    Pizza Mac & Cheese
    Shan D.

Ok.... if you try ONE food in your life... you must try the Mac and Cheese Pizza!!! I know...i know... ringing up at almost $9 a pie seems unreasonable... but its more than just another pizza pie! It's a crazy experience of the best thinnest crust, meets the cheesiest mac and cheese, meets a melded taste that is comparable to none!!! Honestly one or two squares will fill you up! If i might add the mild brick cheese is pretty serious too, and should be sampled or brought home!!! Don't leave without some curds or string cheese.

I was lucky to get this pic and get inside before the skies opened up!

Absolute best cheese curds served fresh. They have a window where you can look into the "factory" and watch the process.

My husband and I shared: - Loaded Cheese Curds - French Onion Melt - Hot Honey Chicken Mac And Cheese - Strawberry Basil Lemonade Everything was fantastic. The cheese curds were the best we had while in Wisconsin. The flavor of the French Onion melt was so good. I loved the hot honey addition to the mac and cheese. We bought a ton of their cheese too and it was fantastic. They have so many other great goodies too. If I lived nearby, I would be here all the time. This is a must stop in Door County!

They had a wide range of cheeses and oils out for sampling, and the staff was friendly and walked us through the different varieties. One of them had us try a cheese dip with ghost peppers, which was hands down our favorite, creamy up front with a slow burn that built after. We picked up some cheddar, a tub of that dip, and a few beers for the road. We also grabbed food from the in-store café: a grilled French onion sandwich, tomato basil soup, and cheese curds. The sandwich and soup were the standouts. The curds were fresh and squeaky. We finished with their ice cream, which held up to everything else we'd eaten. The prices were low enough that the whole stop felt like a steal. A must-visit when you're in Sturgeon Bay.

It was started by the Klessig and Heimerl families, who brought in Neville McNaughton, Pat Knowles and Dan Strongin as consultants. Not only do I love cheese, but I grew up in Cleveland and went to grade school with the Klessigs, so I was very interested and excited to try their cheese. After 15 years of planning, the first milk was delivered and a vat of cheese was made on August 24, 2007. I had some of the cheese during the winter holiday -- and they are now ramping up for national distribution. Look for their cheese at Whole Foods in the DC area in July -- and they will be rolling out nationally in the coming 6 months. They have 3 core cheeses -- Green Fields, Big Eds and Saxony. I have only tasted the prototypes, they were all delicious and are worth seeking out. You can contact the creamery at their website to get additional information about where to purchase their cheese. Green Fields A semi-soft cheese that is carefully tended then wrapped in a special breathable paper to protect Green Field's sophisticated flavor during the journey from our creamery to you. Made from whole raw cow's milk, and unpressed cooked curds, with a washed rind ripened a minimum of 60 days -- at its peak at four months with a shelf life of six months. Big Eds Young, mild, but full of flavor, with a buttery body. Enthusiastic, like Ed Klessig, whom it was named after, it hugs you back, never offends, and is great both for first time tasters and afficionados. A "clean rind" cheese made from raw cow's milk formed into cooked, pressed curds and ripened 120 days, with a shelf life of six months -- clean rind cheeses are meticulously wiped to keep them clean, cultivating a nearly perfect rind. Saxony A sophisticated cheese with a nutty flavor and a supple-body, as comfortable in the kitchen as it is on the table. Cooked pressed curds from whole raw cow's milk with a light, dry, washed rind ripened a minimum of 90 days, peaking at 150, with a shelf life of 9 months.

And the ring bologna I had to throw out because of the same reason. Also I think retailers or maybe the wholesalers that they advertise for MORE of -must be freezing the products for TOO LONG. The weiners USED TO BE very good, even right out of the package, cold. This crap product line seems to coincide with the new ownership. My advice is to stay small and observe the old ways, you just lost one customer FOREVER and I'm sure more will follow. I just wasted my hard earned money on this gag meat.

They are undoubtedly the best wieners I have had. We finally stopped in. You can smell the smoker going from the parking lot. There is absolutely nothing fancy about the store. 2 chest freezers and a meat counter. The attendant obviously works in the back making sausages and comes out to the store when a customer comes in. There are several varieties of bratwurst, ring bologna, beef sticks and other sausages.. There are pork chops, bacon and ham. I bought more wieners, summer sausage which is very good, and some bacon I will try tomorrow morning. The prices are higher than you might find on name brands or at big chain stores, but the quality is superior. I will continue to get sausages at Salmon's when we pass through Luxemburg going to Green Bay.

We learned that we missed Monday visiting the farm and would have to wait until Thursday as you are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday and we check out on Friday. Thursday morning we went to your store and bought 2 Ribeye steaks to cook on the grill for dinner while we packed and got ready to depart on Friday. We were really excited to try them after seeing your business advertised all over the county. Unfortunately our excitement turned to disappointment. Our steaks were not of the quality we were expecting. They were tough and somewhat dry. The sweet potato was very good but that was not enough to justify the $55 we spent on 2 steaks and a sweet potato. My husband also ran back in and grabbed a $12.95 rub for the steaks. I wanted to contact you instead of leaving a bad review on social media. Look forward to hearing back from you. My telephone # is (810)875-1430. Thank you in advance.
