Since my wife and I shop here on a regular basis and I get most of my gas here a review seems appropriate. Breaking down grocery store shopping we are at Kroger 70% of the time and the rest of the shopping between Publix, Target, Food City, Walmart, Ingles and Costco. Better discounts and targeted coupons than most stores and in general less expensive. If you want cheaper gas buy the food and gift cards at Kroger. The gift cards routinely are for every dollar spent two dollars in gift card points. When they run specials it's 4-1 for gift cards. I am on average getting 50 cents to a dollar off gas at every fill. Service has always been good and I like the ambience of the store. The staff does a good job of getting expired food items off the shelf. read more

Looses a star today. Think you are officially understaffed and asking too much from your employees. Good food. Friendly staff. Just don't expect the same with flowers. I pre-ordered 2 sets but didn't get what I asked for. When I said I would take one of them, I got charged double of what was handwritten on the ticket and previously agreed upon. Ended up costing me as much as a stand alone florist, and I still have to be the one to deliver. Since you couldn't eat the cost of the flowers, use my money to properly staff. read more

I'm from out of town, so I'm not a regular shopper here. The store is massive, the aisles super wide, cleared and clean. The cons...there wasn't a single green pepper to be found - as a first time visitor it's difficult to figure out how the store is organized (what is where!); and the couple of lines that were open were hardly enough for the fourth of July weekend crowds. This Krogers is the absolute cleanest, best, friendliest place to shop. The bakery out does themselves everytime I come in here. Fantastic job!! This store makes me want to pull my hair out. It so frustrating to walk around and around looking for something simple like salt, or sugar. I was in the store today to pick up about 10 basic items and it took me 30 minutes. I kept crossing paths with the same people wandering around on what felt like a scavenger hunt. And when you do finally find what you are seeking it's only available in the Kroger brand. That's anther reason I'm buying more basic items I want on Amazon. read more

This Kroger is your place to shop if you like one place to shop for everything store. They've gone to more and more Kroger brand items and Kroger Coupons rather than have brand names. Some of the Kroger brands are OK but many are far inferior. It seems we will have to do more more of our shopping elsewhere. Very good place! There is a lot for sale at this Kroger; not just food. There is Jewelry, linens, flowers, and much more. They also have self-serve and hot meals to take with you at a great price. $5.99 got my husband a large meatloaf dinner with Mashed Potatoes, Corn, and bread. I got the salad bar for $5.99 / lb. and with salad and fruit, it was around $6.50. I saved the berries for my breakfast. The service department was great. They were helpful and friendly. Checkout was quick and the lines were not long at all. I enjoyed the way Kroger is expanding beyond just a supermarket. read more

Joyce in the pharmacy has single handedly put me off from ever visiting this store again. She is rude. she ignores customers at the window she overcharges tenncare patients when she shouldn't be charging them at all. she charges people's insurance for medications that they don't even pick up. The vegan selection at this Kroger is excellent. The have quite a variety of quorn products. Prices match those of publix. I love that they have a little bit of everything in the store including things for the house and clothing. The reason why I did not give this location five stars is the produce section had quite a few items with mold on them and when I alerted the staff to that they didn't seem too concerned. I would definitely shop here for everything but fruits and vegetables. read more

So we just moved here from the land of Wegmans and I've been in search of a new default grocery store. I'd never been to a Kroger before, and I'll admit that when I walked in and saw clothing and shoes, I thought I was in the wrong place- Kroger is supposed to be a grocery store, right? As I found out, it's a grocery store, a deli, a clothing and shoe store, a bar, a wine store, and so much more. I haven't ventured into the "beyond" section so far, and have simply stuck with the food options- because buying milk, eggs, and a new shirt from the same place feels a little weird. I continuously enjoy Ava Grace Vineyards Chardonnay. It is my choice of green grape wine. Although I enjoy the white peach, apple, and lemon decadent blend, I was quite taken with the apple aspect. It gave me hints of sour apple bootlegger. 4/5 because your wine is tasteful, but your red vest employees are sus as hell. :) read more

UNCHARISTIC...(I hope): This was the experience I had this morning at the Farragut (TN) store. After a brief shopping visit, I proceeded to the checkout. It was 9:00 AM, Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018. The cashier and bagger were about their designated tasks. Mostly. The cashier said nothing to me when he began scanning...said nothing to me when I held up my Kroger card for him to scan...said nothing but the amount due in a barely audible voice. As the bagger was finishing her job another employee came to the counter area and a conversation ensued with him, the cashier and bagger. I was ignored...and once the conversation began with the newly arrived employee and cashier, my last hope for not being ignored was dashed when the bagger slowed down on her job and focused on the conversation between the other two. I began to put a few items I purchased in the cart on my own. That had no effect on the three. None whatsoever. After a token "thank you, have a nice day" by the bagger (only) and that not by eye contact, I pushed my cart toward the exit. Basically, the three Kroger employees had more interest in their private conversation about the number of shopping carts left in the parking lot than about assuring me, the paying customer, if I found everything; or even offering a sincere thank you. This doesn't normally happen at the Farragut store. But it did this morning. I'm more irritated than determined not to go back to that store. Irritation I can get over...eventually. I don't even know if the management level folks at the Farragut store will even see this. I hope they do. But I won't count on it. read more

I was a cashier at this location and when I left 4 weeks ago they haven't paid me the last check and it's been 4 weeks already I called them and I talked with Debbie and she gave me the corporate office telephone and I called them opened up a ticket that was a week ago and I haven't received my money. Kroger at Brooklawn is a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It is close by, they have nice people, (to me), and fair prices. On the flip side, they are not the cleanest store around. They advertise a Friday-Saturday deal and then don't have the product!! Figure that one out. And, at times their stocking is less than desired, meaning the shelf's empty. It takes a few visits to figure out the layout, its oddly confusing. Besides that it's an amazing grocery store. it's got everything, even clothes and (drum roll please....) A BEER BAR! You guys should have a cream cheese bar by your bagel station. I was extremely disappointed to find that the slicer next to the bagel station was for bread slicing only. I was unable to slice my bagel therefor unable to spread the cream cheese I would have wanted on my bagel, if you would have provided it. I will say that the bakery staff was rather pleasant this morning. They seem genuinely upset about the same things I was frustrated about. read more

Personally I loved this store the employees were so helpful and kind I honestly didn't want to leave they keep the store so nice and clean there is a little clinic, wine, food and really fresh produce I just want to set up camp in the parking lot and stay there!!! I am a Florida raised girl, so moving here without a Public X amount of years ago was a bit devastating. Overtime though, I grew to appreciate Kroger, and all it embodied- and wouldn't you know- once Publix DID get here, and I visited it, I came running back to Kroger?? The Farragut location has the best sushi BY. FAR. and for prepackaged sushi out of a grocery store chain, it's pretty darn good. I may or may not consume it in the car. at a red light. with the music turned up. and after a day of littles being "little", it's pretty great. I seriously wish they would have re-thought the clothing option and kept the furniture, because they had really great deals, quality merchandise, and a vast selection. Now, they have "Bobs" instead of "Toms", sketcher wannabes, and "Fila" aka 1980 shoe attire. Buying clothes from a grocery store just doesn't add up in my head (but buying furniture does? I know.) so I can only give this place a 4 out of 5. Constant rearranging and the new addition of furniture are a hassle and a waste in my opinion... read more

I was a loyal Kroger customer for years. The store is clean and has some nice areas. The floral area is great. The problem is that once Knoxville started getting more grocery stores, this Kroger has gotten worse. The brands I liked are no longer available. The employees (for the most) are not helpful when you ask a question. Maybe they should go back to being a grocery story and not a semi Walmart. It seems every time I go in there I spend too much time and don't find what I need. I tried online but there are some things I like to choose for myself. I honestly cannot say enough about this place.... I mean I just love Kroger and everything about it. Great food, great price, great looking women. I can never doubt a trip to Kroger because when I go in there to buy my daily cucumber, banana, and protein shake, it never fails me to have such an amazing experience. Even with all the damn commotion that comes with going there, it's a very busy place, and the one thing I love is how genuine the employees are during stressful times. I once had one employee look me dead In the eyes and say "sir I don't mean to be rude, but by gosh you're the absolute weirdest customer we have". To that I replied "eat my ass jerry". Kroger is a great store to shop in. Unless you are there at odd hours... The past three times I have gone to Kroger I have seen the same person dealing drugs and smoking pot in their car. I don't know who to contact about this, but I cannot believe Kroger would hire someone that is bringing drugs into our beautiful community. The owner of the car has blonde hair and drives a green mustang with racing stripes. Again, this is not the first time I have witnessed a transaction with him and another person in their cars, and whoever the worker is needs to be terminated or I will have to contact the manager/owner personally about the issue. read more
