Spa salon is beautifully decorated, clean, and has inviting colors. I was attended to promptly. My appointment was for underarm laser hair removal. The room was noisy due to the machine. During my treatment, there was burnt smell. Apparently it was normal. They have lotion and other items for customers to use after the service, which is a good thought. The service staff was patient with my questions. But I wish they are transparent with the various treatment prices on their website so that I don't have to call or drop in person to ask. read more

Brought 6 treatments from Groupons for underarms and upper arms. I'm Asian with light/medium yellow skin tone dark hair. First appointment I didn't realize it just for consultation, and not sure why after consultation they didn't let me do my first treatment at the same time, but instead scheduled me another day. Which was waste my time already, so I asked them if I can do it the same day but no they were full. First session, My underarms have a bit thick hair because I shaved before. The technician asked me if I had LHR before of course I did. She went on my underarms without asking me if I want the setting more or less. I smelled burn smell when she went over my underarms. Then my upper arms had very thin hair because I barely shaved it, and I could feel the setting was very light I couldn't feel the hot just little warm touch my skin. After the first session, both areas hair growth very slow the first 1-2 weeks but then the speed faster and faster until the second session. I felt the same setting. On my underarms, I felt hurt when the tech went over the area with the burn smell again. Which is not what expected. The reason why I don't like it because I had LHR on my Lower Arms and Full Brazilian at other med spa. I can tell the differences at my first session. Here is my experience with other med spa. The tech did a skin test on my arms and she asked me if I can feel anything. Whenever I said No, she increased the setting. Then, when the setting was at max, there was a cool air come out the same time the laser zip your hair. Which is make you feel less hot and hurt, but the result is amazing. Hair reduced to 20-30% less and grow very slowly just first session. At Kumi, they said after my second session I will see big different. Next day, my underarms hair is still growing. Purchased a Groupon for my daughters hair removal. I have had mine done but at other clinics and you can see results after two treatments. She had six done and you can't really tell. When COVID hit, we were short two appointments and no one answered their phones or left an outgoing message so I just assumed they shut down their business. I saw them recently on Groupon again but I am not going to bother going back since I don't see much progress after six. I am taking her to the places I have done myself. I found Kumi via GROUPON. This was my first experience doing laser hair removal and it's been a smooth process. I drive 30 minutes to get to this location. This facility is very clean and beautiful. I chose to do 8 REMOVAL SESSIONS ON TWO SMALL AREAS (UNDERARMS & UPPER LIP - $108). I saw results after 5 or 6 sessions. I no longer have hair growing under my arms. If there is it's very light like fuzz. The upper lip results haven't been as great. I asked the technician about it and she said the facial hair is more difficult due to how fast it grows back. I am a good candidate because my hair is dark and thick. I've gotten a different technician each time I went. I asked about TIPPING and the options are you can tip after each session or at the very end of your treatment. They will take the money and split it between everyone that worked on you. I just want to start off by saying my review has nothing to do with the quality of the services, I have not received services. This review is based off of customer service!!!! NEW CUSTOMER! I purchased a special they posted on social media for laser hair removal, did the payment options with cherry that they offer, made my first appt over the phone, went to my first appt (beginning of March 2023). They turned me away from my appt due to having some spray tan still left on my skin & said I need to have 2 weeks with no spray tan. So I explained, this is what I do for a living, I'm comfortable doing it with a little left on my skin as I have done this before, & its hard to catch me 2 weeks no spray tan, OR pause my payments or cancel them until i am able to come back when the weather is cooler (October). $600 is a lot of money to have sitting at a business and not being able to use it....... SO I have called to speak to a "supervisor" or whoever, and no "supervisor" has not responded to me the 3 times I have called and spoke with someone, telling me they would pass the message along to a supervisor. I am an esthetician and a spray tan tech, and I have also worked at a med spa for years where I was a laser tech (I have my laser license). I did laser hair removal on clients and was treated my self, all while working it into my spray tanning schedule... So now I have to have my $600 credit at their med spa until the end of the year because they are not willing to work with me on the fact that THEY TURNED ME AWAY from the service I paid for, unlike me unwilling to receive the service. From Ashley Romero- Heard from Kumi from Groupon. Went in for first laser hair removal session of upper lip and chin. I have used candela lasers as a client and as a Laser Hair removal technician since 2015. I am a skin type 2/3 and was first placed on the YAG for treatment. I asked why I wasnt being treated with the Gentle lase 755nm alexandrite . They said it was being used so I needed to wait. I waited for the correct laser but was then treated settings so low that I never felt what was supposed to be felt during a first treatment. ( I was treated in the past with same lasers at 14 j/cm2 , 3ms, 18 spot size for all first time clients for my skin type on the on all first time treatments on my whole body) At Kumi Laser my treatment was using 7 j/cm2, 1.5 Ms and a 15 cm spot size . I did not smell any of my hair singe, I did not feel one single ribber band snap sensation, nor did I have any peri follicular edema after my treatment ( all of those are signs of an effective treatment and I had none of them. The manager who did my consultation who I discussed my concerns with said it was because my hair was too long and that's why the laser feel like anything. Goes to show that she doesn't even know about how an alexandrite laser functions, because if hair was too long I would have definitely felt the laser. I was happy to purchase the CO2 laser for my skin that I was suggested. But since this place doesn't understand how to effectively use and operate the Candella ND Yag and Candella Alexandrite for Laser hair removal why would I left Kumi do an even more advanced procedure on my skin without them knowing laser basics? Had I had an effective first time treatment with them with LHR then I would have trusted them with all of my skin care needs. Over all experience, treatment ineffective and technicians not knowledgeable about laser basics. Treating patients with too low of a laser setting with LHR is safe but can cause stimulation of dormant hair. I just wanted dark course hair treated but am still sitting with it on my face. read more

I have been rescheduled my appointment every single times. Each reschedule delay my appointment for at least 2 weeks. I have been doing facial and laser hair removal with them, they came up many bad excuses such as their therapist family member got COVID or needed to fix some machine.( I confronted the therapist, and the therapist was shocked this bad excuse, her family were perfect healthy)if you can not take that many customers then do not do that. Plan to get my money back when I visit next time. Not worth wasting my time. I bought the head to toe, full body 6 session lifetime warranty package. But before you purchase it, just know it's not lifetime but you will still pay a 15% of that area you want to touch up. Which is still good. But the waiting time they have you wait are a bit long.. if you can schedule for the first appointment of the date if possible so your in and out. But if you come at 11am or later, be prepared to wait way past your appointment. There's been a few times where I was waiting 30mins - 45 mins to be called back.. just in case if anyone was on a time crunch or has other things planned for the day. But overall, cute place. I bought the full body laser hair removal package for my mother and I and within the 2 of us they have called 4 times the day before our appointments to reschedule us because their machines were "down" we always set our appointments up with the front desk to ensure we got in on a Saturday within the recommended 8-10 weeks time frame they say you will see your best results with them constantly cancelling and rescheduling they always push us an extra 3 weeks out so we are definitely not gaining any benefit from the laser removal we've paid for not to mention on my second visit I was zapped with the laser on one of my tattoos which removed part of it and when I reached out to management all they said was "ok we documented it" very unprofessional place read more
