Half of the classes are sold out, but you don't know that until you click on the class, hoping to sign up-- nope, it's another wait-listed class, sorry. The website IS kind enough to tell you where you are on the waitlist. However, I have spent the better part of an hour trying to find classes that are NOT already full. Shouldn't there be a filter option so I don't waste my time trying to find a class that I can take, rather than going for the brute-force method of checking every. single. one...?! Also, I would love the option to view classes based on who is teaching them. I have heard of a few recommendations from anonymous friends, but I have to use the "Ctrl+F" method on the page to find out what classes they are teaching that week. There is a scroll-able menu at the top of the site. This is a good idea. However, a better one would be to have the top-menu smaller, either with a wraparound applied to the individual links, or to have 2 rows of the menu. This would save users both time and the effort of clicking 56x to get from one side of the menu to the other! (yes, I counted) The staff is pretty friendly on the phone... I purchased the "6-month of Unlimited classes + 1 Private Lesson" Groupon, and when I told the gentleman on the phone, he said "That's the best one! Congratulations!" He then offered for me to come as a guest to 3 of the dance parties next week, even though my Groupon doesn't start until July 29 (20 days from the time of writing). I look forward to trying out many of the various classes they offer, and will undoubtly update this review when I do. However, PLEASE fix your website!!!

No matter if you have two left foot or no left foot at all, is size -2 or size 38+, is under 18 or has few great grand children making more children, speak English or not, Jannelle will make a belly dancer out of you. Same applies to gals and guys. I think, for Jannelle, belly dancing seems to be about the celebration of body in all size, color and shape. She regularly invites dancers of other discipline - ballet, hip hop, for example - to co-instruct her workshops so the students benefit from more than 2 dancing instructors at the same time. As an entrepreneur, Jannelle seems to be the kind of professional that is person-centered, meaning she cares about her student not just because of the blingbling but she honestly wants her students to dance well enough to enjoy belly dancing. I may not know the moves at first but at least I know what is expected and what's next and over time I'll learn it. This instructor did not do that but apparently it's all basic bachata moves just exaggerated. After a while it got better although it felt uncomfortable and unnatural. The male teacher was alright in giving instructions and once his female partner arrived it was better. One thing he did do which I liked, and wish more people would do, is have the followers close their eyes. This is great because it teaches the ladies to not anticipate a move and forces the leaders to really be assertive and make clear signals. What a difference!

Came to this location for beginner dance class. Upon entering you take the elevator to the second…read morefloor for the studio. When you get off the elevator there's a few benches there that you can sit and wait and a desk for you to register/sign in. Sign in process was easy and simple and they told me the room the class was going to be in. They also gave the brief reminder not to enter the class until the class that is currently in session is finished and everybody has exit from the class. The hallways of the studio is a bit tight so we had to shuffle around with the people that were coming out and the people that were waiting for the next class but we may do. The size of the class room is a decent size for the amount of people that showed up. The teacher was very informative and assisted with steps and would go over steps as well just for the people that may have missed steps. There was also apart in the class where you got to work with a partner that was fun you got to meet different people. Afterwards for like 5 minutes we had a little dance "party" where you could do anything that you learned from the class.

I'm a beginner AND short so it's incredible hard for me to learn when I can't see myself and the instructor. It makes me feel so disappointed when it's too crowded to do anything about it. I understand the classes are popular but I do think it's doing a disservice to the instructors and students when you make a class so crowded. I am trying to give an honest and fair review because I do try my best and I love the instructors. I hope PMT will please take this into consideration and reduce the number of students in a class to make beginner and adv beginner classes actually beginner and adv beginner friendly!
