I got the most beautiful puppy from Tropico Kennels! She is the sweetest most cuddly adorable teddy…read morebear! After my companion pup of 12 years passed away, I knew I wanted another pup in our lives. After doing research on different types of breeds I fell in love with the miniature Goldendoodle breed. Little did I know that during Covid everyone wanted to adopt a new puppy! Every breeder in California had long waitlists of over a year! I did find breeders out of state but I did not find the idea of shipping a new puppy ideal. I wanted a local breeder with experience whom I can see face to face. Luckily in my exhaustive search I found Tropico Kennels! Lisa was the only breeder I found that had availability and that did not require for me to sign up for a lengthy waitlist and submit a deposit before the puppy was born. I found it ludicrous to pay a large deposit having no idea what the puppy will even look like! I kept checking the website regularly to see when new pups were being born. The website has a lot of useful and valuable information about the process of adopting and welcoming a new Goldendoodle puppy. Once pictures were posted online of the newborn pup I was interested in, I submitted my interest form. Lisa contacted me right away and I paid my deposit. Lisa worked with me in regards of accepted payment forms for deposit and I found her to be very knowledgeable and friendly. The website provided all the details I needed : I knew exactly when my pup would come home, expected weight, parent info, type (F1B, F1BB etc), shedding info, and the pictures of the newborn puppies. I do wish I had more communication from Lisa in terms of pictures and details as the puppy was growing (I was obsessed) but I knew she was busy and in the end I got my perfect dream puppy. When it was time to pick up my baby, I drove to Lisa's beautiful ranch and her husband was friendly and nice when delivering the dog to me. All in all I would recommend this breeder for anyone looking for a gorgeous Goldendoodle pup!

I'm helping my mom do research because she's wanting a golden doodle pup, I see this place was in…read morethe area and good reviews. I decide to call and a older woman picks up I say hello good morning, who do I have the pleasure in speaking with? (I ask who it is I'm speaking with so that I can properly greet her ) she responds rudely& with an attitude "well you called me so you should know who I am" I say oh ok I do apologize but am I calling to Tropico kennels? She says yea. And then goes off on a rant that she doesn't answer her person phone often because she receives calls of people always trying to buy her house or sell her stupid shit. I said oh ok I understand but that was very unprofessional of you, I do not wish to purchase a dog off a business who doesn't know how to be professional or answer a phone call like a decent human being. So I then hung up. I would never speak to anyone that way regardless of the circumstances. Learn to be respectful and polite. Completely put me off and definitely will NOT EVER be buying a dog from this place. I'm editing my review because after a couple minutes my mom said she wanted to try and call to get information about the dogs. Because again my mom is interested in buying a puppy. So my mom calls says hello good morning I was wanting to get some information about the golden doodle puppies you might have. the same woman answers and says oh ok sure but can I call you back in a couple of minutes? My mom said sure not a problem and then the woman hung up. LITERALLY 1 minute goes by and I receive a message from this woman (I have attached a photo of the message) saying nice try! I did reply and then blocked her. Never in my life have I ever had an encounter like this. The woman then proceeds to call my mom back (I have attached a photo of the phone call as well that she called back) (as you can see she called back & the call lasted 14sec bc she was a COWARD & hung up) and say to her that she is not going to sell us any dog because I called and hung up on her, and that she should tell her daughter to not be a bitch. The woman proceeds to hang up. So I blocked her on both my mother & I's phone. Completely UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE! We were only wanting information about the puppies! Which is why my mom insisted on her trying to call because she really wants a puppy. HORRIBLE experience!

So, it's taken me almost 2yrs to write this review. I found my little love the same way most ppl…read moreare reading this review, by internet searching. I fell in love with a my teacup Morkie, named Buttons (still on site). Cindy was great and answered a million questions as this was to be my first solo dog. Upon conversation, I found out he was not one of 'their' puppies but rather a local breeder they partner with. Based on his age, weight, breed... he was estimated to be 4-5lbs (like other reviewers have said and a price tag to reflect just that). The process was simple with a deposit & payment 'before' picking the puppy up. It was more cost effective for me to fly out & pick him up and was informed a couple days before that he had some bald patches at his final vet visit. I had the option of either moving on or moving forward but called my local vet who reassured me it was likely nothing to be too concerned about. So, I moved forward & went to Cindy's home to grab him. Again, she was more than accommodating and answered all my questions. And oh man, was I in love with that ball of fluff!!! As mentioned, its now been about 2yrs and after deciding to do DNA my dog, I'm going to say that my 4-5lb Morkie is actually a 'Schnoodle', schnauzer/poodle and weighs 14.5lbs at his adult weight. Needless to say I picked his up at what was advertised as 8/9wks but based on his weight at that time, he was prob closer to 6 wks, which breaks my heart for him to have been weaned from mom that early. He is honestly the best natured dog ever and I adore him dearly. However, I did definitely overpay & was mislead on even the actual breed I was buying. I am not unhappy b/c my Truman is one of a kind but I felt the need to inform anyone (especially during these crazy Covid times) that this is a legit breeder... but to please cautious with your decision. For me, a slightly larger dog wasn't that big a deal but the time & effort & funds that I spent to re-buy & replace things for what I thought was to be a smaller dog was real. I also decided to move forward with recently getting Truman a brother through another breeder just a couple weeks ago and I have to say the process was SO much different with FaceTime-ing with the breeder, only putting a deposit down & not paying in full until I picked my new lil man up. I also was able to see pictures of the parents & get their AKC & genetic testing reports. Overall, the process felt more secure... I feel like this time I knew exactly what/who I was getting. That said, I want to reiterate my baby is the best, but not at all what I signed up for.

Where to start... I bought a Morkie from this local breeder several months ago. I found them online…read moreand their website comes up as one of the main sites when searching for "Teacup or Micro Teacup" puppies for sale. Their prices are extremely expensive but because they were local for me and I could see the puppy first (& fell in love with his picture) I met up with the breeder Cindy. The puppy was a Yorkie/Maltese mix so essentially a really cute mutt that would not have any paperwork but these new designer breeds have been becoming popular and I was excited about having a tiny Morkie who I was assured would max out at around 3lbs. He was 1.5lbs when I purchased him for $3,200 and supposedly 12 weeks old and up to date on his shots, however my first concern came when I took him for an immediate check up and was told he had a terrible case of ear mites. We looked at the simple records I was given and saw that he had supposedly been given several treatments already so the vet ordered another round with the same drug he had been given before. He had a major reaction to the drug and almost died and that's when we started questioning his actual age and wondering if he wasn't actually much younger and sold to us so that he appeared to be a micro teacup. Fast forward to now where he is supposedly 6 months old and STILL growing like a weed and weighing in at 7.5lbs. The vet thinks he will end up between 9-10lbs when full grown. Bottom line, we love him, he is a part of our family BUT... He is most definitely not what we were told and most likely was torn away from his mother at way too young of an age. BUYER BEWARE.... Do not purchase a puppy from this breeder!!! AND, they still have a picture of him as a puppy on their website!
