It took the bulk of the day for someone to get back to me. When I did get someone, it appeared that she was trying to fit me into her schedule instead of vice versa and the gal was not happy that I wanted a later time than she suggested yet reluctantly agreed. Although she seemed like a nice person, she lacked confidence in her work. Already we were starting late. She did call to let me know before hand. Despite many years of experience, she seemed like a newbie and lacked interpersonal skills one would think a stylist should have. As we were already late of course my session would run into another. Apparently, the gal waiting was a regular and the stylist wanted to hurry up. Oh, your hair is in good shape no need for a cut unless you need one. Huh? I have an outgrown A line. Oh, I guess you need that leveled off. Yeah. Well, I should have stopped there because, while I did get a cut, it was a half-hearted one that was rushed to accommodate a lateness my appointment did not create. Will not go back. The color faded, despite a wash only every 5 days, within 3 weeks.

So I had tried to call and message places that can do Balayage, I seen Lorraine's reviews/Facebook pictures so I had tried to contact her multiple times, through Facebook and calling, I guess that was a sign for me not to set an appointment with her. After a few attempts of reaching her ,she eventually had got back to me. I asked her if she can give me a cut and I wanted my hair Balayage style. She said yes, she can do it. I got scheduled an appointment on Wednesday at 10 am , I got there and she takes a look at my hair, she said my hair is too black and too long, so she asks if she can test my hair before we get started, I agreed. She does one strand and I'm sitting in this chair for hours, she bleaches this strand multiple times, finally it is 8 pm and she tells me it is patchy because i kept moving around. Okay sorry I been sitting in this chair , uncomfortable , tired and hungry, also getting quite irritated and it's not like you were going to keep that strand like that. So I'm upset seeing nothing get done in 8 hours , so it's already late and she tells me I have to reschedule. She then tells me this strand will be $75 dollars , I get even more upset because if I wanted to bleach one strand of my hair , I would've at the supply store for only $15. Me not knowing how salons work or if sitting in the chair literally the whole entire day for one strand was normal ? I leave the salon and have a mental break down right after walking out those doors. If this strand was $75, I can't imagine how much she'd charge me for the next appointment. I didn't even get to have my hair cut or anything get done, it was a complete waste of my time and my money. It's like she didn't even know what she was doing. Overall she has a great personality, I just wish I never had to go through this,now I'm even more skeptical going to salons. I feel as if when I mentioned I have never been to a salon so I was quite nervous, she took advantage and charged me so much for literally one strand. Even when I told my coworkers they even thought it was crazy and urged me to give her a call ,also said I shouldn't had paid it because it was unbelievable. I was walking around with black hair and one strand of blonde in it, looking ridiculous. I eventually died my hair back to black myself for $10 .
