The first one, could not tell you who, told me the fan was built-in to the hard drive and could not be replaced. Bummer! The second to call was Erik from Pikesville PC. He wanted me to drop my computer off. He works out of he home. At first it was a little awkward (don't know why because I also work out of my home) but it turned out to be a good call. Arrived a few days later and I drove 10 miles to go there and have it installed at a total cost of about half or less than what the apple store and few other guys quoted me. Very slow service and poor communication…read more The diagnostic process took far longer than expected, despite my repeatedly following up for updates. Communication throughout the process was poor, and I was rarely informed about the status of my laptop. In the end, I was simply told that the motherboard was damaged and the laptop could not be repaired. If I just wanted a second opinion that my laptop was broken, I could have gotten one much much faster and at no cost. The experience cost me both time and money, and I was left frustrated by the lack of timely updates and clear communication. I can't comment on the quality of their repair work since no repair was performed, but based on my experience, their communication and turnaround time need significant improvement.
