Kuluka is a super cute space with great drink and pastry options. We got the ube milk tea and wintermelon with boba. The boba pearls were delightfully chewy and tasty. The teas were too sweet and we got 25% sweet. The ube tasted pretty artificial, so I wouldn't get it again, but would try their other flavors. The space is really large and aesthetic. I could easily see myself hanging out and catching up with friends in the space. The pastries looked delicious, so I'll definitely be back to try those. First time here and definitely not my last. This is such a cute place, so aesthetic and perfect for photos. The servers are friendly and service was quick. There is a wide selection of drinks, from milk tea, fruit tea, smoothies, to coffee. I had the Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea (half sugar) and it was great! It hit the spot since I was craving boba. I've driven by this place so many times and finally got the time to try it the other day! This is such a cute little boba shop in Westminster. Their display window is really pretty and I will say those mochi donuts are as good as they look!! I tried the chocolate kit Kat flavor and I was not disappointed. Kuluka is such a beautiful space! I even asked the staff who decorated!! How is it so cute and welcoming?! (They hired an interior designer)... Cute boba tea and mochi donut shop located conveniently next to Costco - but the drinks and snacks just didn't hit the mark. Stopped by Kuluka on a hot day looking forward to something refreshing. It's a small storefront with only a few parking spaces out front, but the neighboring Westminster Liquors doesn't seem to mind when customer parking bleeds into their storefront. We had high hopes as we walked in and were greeted by the friendly staff manning the front. Although rather plain on the outside, the store interior feels warm, almost tropical, with plant paraphernalia everywhere. They have a nice assortment of different drinks, including fruit teas, milk teas, and smoothies, along with special seasonal items that are advertised on the counters. I liked that each drink was clearly designated as dairy-free or caffeine-free, since it's hard to tell what ingredients each shop is using. It was decently busy, but we were still able to get a seat at one of the several square tables that inhabit the seating area while we waited for our drinks. If you're lucky, you can snag a cozy hanging chair to enjoy as well. The special donut of the day was the Dubai donut - which, even though it was more expensive than their classic flavors, we had to try. Unfortunately, my hopes started sliding downhill as I took my first bite. It didn't have very much pistachio flavor at all, and the texture wasn't the chewy cloud that makes mochi donuts so enjoyable, more like a traditional donut. Drinks-wise, I opted for an Ube Milk Tea, while my boyfriend got a classic Brown Sugar Milk Tea, both light ice and half sugar. Both our drinks still tasted as if they were 90% sweetened, so if I were to go back, I'd probably ask for 0% just to be on the safe side. The ube in particular felt very artificial, without any any of the starchy puree signifying real ube. Overall, Kuluku has such a shiny exterior, but did not live up to expectations at all. Will be looking to get my boba fix elsewhere unless I'm already in the area. read more

The staff is super friendly and it does seem like they're happy to be there which makes a world of difference dining at any restaurant/cafe. Prices were good. This is currently my go to mochi donut place in Westminster. Love the surprises of finding out what flavors they have for the day as it constantly changes/updates. Friendly service and recommendations. I've tried the Creme Brulee Boba and it was delicious, but mostly here for mochi donut. Clean atmosphere with clean restrooms, come give them a try. The most economical way is to get the dozen, and they can split that up to a 3, 6, 12 count box to go. Have been here a few times and the donuts are consistently yummy. While they have a cute interior and pretty good service, I was disappointed in the drink I got. I ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee with 100% sweetness and I think I just got normal iced coffee. The hallmark of a Vietnamese iced coffee is how sweet it is, due to being sweetened with condensed milk. But what I got wasn't even sweet, it was so bitter. I was not a fan. I love their Ube Milk Tea but never tried a mochi donut from them. I decided to try a raspberry mochi donut today and it was awesome! It had a nice chew to it but it was airy almost like a french cruller. It wasn't super sweet but the tartness of the raspberry and the sweetness of the icing provided a very balanced and enjoyable taste when paired with perfect texture. Super cute and seasonal, the snowflake donut was super good, it had a cream cheese like frosting They were out of boba when we ordered so I asked how long it would take to be done, they said about 15 mins so we decided to wait for the fresh boba since we weren't really in a rush. Boba consistency ended up being a little chewy (so probably a little under cooked) but overall good. I appreciated that the boba was cooled before putting it in the drink, I personally don't like when the boba is hot in my cold drink because it waters it down and warms it. There wasn't any cars parked on the 92nd side so I thought it would be empty but when I walked it in, there was a good number of people there. What I swallowed: *Strawberry Matcha Mochi: The matcha wasn't too bitter and the strawberry gave it a delightful sweetness. It was a good marriage of the two tastes. I'd order this again. *Banilla mochi: This had to be my favorite between the two. Very creamy and and the banana gave it a great sweetness. I would definitely recommend this donut. I was a bit worried that being it was 4:30p the donuts would be stale but they still tasted fresh so that was nice. Moist on the inside with the perfect mochi crust. It was a great donut. Heard about this place and finally had the chance to go, while meeting a friend on this side of town, which is the opposite side of town for me. Mango fruit tea was a little overly sweet for me, but was refreshing nonetheless. Love the donut flavors and weekly rotating flavors they have to offer. Would like to return to try other items on the menu when in town. A few weeks after my first visit, my cousins from Chicago came to visit and they were staying in this area, so we had to come here, as they had never had mochi donuts before. What a classy addition to the neighborhood and it's open late (9 pm) which I really appreciate. Sometimes you want a coffee late at night, and here's a spot where you can get it and maybe a donut too? They have oat milk too! This would be a great spot to meet with friends or study for an hour or too. There are not a whole lot of power outlets though... Parking is a little odd. It's right next to a liquor store that has most of the front row spots. Or else you have to park on the side of the building. Bathrooms are clean but parents there are no diaper changing tables - so back to the car! I don't think they have an online order or rewards program as of yet but hopefully that's coming soon. While Costco Westminster tire center was holding my car hostage, I decided to walk over and check this place out. I was pleasantly surprised. The store was so cute - great decor. They had swinging chairs towards the entrance, so whimsical. The toffee crunch donut was delicious. And the brown sugar matcha boba drink was very well made. Wifi was good - I was able to get some work done while Costco took an eternity to switch out my tires. The cashier was friendly. Yummy! Plenty of parking in the lot, and baristas were friendly when my friends and I walked in. They've been here multiple times and recommended the place. I got a milk tea that was significantly watered down and you couldn't taste any creaminess of the milk. The tea was bitter as well.
