. (I just discovered sha cha sauce that way.) Checking my shopping list now - sesame oil, some fresh squid to stir-fry and a pompano to steam, some frozen Chinese dumplings, a bottle of nước mắm, a bag of bean sprouts, a Mexican squash. And by now the 2026 Chinese calendars should be in.
