Lesson learned, but they don't have any WiFi services. We went back and looked on the website, but totally missed it. We noticed that the staff were very responsive, which was great. Just a couple of items I would recommend for maintenance/cleaning purposes. After a customer has left, make sure to check the outdoor bulbs. One of our porch bulbs was out, but the other one thankfully provided enough lighting. As you can imagine, it can get very dark at night. Also make sure to sweep around the porch area and look for cobwebs. Also make sure to check the utensils after each stay. Some of the utensils were cheaply made, and were used inappropriately on a grill. Also, the broom inside of our Airbnb probably either needed to be replaced or cleaned. We noticed that there was a lot of hair trapped within the broom bristles. So as we were trying to clean, the broom was actually leaving more and more hair on the floor. Also, keep in mind, you have to take out your own trash, which was a first for us. Lastly, you may want to bring your own pillows if you have any back or neck issues. They were super flat and uncomfortable. Other than those items, the Airbnb was clean. If you don't mind tiny places, then you definitely want to check out River Ridge.

The sites aren't shaded, it's not kid friendly, and there's nothing to do during the middle of the day. We sat by the fire at night. It was peaceful, but mosquitoes tried to eat us up. Even with bug spray. The dog park was good, but not shaded. There's no wifi, no free toilets, no free showers. You'll be okay if you have those things in your camper. We have an older class C van, so we weren't happy at all. I had such high hopes for this place, too. It should be better in 2030, when the newly planted trees get big enough to provide shade. Maybe they'll have a bathhouse by then, too.

We'd debated on the Tiny Cottage or TreeHouse and thankfully for 2 people, the TreeHouse was most appropriate for space. Check in was contactless and pretty easy based on the instructions provided by email. Golf carts and/or ATVs are provided for you to get around the property which was pretty cool. The TreeHouse was stored with most of your household basic needs. The only thing we needed inside that wasn't available was a cheese grater and colander for a recipe. However, we were able to improvise. There is a store on property which is accessible 24 hours. We were under the impression that the store carried eggs from seeing them on several TicTok videos, but that was not case during our stay. There were none in sight. Additionally, the store's payment kiosk was out of order so we were unable to purchase anything additional. This would've been nice to know at the time of booking. We ended up having to leave the property and head to the nearest Dollar General & Foodland for a few extras which was a short distance down the street. When returning from Foodland, we came across the manager who happened to be on the property. She was nice. The property's amenities were nice. We really enjoyed the main firepit and the people we met. Blankets were provided in a nearby bin. We didn't get to enjoy all of the amenities as the temps dropped significantly during our stay and a freeze warning was in affect. All in all, it was cozy, quiet and a peaceful retreat (except for the acorns hitting the top of the treehouse). It should be noted that the stairs are short and steep, getting to and from the bedroom (upstairs) and bathroom (downstairs). My friend slipped a little while going downstairs to the bathroom in the middle of the night, but she was fine and didn't hurt herself.

I also paid extra for bathroom facilities but wasn't made aware of the code. I got that ironed out the next morning. On arrival it was dark. I mean black. Nothing lit at all. I couldn't find any signage. I finally got to the RV sites. Somehow I was under the impression I was site 19. My mistake. I got backed but not using the right track, again, the place is black as night. No pun intended. In the morning I awoke to find 4 or 5 other units scattered about. They seem to be long term units. On looks like a meth lab. The grass is long and hasn't been cut in 10 days or so. The dog park is ready to be harvested not just cut. The bathroom facilities were immaculate and worth $40 a night is yours are sketchy. My girlfriend wanted more space than my little Oliver offered. I'm used to it so I stuck to my RV. The hookups are top notch and in perfect condition. All the travel surfaces and camping surfaces have a weed barrier and crushed stone. There is no liter or refuse about except for the meth trailer which is a real eyesore and the dog park which needs mowing horribly. Its location is great. I will probably be back and check it out but I won't prebook.

The question says "what could I improve" and I 100% say your rude ignorant staff. I left a review…read moreon google but I guess I'll drop one off here too. 1 Star - If I could give this place zero stars, I definitely would. This was our first time staying here. My boyfriend (18) and I (20) were camping with our family and spending some quality time together. We arrived later in the evening, went fishing around sunset, and then took a golf cart ride to the basketball courts with my sister (21) and a few of my nieces and nephews. Our campsite was very close to the courts, so it was only a short drive. As we were pulling into a parking space, a staff member started screaming at us multiple times, claiming we were speeding. We were literally parking the golf cart, so there is no way we were going more than 7 miles per hour, although they have a speed limit of 5. There were people around, and we were being cautious and respectful. The employee continued waving her hands and yelling while we were trying to park. She then approached my boyfriend and aggressively accused him of "speeding". Not just 2 miles over like full blown saying we were at least going 15 + as her words were "WAY too fast"- When he calmly responded, "I don't think I was going that fast," she immediately accused him of having an attitude. She noticed a closed beer container in the front cup holder and began accusing him of drinking. The beer belonged to an adult passenger who was 21, but she refused to listen. She then claimed she could smell alcohol on everyone in the golf cart--including me, even though I'm pregnant. We had only been there for a couple of hours and were not drinking, and also heading home at night so NO WAY. She repeatedly accused us of drinking and driving, speeding, and being reckless. She called my boyfriend an "asshole" and a "smart ass" simply because he disagreed with her accusations. She even threatened to call the police, which didn't concern us because we knew we weren't doing anything wrong. Even called security out there because apparently saying "I don't think I was going that fast" is threatening words and needs security called on for. Then security claimed to smell alcohol on our breaths (even mine till I said I was pregnant and the story changed) - security also stated that he seen us speeding earlier but we had just left and hadn't even been on it for one whole minute (that's how close we were to the basketball court). Then proceeded to tell us he got drunk all the time when he was a teen and he had done way worse.. like okay? You did that not us.. The employee then contacted the person who rented the golf cart and told him that we were drinking and driving. As a result, the golf cart was taken away because it wasn't rented under our names. While I understand that policy, I saw plenty of other people--including kids--driving golf carts throughout the campground without any issues. The entire situation was handled in an extremely unprofessional and disrespectful manner. Instead of approaching us politely and addressing any concerns, this employee immediately jumped to conclusions, made false accusations, and treated us like criminals in front of our family and several children. If I'm not mistaken, her name was Meghan. This experience completely ruined what should have been a fun family camping trip. Based on how we were treated, I would not recommend this place. I would also like to add she harassed several people while we were here. Talked to the manager & She had no authority to do that in the first place and it's not her job. She's overstepping and ignorant, loud and wrong. apparently has an attitude problem and has caused problems before.

At first, although very short and elementary in nature, I received responses via email, but they soon became far and few as the days drew near for me to travel to the Alabama region. I called time and time again (no solicitation: these calls and emails were all at least a week out from one another), and the promise of reaching out or calling me back was never fulfilled. I was, throughout the entire ordeal, a willingly paying customer, but the General Manager seemed a little discriminatory after time went on. A week before I was set to travel to Alabama, all forms of communication stopped: Alexis refrained from answering my calls, and did not answer any of my follow-up emails. Flat out just ignored me. Completely unprofessional: I was completely inconvenienced due to the fact that this pre-arrangement fell through. Luckily, a Director of Sales at a boutique hotel was informed of my predicament, and she was able to accommodate free-of-charge. If you are thinking of making accommodations at The Henry House in Guntersville, AL, please don't. I can't even imagine how the hospitality is at that location, given my experience. Truly disappointing. I completely understand if one did not want to, or could no longer, accommodate a service, but completely ignoring a customer without reason is just nasty.
