I had a crack at the bottom of my DE filter which I have had for approximately 2 years. The filter had been leaking for 3 days. I had tried T Rex tape to fix it but it did not work. It was still leaking. I previously had Chris clean the DE filter about a year ago. I called Chris a week ago and he said he would come on Wednesday July 17 with a used Jandy filter to replace the DE filter. He quoted me a price of $750 which included the cartridges. I thought the price was reasonable. He also gave me a 2 year warranty on the filter. He came on Wednesday July 17 with Jesus who helped him install the Jandy filter. He did haul away the bad DE filter. The pool seems to be working fine now. I would recommend this company to others looking for pool repairs. read more

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE CALLING THIS COMPANY #BEWARE OF A SCAM I been using this company for for the last 7 years and never had a problem until this last couple months or so. Ever since they sent this new Technician(I believe the son) he never cleaned the filter or did much. A week or so ago my pool motor starting making a loud screeming noise and was unusual sound and i asked the owner and the son what that was and he stated that the motor was very old and the berrings was going out. My motor is only 6-7 years old . I have cameras thru out my home and the new guy would be there littlery 3-5 minutes. I got quoted almost 2k for a motor swap out . Fast foward I flagged down my neighbors pool guy and he came over and found that my filter hasn't been cleaned in a very long time.. when he pulled it out He spent almost 20 minutes hosing down mud and gunk out of that filter. I was shocked . My motor now is working good and operating as normal. When I asked the 2nd opinion pool guy for a quote He said he would install a new motor with the seal and all material for around $450 $249 for the motor and $200 for the labor. I feel that this company is dishonest and a scam I am a owner of 3 hvac companys and I ever got caught trying to scam out my customers i would be all over yelp google and 7 on your side. The owner has a poor response of calling me back and that to me is horrible customer service. Im all about small family owned bussiness but this is the first i feel like i been taken and lied right in front of my face. Let me preface this review with saying I hate to leave negative reviews and if you look at my profile, I typically never do. But given my extremely poor experience with the owners, I find a negative review is justified as necessary. My one and only requirement when I hired Krystal Waters Pool was that under no circumstances they or their employees ever prop open our gate while servicing our pool. The owner swore on it and she shook my hand and personally said that our gate would never be left open, or propped open during servicing. This was a requirement because I worried that our dogs would get out. I work and the dogs have access to the outside during the day. I am a handshake kind of person. That is how I do business. I trusted them entering our backyard and trusted that their employees would be properly trained never to prop a gate open. I trusted them when the co-owner shook my hand and looked me in the eye, stating that I had nothing to worry about. After about two years as their client, not only did they prop open the gate one afternoon, resulting in the escape of two of our dogs, but the owner lied about it. When presented with security video evidence clearly showing her employee left the gate propped open, she retracted, but refused to apologize. Later that night, her husband called me, screaming, saying I was the aggressor in all of this for upsetting his wife by questioning her honesty. He said that I was verbally abusive to his wife. Yes, my voice was raised, but I did not get out of line. I was justifiably upset at the fact that I was being lied, to which escalated my voice. Her husband continued to state what a rotten person I am for being upset while continuing to minimize the magnitude of the situation, stating that the dogs escape "wasn't the end of the world." Well, to me, and most animal lovers, it's a HUGE deal if our pets escape and go missing or get fatally injured by a car. So yes, I got upset. But instead of taking accountability, I was completely gas-lighted and made out to be some sort of irrational misogynist for being agitated with his wife and questioning her integrity by stating she indeed was lying. I left a review back in early 2019 about what had occurred, but since I was threatened with legal recourse and physical harm, I decided to take it down. But every time I drive by their new physical location on Monterey, I think back to that day and that experience. I feel as if this review is warranted, given the nature of what happened. It is truthful and honest. I have not made any false statements nor embellished the facts. As I stated earlier, I rarely place a negative review. I don't like to potentially harm a person's livelihood over an honest, simple mistake, especially when they apologize or try to right a wrong. However, when a business doesn't take accountability and then lies until presented with the video truth, I think a negative review is acceptable. I sincerely hope both owners learned from this situation, but after reading the other negative reviews, honesty does not appear to be their strong suit. Instead, even when presented with facts and evidence, they'll blame the client and act as if they are in the wrong. It's unfortunate too, because our pool had never looked better than when they were our pool cleaner! read more

I needed assistance with my pool. I called Chris and we spoke for quite a while on the phone about their service and what they do for their customers. I explained I work out of town, but if we set an appointment, I will take off work early to meet him at my home. We set the appointment for 5:00 PM. I arrived home at 4:35 and texted him that I was there early if that helped him out. No reply. I texted at 5:00, are you coming. No reply. I called and left multiple voicemails. No call or reply. I called and texted again. I left the message that I had taken off work and was there as agreed. I told him I thought it was rude and unprofessional for him to just blow me off and not even respond. Around 3 hours later I got a text saying he got my messages and he had a tough day. That was it. No apology or explanation. Maybe it was a blessing I didn't hire the company. No respect for my time or even an attempt to make me understand the cause of his not showing up or not even responding to my messages. As the owner of my own business for over 25 years, I have always tried to treat people with respect and professionally. First impressions say a lot. These guys don't care. I needed to get the pool out by a certain time and couldn't get a sump pump in a reasonable time to be able to get the pool out. I called the company and they were very responsive. The owner came out within 3 hours of my call and got everything taken care of for me for a reasonable price. I'd like to preface this with the fact that we have used this company several times and used to be happy with their service. However, there was a recent change in ownership and, since then, service has gone downhill. After our most recent experience, we will never use this company again and would like to caution others as well. CONSUMER BEWARE: We called this company to diagnose and air leak we were having. We were unable to prime our pool pump. Krystal Water Pools came out and, in taking apart the plumbing to diagnose the issue, torqued on the pump fixtures too hard and broke it. We have this all on camera. Instead of contacting us, they packed up their things and left. My husband noticed the large crack later and reviewed camera footage. He contacted the company, who denied it until they were sent the camera footage, showing that they were the ones who broke it. we were given the runaround for 6 weeks. First, saying that they don't make replacement parts for our pump. This pump was installed in 2017 and is only 5 years old, so that wasn't true. We were then told the part was back ordered, which was believable, but also turned out to be untrue. We were then told that he's replace it without charging labor and we haven't been able to reach him since. We eventually gave up and called another company, who replaced what Krystal Water Pools broke and fixed the original issue. The kicker? The original issue was a leaky O-ring, which would have been a very minor and inexpensive fix. This turned into a $500 fix out of pocket for us, since Krystal Water Pools never did follow through. I would highly caution anyone using this company, even if you've used them in the past. The lack of integrity and business ethics we experienced, along with the flat out lies, was more than enough to deter us. read more

Beware! The worst pool company business I've ever used gave my credit card to the owner's wife one time to use for a legitimate charge she then later made up false service charges and charged on my credit card "without my knowledge or consent" where I had to cancel my credit card not trusting these people at all. Awful or no communication with this business other than wife texting making same excuses why she can't return calls or answer any questions doesn't allow her husband who by the way services the pools to have his cell number to talk to him if needed you have to go through her wait till she may call or wait for her to send an email just a controlling unpleasant experience to go through. Not to mention she is still sending me service bills after I hired another pool company months ago hard to believe. I may have to take legal action. I've had pool services thru my lifetime have to say worst people to deal with and worst pool service business experience ever I do not recommend this company at all!!! read more

I will say they cleaned our pool and fixed our water issue, but charged us for everything they possibly could. In their contract buried deep in it, it says they will fix anything for less then $50 and don't need your permission, let me tell you there's a lot of things they found to fix. Also make billing mistakes and say they can't fix it because the product is already in the pool. Oh and their technician drained our pool 7 inches 3 weeks in a row, and nothing was done for that. read more

I recently had problems with my spa and decided that trying to figure it out and fix it was beyond me so I searched for pool guys near Morgan Hill. Jeff was the third person I called and the first to actually answer his phone. He happened to be in the neighborhood and said he could be right over to take a look. After quickly figuring out what was wrong, he looked at my pool (which I had just cleaned, so to me it looked good), and asked me how long I had had my algae problem. I asked him how he knew since there wasn't any algae in the pool. He told me that he could tell by the water's clarity that the chemicals were not properly balanced and asked me if he could test the water. I let him test, and I'm glad I did. He showed me everything he was doing and explained every step. He also explained everything that was wrong with my pool water. I went to a nearby pool shop for an analysis and they didn't do nearly as good a job testing or explaining. The ultimate solution was a drain and fill and now my pool is GORGEOUS!!! Even the water tension has changed and my pool is not just perfectly clear but it actually looks silky! Absolutely a fantastic job. Before he started he sent me a quote on what everything would cost, and charged me exactly that when he was done. Part of the quote was an equipment check, but when he started checking on my system, he found that there were some anomalies in my control panel. He debugged the whole system and got it all working tip-top, including my fiber optic system that had been broken since we moved into this house. I don't think he anticipated all of that work when he sent me the quote, but he didn't try to jack up the bill when it was all said and done. That kind of thing goes a LONG way with me. I also asked him about his on-going pool service. The price he quoted me was very competitive, but then he explained that during the summer months he comes twice a week! This is for basically the same price as other services that only come once a week. After seeing what he was doing for my pool already, I hired him on the spot. I have been absolutely thrilled with the service I have been getting and would recommend Jeff to anyone. (I already have recommended him to my next door neighbor!) if you're looking for someone to maintain your pool for you, you need to have Jeff come over. He is the man!!! read more

I was very impressed with this company. I was fed up with trying to bring our above ground pool back to normal & Jeff came out to take a look & help. He suggested we drain it & start over but told me exactly how to start it a better way & maintain it a lot differently & cheaper than all years previously to owning these.
