Place is byob, and the fee for liquor is $5 per person, but once you pay the fee you can have an unlimited amount of any type of liquor, so make sure to bring enough. This place is trash. The first time I visited over 3 years ago, we had a blast and I would really recommend. After the pandemic this place has completely gone downhill. We were sold tickets online and when we went to the venue, NO ONE WAS THERE! They don't come to work. I waited around for about 45 minutes with my child and her friend in tow, thinking someone might show up to work, but no one came. The owner eventually called me because he checked his cameras and realized his employees didn't show up for work, and then he refunded my money. This is the second bad experience I've had here. Last year when they opened up but we needed proof of vaccinations. My 9 year old had her vaccination card, but she doesn't have ID because she's a 9 year old. The employee insisted that she should have an ID and wouldn't let us play. I'm done giving this place chances. I would have been a loyal customer based on my first experience but they just kept dropping the ball. 0/10 stars read more

The whole experience was disappointing. Headset didn't work initially, then wasn't working consistently, before it stopped working altogether. Choosing the games from the screen wasn't easy for the kids, they spent so much time just trying to select game and then many of the games never did end up working. Eventually we were moved from our private room to public area to play. When we tried to explain the issues we had to the staff member, he seemed to be implying our group did something to the headset that loosened a wire. When we first came we were told that there was a camera in the room, so if he had reviewed our session it would show no one was doing anything other than playing appropriately. We were given more time to play on the headset that did work, but it was no longer enjoyable by that point so we just tried to get our monies worth time wise. Would not go back. read more

This place was amazing. I was looking for somewhere to have fun because I'm currently pregnant and everything seems out of reach! I saw this on Chicago bucketlist on IG and thought that's something I could enjoy! Everything was easy breezy from beginning to end. I reserved 3 private rooms for 2 hrs. $65/hr for each room. This totaled $390. There was a 25% non refundable deposit. So I had to put $97.5 down. The rest of the money was deducted from my card once I arrived. However they have options to take separate payments if need be. The 3 rooms covered 18 ppl. It was the perfect amount of space. Tracy was super helpful. She booked my trip and answered all my questions each time I called for clarification. She explained how the controllers worked very well (as we were all new to vr gaming). And she recommended games that were appropriate for our skill set. I had 2 pizzas delivered from home run inn and there was a table set up for us. I would suggest bringing in plates if you bring in food. They sold sodas there... which were $1.50/ can pop. That's a little steep. However Tracy gave me a free pop as it was my birthday!!! She makes this place such a warm, welcoming, and exciting environment. The VR experience was out-of-this-world amazing. You will climb Mt. Everest. You will jet pack through a skyline with a fireman hose. You will repair a space station. You will shoot hillbilly zombies. You will ride the scariest rollercoaster of your life. You will LOVE THIS PLACE! We went here for my 28th birthday after going horseback riding in the countryside earlier that day. The VR was more intense than riding a live horse. This was my first time to a VR place as well as my family's so we didn't know what to expect but once we arrived we were greeted by a sweet and friendly woman named Tracy she was not only informative but provided great customer service. Tracy showed us how VR worked and setup the rooms for us which was great. I booked two private rooms and she was multi tasking between my party and others that were there so I commend her on that. In short: don't hesitate, just go. I had been wanting to check out Krypton for a while, as I love VR but have relied on borrowing headsets since the beta of Oculus. The prices are very reasonable, the atmosphere is superior to other VR lounges (hip, dark, secluded, comfortable), and they have a great selection they are expanding. This location exceeded my expectations, and much of that is due to customer service. I am sure that the whole staff is likely great, but Tracy was incredibly welcoming and fun without being invasive.
