I have been shopping at this Kroger for a long time and have never had an issue bringing my personal scooter inside the store.. I push it, I don't ride it. Today, an employee who was stocking cupcakes near the front entrance stopped me with a very rude attitude and told me I could not bring my scooter in. When I tried to explain myself, she sarcastically remarked "that's what the bike rack is for" as if I were a child who needed to be put in my place. I have never in my life been spoken to that way by a stranger, let alone a store employee. I was not riding my scooter through the store. I use it to get around and always push it while I shop. I have never been told this was a problem at any other location. I also looked into it and there is no Kroger policy that prohibits customers from bringing a scooter inside.. so she had no business making up her own rules and enforcing them on customers in such a condescending way. And if this woman was a manager, that is even more disappointing. Someone in a leadership role should know better than to speak to customers that way. It sets a terrible example and reflects poorly on the entire store. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this location. Kroger should train their employees and especially their managers. to treat customers with basic respect before confronting them over something that isn't even against store policy. read more

I stopped to get gas. Filled my tank up and had to see the cashier for my receipt. When I went up to the window I asked if I could ask a question. The young lady went off on me because she is over work and she's tired of people asking her questions. I told her I didn't need her going off on me for a yes or no question. I bite my tongue and choose not to go off on her. Maybe Kroger should make better choices putting some employees dealing directly with people. read more

This is a great Kroger. It's not a Super Kroger, with clothes and more home items, but it still is quite large and has more options than most Kroger's. I've never had issues here before. In fact, I have had amazing wonderful experiences. A month or so ago, the folks working the night shift went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me with an issue. They were absolutely brilliant and greatly decreased the stress I was experiencing. My only "boo" is the attached gas station closes so early. I think it's supposed to close at 11pm but it was closed by 10:50pm one weekend night. read more

It used to be having a Kroger' Valued Customer card was enough to get a bargain price on some items. Now the modern version of the Bait and Switch scam is in use with their digital coupon hurdle. Save yourself some aggravation and drive up the street to Meijer's for the sales prices without the hassle. I will direct more of my shopping away from Kroger's from now on. Dave N. read more

I couldn't be more irritated or disappointed with this place. It's pretty simple. I'll start less frustrating to MOST frustrating. - There are no employees on the floor to help. Don't know where it is? Can't find something? Pound sand. -Everything is outrageously priced. I buy Ben and Jerry's 2-5 times a month, at Walmart. It's 4.57. Here? 7.99! You'll see this pattern throughout the store. - There bathroom was disgusting. Clearly someone vomitted, and no one had cleaned it up. I'd have told someone, if I saw someone at any point in shopping. Their wine sampler was present, but had no interest. -HERES THE KICKER. While waiting in line at the self checks (they had three registers open on a Saturday. Really?!), I chatted with my S/O and her sister in law. So a self check opened, since, you know, paying 150% of any other stores price doesn't qualify for a human to ring me out, and the woman standing there stops me and says "who do you think you are? You aren't checking out before these two women!" Lady, what the heck did you just say to me? My goodness, what a total crap show. I guess when there's no local competition, one can run a business without any regard for customers without consequence. And of course, pictures included of my LOVELY experience. read more

So hard to find organic/alternative dietary foods around Toledo, but this Kroger's has an unexpectedly large selection of it! Frozen, dairy, non-dairy, dry goods, bulk goods, you name it! Incredible selection for a traditional grocery store. Good prices, well-stocked and great variety of products. Totally saves the day when we are in town! This store is huge, they have absolutely everything you could want. The staff is friendly and helpful, everything is clean and organized. Very thankful for this particular location. read more

Went to get my injectable marinade and the front jars expired October6,21 every jar expired the ones farther back expired in May!!! Disgusting! Then I forgot to check the expiration date on my Silk milk got home went to have some and #%^* if it was not EXPIRED too! This is ridiculous either stock your shelves with less or keep it Fresh like they claim. read more

I love this kroger! The employees are super nice & helpful! The customer service desk is always fast & polite. The cashiers are super friendly & appear to actually like their jobs. It's very clean & the store is big & well stocked. The deli workers always slice your meat & ask you if the cut looks good & offers a free sample of your purchase. They always seem well stocked for big sales. Best kroger in Toledo/Sylvania area hands down. The previous reviews seem to talk about the Starbucks inside of this location I personally have never had an issue there with the staff or my drinks. I drive a little further just to go to what I call "the fancy kroger." read more

This is the worst Kroger on Earth! They take my money for a $100 money order...it gets lost in the mail...and I'm out of luck! They say it's store policy to not stop payment or refund money orders! What a total rip off!! The customer service people were RUDE and not helpful at all. I will NEVER step foot in the Kroger at Sylvania Ave. and King Rd. again! THANKS FOR NOTHING KROGER! read more

Seems the check out bill goes up every week, with Whole Foods coming to town and Kroger prices this high, I just may make my weekly shopping at Whole foods. Produce and meats do not match the quality of Fresh Market or The Andersons market across the street, so I still need to make two trips. read more

I live close to this Kroger, and I feel the earlier rating for it is unfair because it makes the store look horrible, when the person rating was only talking about the in store Starbucks. The actual store is great, with a sensible layout and good employees in every area. I would highly recommend this location for groceries. read more

I work very close to this kroger and am a regular customer to their starbucks. After this morning I feel like I never want to go back. I ordered just a plain iced coffee. I paid and walked to the other side to get it. When the lady handed it to me it was a warm coffee. Usually I don't care about little mistakes like that and just take it anyway but today I kind of just wanted the iced and didn't mind paying the price difference. When I walked back over to the register she was charging me a full price of ANOTHER coffee when I just wanted to pay the price difference. She said she "couldn't" just let me pay the nickel difference, she "couldn't" just give me my money back and "couldn't" pour the coffee over some ice and call it a day. She was telling me I had to go over to some "front office" to return my coffee and come all the way back to get another coffee and she could not just let me pay the nickel price difference. (i had a client waiting for me back where I work and didn't have time for all the hassle for something that could really be handled very simply). When I asked to speak to the manager she replied with "umm I am the manager and I'm saying that's what you have to do" and refused to get anyone higher up that I could talk to. There was then a huge line of people behind me waiting and I eventually just had to walk out without a coffee and without my 2 dollars and 60 cents. I eventually called and the manager I talked to didn't seem to care about what happened but has my money waiting for me. Like I said, my work is very close by to the kroger and my co workers and I frequent that starbucks quite often. Every single one of us have had bad experiences with this worker. Her name is Sarah. She's lazy, rude and does not know how to act in customer service. On another occasion, one of my managers went to order a coffee. She was standing at the register, he ordered and she said "well I'm on break..." and never gave him his coffee. I can't believe someone who is that disrespectful and rude to customers so frequently is even employed at a kroger. read more

Kroger is reliable, but since their remodel of this store, I've been very frustrated. You would think they would improve their selection of groceries, right? I LOVE the produce side of the store now. The produce is beautifully presented, but they were missing a few of the more exotic things I use (endive and flat leaf parsley). The seafood area is decent, and the rest of the fresh and pantry food is what you would expect-basic. They must have 200 different yogurts though! Anyway, the part that is frustrating is that it is such a big store now that they brought in TOYS and put them right in front (by the self-checkouts!) Now, if I'm a user of self checkout, wouldn't it be nice to have the snacks, bread, freezer, or whatever is highest selling for everyone else in the world right there? They have the above mentioned spread all over the place in a very non-intuitive way. It drives me crazy-to the point that I even wrote THEM about it. Let's admit it, grocery shopping is not exciting, so lets just get it done! Not walk through toys and liquor/beer/wine in order to get the frozen waffles before we check out! read more
