Unfortunately I never got to the massage, since the office gave me the runaround. I called in to schedule a 30 min Swedish massage and was told that the first available appointment was at 11am. I confirmed that 11am was a good time for me and gave all of my info to the receptionist, confirming again that my appointment was at 11am. Not ten minutes after I got off the phone did I get a call back from the office, saying that the massage therapist had a conflict and would I be able to reschedule my massage to 2pm? A little irked since my day was now thrown out of whack, I agreed, figuring that at least I'd get a little relief from my terrible back pain. Again I confirmed that the new time was 2pm. Just 5 minutes ago I received another phone call from said office telling me that now the therapist would not be able to come in at all and I'd need to reschedule my appointment for another day. That was enough for me. I even asked if they had someone else available and said that this was the only therapist scheduled...Well what, are you closing your whole business for the day then? Unfortunately they have lost my business for good now. I was hoping to establish a relationship with that office due to the good reviews here and the convenience of the location. If you can't keep your story strait and you want to give me the run around, you aren't getting a second chance. If this office truly only has one therapist a day, the receptionists should make sure that they know that one person's schedule to the letter to better facilitate clients. In the end all I get is a negative yelp review to write and a bottle of ibuprofen to try and settle this back pain.

I've had a bad back most of my adult life, but never sciatica. I was completely miserable. I couldn't sleep and was in constant distress. I went to Dr. Wu and felt great after each visit, but the Sciatica returned. Dr. Wu warned me that it would take multiple visits. After the 4th visit, I was completely cured. A few weeks later, I developed a different back pain and also had groin pain on one side. This wasn't just "oh, I'm sore" pain - it was pain and discomfort that was interfering with my life - it was so bad I had trouble driving. I returned to Dr. Wu and he "killed" me. When I walked out I was still miserable and I had no idea what I was going to do. But when I woke up the next morning, I was completely cured and I've been absolutely fine ever since. My insurance would not cover the visits, but it's priced very reasonably. I've deducted one star only because one has to walk a large flight of stairs and because the office is a bit shabby, but maybe if the office was nice, it would cost 2-3x the price. If I had major surgery and got the same result, I would have been very happy. But Dr. Wu accomplished the same thing for pennies in comparison, with just acupuncture and intense massage. The acupuncturist was very patient with me in the consultation (only $20) and the acupuncture treatment was very thorough (though not necssarily relaxing after all there are needles going into your body). He also did this other things on my spine which involved activating my vertebrae/loosening them up. I also received a tui na massage which was very very helpful. The doctor went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and to recommend me other additional ways to help change what I was experiencing (yoga and tai qi/qi gong) as well as other thoughtful advice.
