I preface this review by sharing we are a team of escape room enthusiasts who have completed 50+ escape rooms. We visited KryptoScape on a Saturday to try Aunt Millie's Millions with a team of 7 people. It is part of a larger building tucked behind the main road with ample parking. Upon arrival, we signed waivers. It's pretty common to have an option to sign waivers online prior to arriving, but it wasn't available for us at KryptoScape - so I highly recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to your start time to complete this. You're given 60 minutes to complete the challenge - and we were told Aunt Millie's is the most challenging room they have to offer. From a story perspective, it provided a clear goal, with an immersive experience to achieve it. While the puzzle weren't particularly difficult, we enjoyed the variety that were offered. It wasn't just trying to solve a bunch of codes on a lock. They also had a good mix of tech embedded into the experience. It was also well designed for large(r) teams in the sense that you have feelings of diverging and converging. In other words, you don't feel like you split off as a team and never come together to solve something together OR everyone is trying to solve one thing at a time. It left our team feeling like we had a fun, enjoyable time. Often, the best escape experiences are met with hosts and game masters that are enthusiastic about their rooms. Our host Jared was great! Since we finished the room with plenty of time to spare, Jared was gracious enough to walk us through the whole thing once we completed it (as often in large groups, you aren't always aware how one activity might trigger another, so it's nice to hear how the whole room is supposed to unfold). He was clearly enthusiastic and willing to share, so that added to our positive experience. Lastly, I'm not sure how true this is - but there seemed to have been smells incorporated? Certain things smelled like how they were supposed to smell if real, and I'm not sure if the designers intentionally spray these items with a particular smell, or it was our minds playing tricks on us. Either way, it made our experience that much more memorable. read more

I brought my family here for my husband's Birthday. I thought it would be a fun family event to do all together. I have to say that I was pretty disappointed. We got there, checked in and then the gal just walked us into a room, didn't really say much. Since none of us (party of 7) had been to an escape room before we didn't really know what to expect. I felt as though we were just dropped off and expected to figure it all out, which I mean, I get it. That's the whole idea but for people that haven't done these before it would've been nice to have a little more explanation in the beginning. considering I paid almost $400 for an hour event, I guess I just would've hoped it would've been a little bit more of a memorable experience. This was our second time here (we finally escaped!!!) and it was just as amazing as the first. The rooms are super cool and well thought out. The staff is wonderful, personable, and kind to a couple of people who aren't the greatest puzzle solvers lol! Gigi is the best! Will definitely be back to tackle another room. read more

The two staff members were friendly and professional, from greeting us warmly to taking photos of our victory. The room itself was fun and a good challenge for two adults and two kids, half of whom were doing their first escape room. The built-in hint system was well crafted. Minor quibbles with fit and finish made it a little harder to solve a few of the puzzles, hence 4 stars out of 5. We're looking forward to returning and trying other rooms! read more

Very fun escape room place! The vibe was great and the workers were very kind! We did the Steam-Powered S.O.S. room and loved it!

We went here last year for my 13 year old's birthday with two of her friends and had such a great time. She asked to do the same this year. Sometimes her anxiety can get worse with lots of sounds so part way through we asked if we could have the creepy music off and the Gamemaster (really nice gal) turned it off right away. The rooms are amazing and so much fun. We will keep coming back and recommend this place to all of our friends! read more

We got a Groupon here before the restrictions but was surprised that they are still open. The room was actually pretty fun, the puzzle was unique and different from other places and they definitely have nice accessories and decorations. The room we did was somewhat easy since we didn't have to use any hints and finished with 18 minutes left to spare. But I really enjoyed the puzzle and theme. The only critique I have is the price, it's a little on the pricier end for me and I probably would not do this unless there's another Groupon of some sort. read more

We had a great time at the museum themed escape room. Not too hard not too easy. We've done escape rooms before and these are the sort I would recommend. The only issue was finding the place. It was in the basement of the building and you could not reach it via the main entrance of the building. Tricky to find but a great experience once we found it. read more

We just did the Museum Lockdown room and had a really fun time! The host, Chandler, was very friendly and did a great job explaining how it all worked. The puzzles were engaging and a good level of difficulty, and there weren't any, "oh my god, how are you supposed to know to do that?!" moments like we've had in other escape rooms. And our game master, Iona, gave great clues and did a good job of understanding when we needed help. We'll definitely be back! read more

Our group of 3 did Museum lockdown and Aunt Millie's Millions. Both are great. I love how the clues/communication from the game master comes through on a screen that matches the room (instead of a voice that comes through on a speaker), keeps the experience immersive. Felt very rushed before we even entered our escape room. We were told it was highly unlikely we would finish. We felt very underwhelmed with the amount of help we received during our time but were told to utilize as much help as we needed. The room was very complicated and if we would have had a walkie talkie for better communication we would have given 5 stars. Not many rooms to chose from which is fine. read more

My friends and I went here for my sweet 16 birthday party! We did the Museum Lockdown escape! It was tones of fun! We had low expectations for ourselves, but we're able to figure it out with 10 minutes left! It was lots of fun! My kids (ages 20 and 17) and I were looking for something to get us out of the house safely during the COVID shutdown. I saw a Facebook ad for the escape room, and visited the website. I was pleased to see that they are open and following strict COVID guidelines. The building was easy to find using Google maps, even with my tendency to make wrong turns. Upon entering, the lobby was very clean, including masks and hand sanitizer at the front desk. There are lockers to stow away your possessions while in the escape room. I won't give away any details about the escape room, other than it is a museum heist. We are not the sharpest tacks in the box, but the Gamemaster kept an eye on us and gave us just enough hints to allow us to escape. Thanks Emily! read more

Did our first escape room and it was so much fun! The reservation process worked great. We got a room for just our group. They did a great job of setting up the rooms. Our party of 5 had a lot of fun! We were pleasantly surprised. Waiting area is spacious, comfy, has a sink to wash your hands, and lockers for your belongings. There are masks available at the front desk if you forgot yours. We've done a lot of escape rooms and this one was pretty unique. The hints are written on a screen instead of given verbally which was helpful. We finished with over 8 minutes to spare and only 2 hints. We are Lynnwood locals so it's nice to have a quality escape room place close by without having to go far into Seattle or the east side. The prices decrease with the more people you add to the game so ends up being on par or cheaper than many other escape rooms. The game master was super welcoming too! We will definitely be back when they finish the new room. read more
