I started with Ika Wakame (squid and seaweed salad), which is a favorite of mine. As expected they use English cucumber as a filler and the portion of squid seemed very stingy. The flavors, however, were excellent. For my entree I had the filet mignon hibachi which was preceded with miso soup and a lettuce salad with ginger dressing. Genuine bad experience. The food itself was okay, but it didn't taste good because of the energy around the service. The restaurant's vibe was solid, but the service completely tanked it. I stepped out briefly and informed the waitress she said I was good yet my table was given away. My food took over an hour to come out. Once it finally arrived, staff came by every five minutes asking if I was okay or needed anything. I understand they were trying to be polite, but it came off more annoying than helpful. Usally would recommend but if you do go don't get the Hispanic server. We got there at 9:30pm and she had an attitude since the beginning sat us down and didn't give us any menus.Then we said we where 6 but she looked at us and yall and said we where only 4 we told we where waiting on two more and she left with an attitude then at 9:50pm came back and said they want me to let yall know we closed at 10:30pm. The whole time we knew what the others want to order never came back for refills or anything then as we are reviving bad service a party comes in at 10pm and they aren't told they close at 10:30pm but yet we where rushed out of there. My daughter and I ate there last night. We both got the chicken teriyaki bento box. Her chicken had a hair on it that was very obvious it'd been cooked with it, it hadn't just fell onto the plate. We were very discreet when telling the waitress. We didn't want to make a huge ordeal about as the place was full. The waitress offered to replace it but she declined and said she'd just eat the rice and sushi since it's cooked separately. She didn't eat any of the chicken or vegetables since they're cooked together. When we got the bill it hadn't been adjusted so I asked the waitresses about it since she couldn't eat the most important and expensive part. A guy came to the table saying he'd just charge for a vegetable bento box. It's ONLY $2 cheaper!!!! She couldn't even eat the vegetables because the hair was cooked in with the main dish!!!! I cannot believe all the great reviews. We came here specifically because of the reviews and then I had to triple check that we came to the right place. We had two waitresses and both were so incredibly rude. The food was subpar at best. But mostly the waitresses were just rude. We will never be back. I ordered two sushi rolls, rice, soup, and salad. I was given all food but my rice. I waited well over twenty minutes for my rice and the waitress was nowhere to be seen. I decided I could do without the rice but was charged for it anyway. I asked for the bill to be corrected but they refused, asked if I wanted the rice for there or to-go, disappeared and came back with the rice. I was beyond livid and insisted on not paying for it and they just walked away and didn't come back until I put my debit card on the table. Never in my life did I think I would be held hostage by someone and forced to by something I DID NOT USE or even want. Absolutely ridiculous. This experience was so unbelievable that few people believe it even happened, but I assure you that it most definitely did. I will NEVER do business with these freaks ever again. Steer clear of this shit fest and just go to Fuji. Is Kumo better? Yes. Is it worth the hassle you're going to go through and the markup? Absolutely not. read more

Large portion sizes, really tasteful hibachi with appropriately cooked veggies and the sushi was top notch. Loved the Chattanooga roll (will always order that), spicy tuna and Volcano roll (nothing special just good) and the New roll and Wonderful roll were really good also. I will definitely be back. I'm not changing my review. This is one of the consistently better spots to eat in all of Dalton. They have recently opened an attached dinning area. So now there is ample seating. You don't have to worry about hitting them during their peaks and not having seat. read more

Ever since I started eating here I fell in love. The food taste amazing and is set to a good price. The service is even better and quick you get your food fast with great service and very nice workers. I know the manager well since I've been eating there for so long and she is very kind and very hardworking. Every time you walk In there you will probably see the manager doing some type of work. Dammit, Kumo. You're slipping. I've eaten in and ordered to-go. I've had dim sum, soups, bento, sushi and hibachi. Practically everything on the menu has passed my plate. That's because they're one of a few places that offers fresh-ish food on what I loving refer to as Dalton's Grease Mile. You can expect your typical hibachi fare (without the floor show, thank god). And it is decently good. Dim sum is of the pre-packaged variety and likely the salads. They have the typical soups and added hot & sour due to demand. It's not bad. It's more like sour egg drop with bean curd. However, the sushi is lacking and not at all their strength. (Listen, I get it. It's not that I expect Jiro in Dalton. But I do expect effort.) Most times it's barely holding together and seems to fall apart. I wound up eating my last order like a poke bowl since everything fell apart. I think they must have a new fish supplier, too, since I'm finding myself questioning the freshness more than I used too. It's still odor free, but the color is a bit off and I can taste the freezer. Blech. They unfortunately added salt to my wound of disappointment. I checked my bank account a few days later and realized they charged me $2 more than the receipt I signed. I know they get slammed during lunch, but they need to pay attention. Takeaways: Order hibachi. Skip the sushi. Watch your wallet. read more
