A Must Stop Spot at Modesto Grub Hub! Every time I visit the Modesto Grub Hub, I make sure to stop by Krepe Dog it's one of my favorite hot dog spots in the area. I usually go for the Messy Dog or the Street Dog, and they never disappoint. The hot dogs are made fresh to order, so I highly recommend eating them on the spot while they're hot and loaded with flavor. Luckily, there are plenty of tables and chairs around, making it easy to sit back and enjoy your meal. Was visiting the girlfriend's family in the Central Valley this past weekend and they kept talking about wanting to try Krepe Dog, so we decided to try their pop up at Sueno Cofeee. Long story, short, it blew away my expectations. I tried out the 'Messy Dog' which is a bacon wrapped hot dog, topped with carne asada, grilled onions, cheese, their house sauce and jalapeños. This was hella tasty! The blend of flavors was done really well, and it was one of the most enjoyable bacon wrapped hot dogs I think I've had in a really long time. And the best part, it was like $12. I couldn't find anything like this back home for that price plus it was filling. We also tried out their speciality with the jalapeño poppers, I thought this was one good but not as good when eating side by side with the messy dog. Their menu is unique and creative. The loaded fries selection looked really good but I didn't try em bc I had eaten right before. Overall, definitely a spot worth checking out if you are craving a bacon wrapped hot dog! read more

I often go to the one down town, hot dogs are good and Ive never experienced attitude. This time I tried it at Dutch Hollow and the girl taking the order heard wrong. It's loud I get it but she proceeded to tell me "well you can see the order on the screen and I repeated the order." okay? 1. The sun was reflecting on the screen so no I couldn't see and 2. Its loud maybe invest on a microphone. We ended up throwing the hot dogs away. read more

Disappointing food especially for the price. The hot dogs was very average and definitely not worth what they charge. The asada fries were low quality meat with barely any flavor. Hot Cheetos on the hot dog were stale. The other hotdog is literally just kraft Mac n cheese on top of a hot dog. This is what I imagine jail food tastes like. Wouldn't order again. read more

The service was friendly & great. Servings generous. So many great options at this collection of food trucks with nice seating, and I'd like to try another truck next time, but I may just have to try a different hot dog from Kreme Dog. Their gourmet hotdogs and fries are so good!! I've tried the messy dog and elote dog and want to come back and try the Mac attack dog and cheesy potato dog. Elote fries and asada fries were so yummy as well. I forgot to ask them not to make the asada fries spicy but I was actually able to tolerate it which was such a surprise to me. I'm thinking the spicy didn't matter much because it was just so good. The workers here were very friendly and the wait isn't that bad on either busy or non busy days. I hope they will stay at this food stop location for a long time because I will be returning, bringing and sending friends here haha read more

The hot dogs were very good!! A little overpriced but they were good so I can't complain. We also got the flamin fries and they were SO good! I like fries that are a little more crunchy and those were the perfect amount of crunchy. The workers that were there were very nice and took our order on the phone when we called to ask if they were open. I took pictures of the menu for more updated prices. Overall great!! read more

I was so excited that this food truck offered a veggie sausage. Unfortunately, the actual veggie dog looked and sounded terrible to me.... veggie sausage topped with bell peppers, Avocado & Ketchup? No thank you. Luckily for 50 cents extra, they let me sub the veggie sausage in the elote dog and it was delicious! Grilled onion, corn, cotija cheese, crema & chili...yum! The sausage itself is top notch for a veggie sausage as well. My husband got the asada fries and he liked them as well. The downsides for us were the long wait for food and the poor customer service mentioned in many of the other reviews as well as a 75 cent charge to use your credit card but we would probably try this place again given the chance. read more

Sorry for the pic, but the Messy fries were so good, I devoured it before I took the pic. Whoops! Carne asada, Monterey Jack cheese, house sauce, grilled onions and grilled jalapeños. They put the perfect amount of everything! Other places put too much sauce or too much toppings that I feel it takes away from the balance in flavors. They also make a wrap that is similar, except it's in a spinach wrap with hot fritos. Delicious! Staff is super nice too! read more

This review is for the Grub Hubs location. My husband got the Flamin' Hot Cheetos hot dog and he is still raving about it as one of the best hotdogs he's ever had. It looked and smelled delicious and he devoured it before I could try some or even take a picture. He also got the chili cheese fries but was very disappointed at the quality of those. He compared the chili cheese fries to "7-Eleven chili cheese fries" and said that they were "bland and soggy". The price was a bit high as he paid almost $25 for two food items and a can of soda. He said that the service was as good as could be expected from a food truck. read more

Krépe Dog came to my workplace (Doctors Medical Center) on 4/11/20 and fed hundreds of healthcare workers. During this unprecedented pandemic, I found this to be such a nice gesture and I know everyone I spoke with was super grateful for them! To be in their thoughts already means a lot and for them to go out of their way to plan a date to feed us is topping it off! They were providing us their special hot dogs and fries items. I ordered their carne asada fries and oh my goodness they were phenomenal!!! Just by the picture alone you can taste the fries! The fries were crispy, the asada meat was cooked very well, great amount of cheese and toppings to go along with this dish! The beef franks were a nice bonus as I haven't tried that with fries before. My only food critique was how I thought the dish was a little too salty with the added bacon and spices mixed within but hey..... I STILL ATE IT ALL! Thank you again Krépe Dog for the wonderful gesture! I will stop by next time to try your hot dogs as that is my next go-to item! read more

This review is specifically for the Krepe Dog #2, they're located in Lathrop at the Lathrop Food plaza. We bought two hot dogs The Mac Attack and the Street Dog. So to start with the hot dogs themselves you can tell it's quality beef dogs. For my Mac Attack I think it was ok, nothing to really blow It over the top. I just added some salt in and was fine. My wife's Street Dog was good, with the combination of the peppers and onion, it had flavor. Some bacon maybe would throw it more flavor. See got the Cheese fries too to share, fries were seasoned well they were just a little too cooked so a little bit hard .service was fast and the Food Truck was clean. We'll be back, and as always my first review can change as we buy more food to taste the menu. read more

Sancho dog was literally the best hotdog I've ever had but prepare for the meat! I was a little skeptical about the way the Mac and cheese, and egg in the Whatever fries would mix but they were the most delicious combination of fries! I highly recommend trying those fries and if you're skeptical about any of the combinations to just try them out because it might surprise you. Came to this spot for the experience because it looked like a nice little spot but left disappointed. The food is definitely not worth the price. The food was bland there was not a lot of flavor and the bun was hard. I was not impressed. Waited about 30 minutes for a single hot dog and there was only one guy in front. The service was not good but it was not bad. Therefore I give this place a 2 star. read more

Loved how unique this place was! I wanted to try everything on the menu. So happy they had a veggie option for the hotdog! I was so overwhelmed I actually got the veggie dog itself! Wish I ordered one of the beef options but subbed the hotdog for veggie. The veggie dog wasn't bad it just had raw bell peppers so the consistency was off and the topping kept falling out. I also ordered the everything fries and omg those were delicious that's a dish that I think describes the whole establishment so well! I've been hearing about this place and finally tried it for the first time last night. Super friendly service and she was helpful with any questions I had. You also get a loyalty card. All hot dogs are wrapped in bacon and buns have garlic and mayo. Kids got the plain dog and we got the elote dog, caliente dog and flamin fries. They also had a minty mango fresh water on the specials board, so I tried that. It was light and refreshing and even the kids liked it. As soon as I opened up my elote dog, I got that smell just like I had ordered a fresh cup of corn with the fixings. I really enjoyed it. The only thing I can think of is to serve with a lime wedge for a bit of acidity. The caliente dog was tasty, too and loved that it had jalapeno poppers on top and the sauce had just enough heat. I didn't taste the flamin fries, but they looked fully loaded. I don't eat a lot, but didn't feel stuffed after my dog. Can't wait to go try more. read more

The food here is actually really really good, they have lot of options for hotdogs and fries, but for what you're receiving it's definitely not worth it. They work out of a food truck and give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is done, which there's nothing wrong with, but the wait time is horrendous, there was only one person ahead of me and I ended up having to wait around 40 minutes or so just for an elote hotdog. read more

As much as I've enjoyed their pastas I have noticed a some decline and probable changes. I've been a couple of times recently in the last couple of months and every time the sauces seemed a bit watered down and less flavorful. I also remembered their pastas coming with garlic bread but I had to order garlic bread the last time. Anyways, the actual cook of the pasta has been consistently good so I can't complain there. They aren't the quickest to get your food out but for the overall quality I am pretty much always willing to wait for well prepared food. As for ambiance, I mean it's a food truck so not much to say there.

The Good: * Friendly service * Prices aren't too bad considering the portion size and flavor. * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * Craft brews in cans * Seven levels of heat for everyone from the spice-averse to the hardcore fire lover. * Chicken sandwiches are massive and delicious. And despite it being a breast, they kept it very juicy. * Really loved their fries; I'm not sure if they make them in-house or if they're frozen, but regardless, they're fantastic. The Meh: * Not much in the way of drinks except for the aforementioned beers and cans of soda. The Ugly: * It's located in DTSJ, so you'll most likely have to pay for parking. It is located off a newly renovated street where new high rise development were put in to increase dwelling density and foot traffic. It is not quite there yet, but I can see where this is going. It is held in this square near a business park so there is plenty of parking. There is a grassy square where families like to lounge with picnic blankets and lawn chairs. There's usually a dj dishing out tunes, a beer and wine tent, and about 8-10 food trucks lined up in an organized fashion. It goes every Friday in the warm months so from May to October. If a holiday pops up on a Friday like 4th of July they will skip it. Starts at 5pm and goes to about 9pm. Bulk of the crowd goes from 6:30 - 8. I go to about 2-4 per year since 2017, with the exception of 2020 cuz y'all know why. You can see the food truck line up each week on their website or socials. So I like to scan that and if it looks promising then I'll text some friends/family if anyone wants to meet up after work on Friday. If the weather is nice, it is just a just a festive and social way to start a summer's weekend. Now even tho I like these events I don't always like food truck food. Sure it is trendy and you do get to sample and /or get stuff brought to you in one area. But I often just find many of the food to be just average at best at prices that rival sit down dining. So to me I like scoping these out occasionally but I don't think they are worth going to on a frequent basis. I also feel that there aren't enough places to sit and eat once you get your food from a truck. There is a small area where they put out portable picnic benches, but those fill up with just 20 people or so. Otherwise you have to sit on the lawn and come prepared with blanket or lawn chair, or find a concrete planter box to sit on, or go back to your car to eat. Another reason why food trucks events often leave me hanging. But bring a warm typical Bay Area summer's evening where it doesn't get dark til almost 9pm and you want to be amongst your community and commerce, this event will do you more than fine.

There was even some line dancing going on in the makeshift stage area at some point. Sound was not the greatest, the volume quite low even for a small event, but it was fine. There were about 8 food trucks to choose from, along with a few random vendor/service tents (like Bass Pro Shops). Decided on sliders and garlic fries from the Curveball food truck. The food was okay, good enough to satisfy my hunger (see my separate review on that). I snagged one of the few spots in the grass with shade on this hot evening, though they also have tables and seating here, partially shaded too. An actual restroom (not porta potties) on site, in the Fremont downtown event center building. Also, plenty of space available in the parking lot. This is a pretty low-key community event, free to attend and grab a bite to eat, and just hang out for an hour or two.

I do wish that there are more heaters around for the colder days but that's just life in the bay! It can be kind of cold and foggy all seasons here, so if you have a solid group of folks I'd recommend reserving a spot with a fire pit. One more note: parking can be tough. You either have to circle around for street parking, or rideshare here.

I'm leaving this review as I'm halfway through finishing my dog because it just couldn't wait. THE BEST HOTDOGS EVER! My husband had the Sancho dog and I had the plain dog (bacon wrapped). I would include pictures, however we were so hungry we didn't think about it till it was too late. I also ordered the pineapple, coconut and mint agua fresca and it was so refreshing, it's my new obsession. This food truck is doing great things for Turlock! Keep up the great work! O M G. This is by far the BEST Hot Dog place I've ever been to. My all time favorite is the Caliente Dog.. it has jalapeño poppers and their special sauce. It's truly delicious! The frito fries are also my favorite they have freshly baked fries with Flamin' Fritos and nacho cheese. I really recommend this place. If you plan on breaking your diet..you should just go eat at Krépe Dog! read more
