In that we were getting very close to the tax return deadline date, I placed a call to the office to inquire as to what the status of our return was as we had not heard from anyone. I was told an email had been sent asking for additional information. Unfortunately, it was sent to an email. I do not use often. However, my response to that was they should have called. Their response to that was they did and our number was disconnected. They were calling an old house number from when we lived in Florida back in 2010; even though they had both of our cell phone numbers, no one ever bothered calling us. over the past month, my husband has left numerous messages for Salim, the owner, to please call as my husband had questions about a possible investment property; the return calls never came. Every time my husband called, he was told oh he'll call you either today or tomorrow, oh, his son got married and he has family visiting but he will get back to you, oh, he didn't call you. He will call you. This went on for over a month . I was also told that Donna, who works in the office, was going to drop our return off at my house, but that it would be late in the evening. I waited up she never came. the next day when I spoke to her after I called the office, she said she had her grandchildren and had taken them out. I told her a phone call would have been nice as I waited up for her. I guess they just don't need the business anymore and don't value customers from when they first got into the business. We shall look elsewhere.

I have worked with Joe and Nick Boscia for several years and regret my decision. Overpromised and…read moreunderdelivered. My sales taxes were consistently paid late, and I had to personally pay the accrued fines which were usually around $600 because I wouldn't find out until I received a government notice. Bookkeeping was not detailed and consistently late. When I asked for reports like P&L I was constantly ignored. There were many other issues but the main reason I'm writing this review is because after 20 months they are still trying to locate my 2021 tax returns. Joe has been non-communicative and Nick has just brushed me off by forwarding the IRS's phone number. Joe finally contacted me last week and said that it was MY mistake and that the IRS had deposited $20,000 into my corporate bank account in 2022. I knew this wasn't true because I closed that bank account at the end of 2021 when I closed my business. They tried to back up this claim with bogus internal reports. Then out of nowhere, Joe told me to meet him in person to pick up a $20,000 check. I guess they noticed their negligence. I emailed Joe back to confirm and didn't hear from him for two days. When I wrote back to see what was going on, Joe changed his tune and said the IRS was still working on my 2021 return. I let them know that this was an unacceptable answer given everything they tried to pull on me before and Joe began to insult and gaslight me saying things like "learn how to read", "this is the first time I'm hearing about all this", "I think you're scared of me" and "I am the boss. I am in control" among other insults that I have screenshotted. Boscia and Boscia were fully paid for their services. I pay for an accountant to keep the IRS away, but Boscia & Boscia wants me to contact the IRS myself. They'll claim that the IRS is backed up and still processing the refund. However, the level of neglect, accountability, and unprofessionalism was enough for me to write this review. Just know what you're getting yourself into with this company. I will continue to update this review.

When they did my taxes for the first time last year, it was the first time I've heard of a bartender getting a few thousand dollars back. Their service was fast, efficient, and overall amazing. Definitely recommend them to anyone thinking about having their taxes done.

Bottom line up front - do not go to this place if you have a complicated tax return (e.g., multiple…read morestates on your W2, residency questions, etc.) multiple state tax returns or if you want an enjoyable customer service experience. File your taxes yourself in an online tax filing system before you waste your time going here - and I really mean waste your time sitting waiting. I found this place based on proximity to my residence as well as the reviews that were posted on various social media websites - most of all were positive. 1. My experience started when I called to schedule an appointment. I asked the receptionist questions about what course of action I should take based on my tax situation. She said in a nasty tone, "So do you want us to prepare or do you need an appointment?" I told her my situation again and asked her what I should do. She didn't know so I told her to schedule an appointment. 2. Upon showing up at my appointment, I wasn't seen until 30 minutes after the scheduled start time. 3. During my appointment, I had to guide the CPA through all of the documents explaining to him what everything was. Even though there was a written form description on the top of form. I felt more like I was the CPA. 4. PRICE! They charged me $500+ to file my return. I literally could have done my taxes myself on TurboTax or TaxSlayer and received better treatment and service. Oh yeah, and they don't provide any sort of audit protection. All you get is a CPA who inputs numbers into a program that does all of the work.

Unfortunately, he retired several years ago and this firm is still banking on his good reputation. I had recent dealings with Mr. Adam Rubin, the new head of this law firm. I'm the executor of the estate of a Sr. Citizen. Levine, Furman & Rubin wrote the deceased's will…read moreand I hired them for the administration of the estate. Levin Furman & Rubin did a great job of administrating the estate with the handicap of the pandemic when the courts, banks, etc. are slower than normal. They provided me with legal guidance to minimize the chances of problems. They also did all of the paperwork (and it's a lot of paperwork)! I did NOT need to babysit them. I did NOT need to ride them. They are professionals, they get their work done on schedule. Because of COVID and I live an hour away from their office, I never physically met them. They were fine via telephone, email and Zoom. While I hope to never be an executor again, if I should be an executor, I would hire them in a heartbeat. On a tangential topic unrelated to legal advise, I strongly recommend having a will, a survivor's report & pre-plan the funerial. If the deceased has a will it will save you time and money with liquidating & distributing the assets. You're going to circumvent a lot of problems with a will. Levine, Furman & Rubin did a fine job with the will. A lot of senior citizens have decades of papers in their house (99% of these are irrelevant). The executor will need to determine the assets and liabilities quickly. You need to have the senior citizen write down all assets (bank account numbers, brokerage accounts, life insurance, etc) and liabilities (loans, HoA, etc). This way the executor will have a neat list to give to the attorney to start the asset recovery process. Concerning pre-planning the funerial, this is a time of high stress & drama and all of your family's problems are going to quickly rise to the surface. Everyone will have their opinion of what the deceased wants. By having it pre-planned with your local funerial home, you will circumvent this drama at a time of high stress. It will be written with the funerial director exactly what the deceased wants and does not want. Now, just let the funerial director execute. I know asking for a will, survivor's report and preplanning is an awkward conversation. My sr. citizen told me "Everything you need is in the filing cabinet." I went into the filing cabinet and all I found was thousands of irrelevant papers including a warranty for a Sears refrigerator from 1977, cancelled checks from the 80's, receipt for a saw from Rickles and a speeding ticket for someone who's been dead for 15 years. I had to be the bad guy and tell the sr. citizen I cannot make the commitment to be the executor if she cannot make the commitment to support me while she's alive. I need a pre-planned funerial to avoid drama and a survivor's report with all information on it (1 piece of paper) so I do not have to waste days trying to find this information. She complied.
