Love me some boba so decided to try my new neighborhood store. The Kuluka was impressive as soon as we stepped in the door. Very clean and nice setup. There were about ten customers and several staff. The display case had a very nice variety of donuts and sweets. On weekends there are Mochi donut holes also. I ordered two Mango and strawberry slushes with boba added. Paired that with six Mochi donut holes. The snack was very good. I was amazed by the texture and flavor of the donut holes, I will definitely purchase again. I do feel bad for this small local business. They share their parking with a liquor store next door which is very rude and unfriendly. The liquor store has blocked off over nine parking spaces for them that left only two spaces for the sweets shop. read more

We have been here a few times as my oldest loves Boba. I usually don't enjoy Boba because it's usually so sweet. Here you can tell them percentages of sweetness. Usually I do 50-75% sweetness. I am becoming a fan. I love their donuts. Not super sweet. A nice crisp and airy dough inside. They also serve Little Man ice cream. So nice that the local Boba place is using one of the well known local ice cream places. It is a supercute place with a cute selfie station and games. The selfie station is a faux green plant wall with a rose gold metal " Love". Love this place. The people are friendly and efficient. It's always clean. read more

Very beautiful modern luxury and clean, fresh, vibe atmosphere with pretty big places with a lot of tables available. We tried the guava & cheese mochi donut. It was a unique flavor, and we liked it. I tried strawberry matcha latte and mango matcha with oatmilk. I am a huge fan of strong matcha. I believe this place has the strongest matcha in Colorado. Both of the drinks were pretty sweet. Lovely boba and motchi donuts with a great open atmosphere. Even when busy they get drinks out quickly. With two 16 oz drinks (they offer 16 or 24oz) plus 1 Motchi total comes to 15 bucks. So far I've had the Ube and creme brulee and would get both again. I usually do 25%- 50% sweet with the regular or brown sugar boba It was my first time having the motchi donuts and I really love the texture. After several visits, the fruity pebbles is my fav. I've loved the caramel apple, berry cream cheese, raspberry pistachio, and toffee crunch flavors. The s'mores and key lime were good too. I didn't like the strawberry poke. They aren't GF here as they utilize rice and wheat flour. My friend had the coffee which is made with an espresso machine and liked it. They had oat and almond milk options. I got the Vietnamese coffee once and really disliked it (to the point of not drinking it even after getting some extra half n half added). The interior decoration is really neat! Love the wallpaper, fake plant wall, hanging chairs and comfy velvet couches! There's a few games you can play too. Really appreciate the attention to detail here. The place was bright and clean and crowded. They also serve coffee, tea, and ice cream. They really have a pretty full menu of flavors and topping for all these. Pinapple passion fruit donut: such a delicious little donut. It was like little round donuts joined in the shape of a ring. The glaze was light and the flavor was fruity and natural tasting. The interior designer needs an award! It is BEAUTIFUL in there! Love the green satin couches and the beautiful wallpaper, the wall pots, the hanging couches... I could stay there for the entire day! That being said though, the donuts and boba are not as good as I thought they'd be. The mochi donuts here are a lot greasier and leave a "heavier" feeling in the stomach (as opposed to real mochi donuts you get in Asia, or even some mochi donut stores in Aurora), and the boba drinks taste like water. Their 100% sweetness tastes more like 50%, and the milk teas are too watery even with less to no ice. It's great that more Asian places are opening up, but the quality of the boba and donuts were below average. read more

My first mochi donut experience and HOLY COW! I'm a big fan of these delicious treats. The crust is a thin and delicate outside with the most dense and chewy inside. It's a real pleasure to have one of these. I went with a strawberry pokey but I can't wait to try the other flavors they offer. The restaurant is very clean and beautiful. It's was pretty busy when I went there so I ended up waiting on my *1* drink for about 15-20 minutes.. however I know this is a new business so I don't want to dock them too hard for that. The boba tea was really good but a little sweet so I'll ask for less sweetener on my next visit. I was happy to see that they serve little man and cream and Paul's coffee as well! This review is for the Vietnamese iced coffee and black milk tea both 50% sugar. The viet iced coffee looked like it had no condensed milk and straight up tasted very bitter with some sugar flavor, I had to toss it. The milk tea we got with oat milk instead of any dairy free creamer and it still made my friends stomach sick and he threw up afterwards, pretty sure it still had some dairy free milk in it. They were really bad, wouldn't recommend. I've tried their matcha before, it was mid and not good flavor. Go to Tbaar in Denver instead for good boba in Denver, way better. read more

The barometer that I usually use for boba is: "how does this compare to Kung Fu Tea?". Kung fu tea shops have sprouted up all over Colorado and it is the epitome of good but not quite great, so I find it a useful measuring stick. Kuluka falls WAY below Kung fu tea. Their recipe doesn't have a good consistency. It either ends up being too watery or too syrupy. It's not a good texture. It's also overly sweet, and the problem is if you opt for a lower sugar level they don't know how to balance out the flavors to still make it a quality drink. You are much better off going somewhere else. This place does, however, deserve props for some of its mochi donuts. While they are not the best, they are relatively good for Colorado since there's not many other places that offer mochi donuts. The chocolate was good for example, however the classic wasn't made correctly and there wasn't enough powdered sugar added on top so it tasted bland. read more

Brown sugar milk tea & ube milk tea. As an Orange County native I have been hard pressed to find a good boba spot in CO. Kuluka has been so far my favorite. Brown sugar milk tea at 50% sweetness was good, and the balls were perfect chewy texture. For brown sugar boba I would say the balls are not as sweet as I am used to. Ube milk tea at 75% sweetness was TOO sweet. Even at 50% I can imagine it would be too sweet. Friend got it w crème brûlée and egg pudding both of which were great! Have been here twice to catch up with friends and it's great every time. I live in SoCal where I was introduced to mochi donuts and they're just as awesome here! (a SoCal location would be lit). Mochi flavors are different and so perfectly sweet. The menu isn't too overstimulating and has better sweet ratios than most boba places I visit. Service is friendly every time. Perfect sit-down hangout place or there's two lounge areas for reading/remote working. The store is kind of hard to spot cuz you have to go to the very end of the parking lot but even then the spots are reserved for other stores, so be mindful. read more

Went there for the soft opening on 11/16 and today was the grand opening so it took 1.5 hours from lining up to picking up my drink and my toes nearly froze off, but at least I won a free doughnut at the spin the wheel door prize thing hehe. 11/16 had the tropical fruit tea, I usually try a place's drink at full sweetness to see how I like it but thought it was a bit too sweet. Today was the grand opening so there was a line out the door! This time I tried the creme brulee milk tea which is one of their signature drinks, but this time I did 50% sweet which was a perfect for me. There is actual toasted sugar on top. Because I won a free doughnut, I tried the berry cheesecake flavor mochi doughnut which was yummy. Probably the closest place to get mochi doughnut if you're north of Denver, I usually have to drive to Aurora which is about an hour away from Longmont. Kuluka Boba is hands down one of my favorite boba places! I have been coming since they first opened. (I even sport a Kuluka hat sometimes.) I love the variety of drink options at Kuluka, as well as the Mochi Donuts. The Mochi Donuts are fabulous! Their flavors are constantly changing, which makes it fun too. I tend to love chocolate donuts or berry donuts. This is definitely a luxury though since I expect to spend about $15 to get a donut and a boba tea. I'm a huge fan of their Tropical Fruit Tea too. The last time I went in they were out, so I tried the Dragon Fruit Tea, which was extremely sweet even at 50%. It is so nice that you can actually modify the sweetness levels of the drinks here too. They're pretty sweet, so I tend to do 25%-50% as someone who doesn't really love sweet drinks. I love their Vietnamese Coffee, but I know it is more geared towards someone who loves coffee. Another friend of mine tried it, and she felt the coffee flavor was too strong. Kuluka also carries non-dairy milk, which is great too since there are options for modifying drinks. Overall, I would highly recommend it. I see this place come up on Instagram and TikTok a lot, but it's definitely not overhyped.
