So, it's taken me almost 2yrs to write this review. I found my little love the same way most ppl are reading this review, by internet searching. I fell in love with a my teacup Morkie, named Buttons (still on site). Cindy was great and answered a million questions as this was to be my first solo dog. Upon conversation, I found out he was not one of 'their' puppies but rather a local breeder they partner with. Based on his age, weight, breed... he was estimated to be 4-5lbs (like other reviewers have said and a price tag to reflect just that). The process was simple with a deposit & payment 'before' picking the puppy up. It was more cost effective for me to fly out & pick him up and was informed a couple days before that he had some bald patches at his final vet visit. I had the option of either moving on or moving forward but called my local vet who reassured me it was likely nothing to be too concerned about. So, I moved forward & went to Cindy's home to grab him. Again, she was more than accommodating and answered all my questions. And oh man, was I in love with that ball of fluff!!! As mentioned, its now been about 2yrs and after deciding to do DNA my dog, I'm going to say that my 4-5lb Morkie is actually a 'Schnoodle', schnauzer/poodle and weighs 14.5lbs at his adult weight. Needless to say I picked his up at what was advertised as 8/9wks but based on his weight at that time, he was prob closer to 6 wks, which breaks my heart for him to have been weaned from mom that early. He is honestly the best natured dog ever and I adore him dearly. However, I did definitely overpay & was mislead on even the actual breed I was buying. I am not unhappy b/c my Truman is one of a kind but I felt the need to inform anyone (especially during these crazy Covid times) that this is a legit breeder... but to please cautious with your decision. For me, a slightly larger dog wasn't that big a deal but the time & effort & funds that I spent to re-buy & replace things for what I thought was to be a smaller dog was real. I also decided to move forward with recently getting Truman a brother through another breeder just a couple weeks ago and I have to say the process was SO much different with FaceTime-ing with the breeder, only putting a deposit down & not paying in full until I picked my new lil man up. I also was able to see pictures of the parents & get their AKC & genetic testing reports. Overall, the process felt more secure... I feel like this time I knew exactly what/who I was getting. Where to start... I bought a Morkie from this local breeder several months ago. I found them online and their website comes up as one of the main sites when searching for "Teacup or Micro Teacup" puppies for sale. Their prices are extremely expensive but because they were local for me and I could see the puppy first (& fell in love with his picture) I met up with the breeder Cindy. The puppy was a Yorkie/Maltese mix so essentially a really cute mutt that would not have any paperwork but these new designer breeds have been becoming popular and I was excited about having a tiny Morkie who I was assured would max out at around 3lbs. He was 1.5lbs when I purchased him for $3,200 and supposedly 12 weeks old and up to date on his shots, however my first concern came when I took him for an immediate check up and was told he had a terrible case of ear mites. We looked at the simple records I was given and saw that he had supposedly been given several treatments already so the vet ordered another round with the same drug he had been given before. He had a major reaction to the drug and almost died and that's when we started questioning his actual age and wondering if he wasn't actually much younger and sold to us so that he appeared to be a micro teacup. Fast forward to now where he is supposedly 6 months old and STILL growing like a weed and weighing in at 7.5lbs. The vet thinks he will end up between 9-10lbs when full grown. Bottom line, we love him, he is a part of our family BUT... He is most definitely not what we were told and most likely was torn away from his mother at way too young of an age. BUYER BEWARE.... I bought a Maltipoo from Cindy last January. She said the dog was a teacup and only 12 weeks old. That was a lie because when I took her to the vet, the vet said she was much younger- like 8 weeks. Cindy said she would be 4-5 pounds at most and she is now 7 and still growing. I paid $5400 for this dog because she said it was a teacup. I emailed her and got no response. After 2 years of searching high and low, I ended up getting my best friend "Coco" a teacup Morkie from www.iheartteacups.com. They hands down have the most beautiful puppies. (I even flew out to florida to see another puppy and he ended up looking different than the pictures that were sent to me) I was not very happy about that but I guess that happened because I was meant to have my Coco. He is just a little over 2.5lbs and is the love of my life. He is like my child, and i get to celebrate Mothers day because of him! Honestly the girls at iheartteacups were so kind, honest and helpful. I had a million question, I am one of those customers you want to kill, lol, but they were patient and I couldn't be more grateful for their help. I HIGHLY recommend them if you are picky about the look of your puppy, and have high standards like myself. Not only is he healthy and perfect, but he came potty trained! If you're considering buying a dog from here PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW CAREFULLY. Let me just say if there was a ranking lower than 1 star I would choose it without hesitation. I have had the worst, most painstaking and stressful experience with these "breeders". They are two sisters that run this "operation" Cindy and Jen and they are nasty, rude and selfish women. Save your time because all they care about is money. They don't care about their customers and they certainly don't care about the dogs they sell. Just another breeder in it for the money. Me and my partner purchased a puppy from them and ran into some complications literally within 2-3 hours of purchasing the puppy. We reached out to them about how we had issues keeping the puppy due to issues with our apartment contract we were unaware of. They ignored us for about a day or so until we continued to message them. When they finally answered, me and my partner were SCREAMED AT, and literally insulted (called us stupid and unprepared). They cut us off everytime we tried speaking and would not let us get a single word in. They said now that the dog has been sold it is our problem to deal with and our job to find a new home for the dog (literally they said that I'm not exaggerating). I understand it's part of the contract but this is a living breathing animal we are talking about. This dog could easily be resold to another home and they even told us before we bought the dog that there was a few other families looking at it. Which in hindsight was obviously a lie they made up to try to manipulate us to buy the dog quicker and rush into it. Personally if I were a breeder I would put my puppies before everything because they are the product after all and they are living breathing animal, breeders are supposed to have a love for dogs however this is not the case. They stick a contract in your face with things in it that violate the law of california, such as, the dog has to be taken to a vet within 48 hours in order to be eligible for the one year health guarantee they promote. I spoke with a lawyer and this is completely not according to California law. Also they failed to mention the dog cant be anywhere outside for 5 weeks. PLEASE MARK MY WORDS FROM EXPERIENCE AND DAYS OF STRESS AND FEAR, DO NOT SHOP WITH IHEARTTEACUPS. If you want a healthy dog and a breeder that can help you care for it and isn't so focused on making money, search somewhere else. There is plenty of other breeders in Los Angeles and even around the western US area. We ended up finding a great home for the dog and losing some money. But unlike these "breeders" Jen and Cindy, I care about the life and well being of puppies and they simply DO NOT. Purchased a Maltipoo a year ago. Was told by breeder that the $3900 puppy would be 3.5-4lbs. She turned out to be twice the size! Of course when I asked her why the dog was so big she said I must be feeding her too much. When the puppy arrived it ate as if it was starving! This continued for several weeks. Meanwhile over the next few months the vet found parasites, she had bad eye infections, ear infections and bladder infections. She was at the vet all time and I spent over $3000 in vet bills. I brought all my concerns to the breeder and she basically told me too bad. You would think that she was be apologetic and offer at least a partial refund as I paid for a teacup puppy, not a regular sized dog. Update: We had to let Milo go. He was suffering and not improving after a week at the vet. It is devastating, but we try to stay positive and remind ourselves he's free and happy now. I would never purchase from an unlicensed breeder again. Adorable small pups are available for adoption, I'd rather save a life than purchase from an unlicensed breeder again. Going through this and questioning breeder's, I've learned that shelters truly care about the pets well being. Breeder's do not do background checks to make sure the home is a good fit, they don't take into account that "teacup" is not a breed, they don't care that the majority of their newborn pups will be sick after a few years, they're making good money off of us falling head over heels for a teddy bear face. We were told (and read in articles) that dogs like Milo with this disease SHOULD NOT BE BRED. I do think we found Milo and ended up with him for a reason. To learn all of this and pass the message down to others, and to show us a newfound love we never knew was possible. This place is HORRIBLE and a FRAUD. Absolutely don't go here!! I was interested in a maltipoo. I went to go look at her and fell in love. Cindy told me there were several inquires and I needed to put down a deposit in order to secure her, so I did. The next day I told her I had changed my mind and she said my deposit was nonrefundable. So now she is going to sell the dog for $3400 ( it was posted that on the site and in person she up charged the number.....so shady!) and make an additional profit of $1k from me. She never said it was non-refundable. This place is awful and they lie about all the statics with the puppies. Her place should be shut down. Don't ever buy a dog from here. Our experience with purchasing a dog from iHeartTeacups was a good one. I searched online and found them. Was living in NYC at the time, but our son lived an hour away from them, so he went to see the two dogs we were considering. They let our son hang out in their home with both dogs for a while until he & I felt we had enough information to make a decision. They sent me photos & videos of both dogs repeatedly to help me make a choice - and I am not an easy one to please in that department! They communicated with us as needed, when asked, every time. We flew our son with the dog, rather than ship her, to Manhattan so her transfer would be in the calmest manner possible. We instantly fell in love. Our little yorkie teacup is so sweet. She arrived fully paper-trained and continues to do a wonderful job in that regard. She knew how to play unlike any puppy I have ever seen. She is sooo smart. She even knew how to toss the toy up in the air or off the side of the bed or couch and then go get it herself. We have never seen anything like that before. She played fetch with us from day one. I've read the reviews below, and I am aware everyone has different experiences. However, I would recommend them in a heart beat. I can also share that we were told our girl would likely be 3.5-4lb and she has ended up at 3lb. I needed her to be easily portable for our lifestyle, so this was important to us. It's impossible to predict the size of a dog with complete accuracy. I too, would be very bummed if she was much larger than I was told. But, their predictions were solid as they could be, and they even overshot the guesstimate. I did not feel duped in anyway, and I had the concern to begin with, that I may be sold a dog that grows much larger, so I "get" it. She has normal tendencies as do any Yorkies, for the propensity to get nervous and shake at times. This is something we work to keep in check as we travel and she joins us for the rides. Our vet has guided us and we read her body language so we can meet her needs. Our girl melts hearts everywhere we go...literally no one doesn't make a comment on how adorable and sweet she is.
