I think it's kind of funny that TKK fried chicken has a 2.5 star average on here and KFT has four stars, but I digress. It's the same company although I'm assuming people are leaving reviews here for the bubble tea more so than the chicken. I wanted a quick lunch and it turned out I had a free bubble tea reward in my KFT app, so that enticed me in today. I always get the almond milk tea with (lychee jellies, but they call it nata jelly), usually from the Sterling Heights location, and it's always delicious. The one I got today was just as delicious. The TKK chicken I ordered was a combo and it came with their kiwi punch drink, I haven't tried it yet but it looks pretty good. Be aware that when you're redeeming a free bubble tea on the app with points, it's only valid for the base tea. I still had to pay the $0.70 or so to get the nata jelly in it. If you're hungry, I do recommend the chicken there as well and the cheese curds, they were all delicious as was the biscuit. Overall this is a convenient location for me so I will be back again at some point. read more

Their limited Princess Peach peach strawberry slush was the smoothest, creamiest slush they have ever made at this location. It was a ten out of ten delicious. It came with this cute straw topper that looked like her crown, super adorable. I also enjoyed their peach green tea with the lychee jellies, it was very good. I am a little sad, on the day we came I found of they got rid of their kwakwa baos just the day before. I was so sad, I really wanted one. They told me they might come out with bao bites. I was also told they are getting rid of the curly fries and might get some sort of chips. I will be excited if they do come out with some sort of bao, but I was very sad that I missed it by only 24 hours. read more

I'm a big fan of Kung Fu Tea and very excited that a new location opened up on Telegraph! I find myself driving past this place often, even though it's located half an hour away from my house and having a KFT in Rochester, so I appreciate its convenient location for my daily/weekly travels! This Kung Fu Tea also contains a TKK Chicken inside for all your Korean fried chicken cravings and this TKK menu seems a lot more in depth than the Rochester location! Seems like every time they open a new KFT location, they are improving on its prior location, which I appreciate from an innovation standpoint! You can order online and pick up in store, order from one of their kiosks located at the front of the store, or order at the counter. I'd recommend ordering beforehand, especially if you're placing an order for some fried chicken too as the wait will get longer for that, but otherwise, you're good to go either way! Great quick service, and delicious food and drinks. Kung Fu Tea serves so many different options of tea - but my favorite is there series of milk teas. You can determine what type or types of bubbles you want in your tea. I highly recommend the mango popping bubbles - each one like a tiny gusher. They also serve fried chicken here. While I wouldn't come exclusively for the chicken in the way that I would come exclusively for the tea, if you're here for the tea you might as well try the chicken. It's crispy and it comes in small pieces, which I personally like because it makes the crunch-to-chicken ratio just right. The sauces that they serve on the side are great. The honey they have here (for your tea, or chicken, or both) is especially tasty. read more

The drinks here get a million stars! I would totally go back for the drinks. ... but the food? Not so much. The chicken was not special. I loved the sauce though? So there's that. Fries? Again, not special. The corn? Special. Definitely special. So special I could only eat two bites because the taste smelled like a farm. I was truly looking forward to it because it reminded me of "corn in a cup" that's sold outside grocery stores in Texas. But alas, this was nothing like that. And clearly I'm getting old because I didn't eat it even though I paid for it. It was absolutely awful. I wish there were more food options, even if it's just packaged snacks to grab with my delicious drink. Specifically because I went with children and the chicken was fresh so it was hot, which ultimately caused me to uncomfortably shred it with my fingers. This is honestly one of the better Kung Fu Teas for the area in terms of Boba quality only. They do honey soak the boba so it gets a little burst of sweetness and a more qq outer coating reminiscent of this style. They do undercook the boba a tad. I only typically get milk teas which are pretty much standardized across all KFTs. My main problem with this location is that their employees lie. I ordered a Purple Yam Latte and after a 15 minute wait, with no drink orders ahead of me, I was told that they didn't have it at this store. They said it would be available next week. I waited two weeks, called the store, and they verified over the phone that they now had the drink. Drove 30 minutes to get there and they said they "ran out". Seriously? Awesome Kung Fu Tea location! We usually stop by here while passing through for one of their delicious classic milk teas with bubbles. I love that customers have the ability to customize the sugar and ice level in their drinks. I usually get less ice with no sugar as the syrup that the bubbles soak in is already pretty sugary in my opinion and sweet enough to carry through the rest of my beverage. While there are many fried chicken places, none of them compare to the chicken at Kung Fu Tea in my honest opinion. And not every Kung Fu Tea location has fried chicken which makes this store very special! The chicken comes out consistently hot, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. We used to have it near where I live in San Francisco Bay Area but no, we don't have it anymore, which is super sad to me because I think they serve one of the most delicious milk tea drink, like, ever! Their milk tea has always been super tasty and creamy, and their boba typically would be super spot on. From this specific store, I thought their Sesame Oolong Milk Tea was as tasty as I had expected. Although, I felt like the black sesame flavor was kinda lost and overpowered by the oolong tea, so I thought the black sesame flavor could've been made stronger. And the boba was super perfectly sweetened. However, the texture of the boba was a bit chewier than I'd like; I thought they could be slightly softer. My husband and I came in to try this new Kung Fu Tea location, expecting the same great drinks we love at other locations, only to find a bomb HALAL chicken shop intertwined with the Kung Fu Tea franchise. The employees were absolutely awesome, explaining everything patiently, letting us know it's halal and suggesting a new drink for us to try (Rosehip pineapple with nata jelly) which is my new go to! It's refreshing and the perfect summer drink! The place is beautifully decorated. I was too full to try the chicken but my husband tried the crispy chicken sandwich and absolutely raves about it! I can't wait to come back and try the food here. It's so convenient that it's also a Kung Fu Tea. I look forward to them opening other locations like this! This location has gone downhill within a year of opening. The staff they have can't seem to follow simple drink instructions because they are so inconsistent. Sometimes drinks are so sugary we can't drink them. Other times the drinks have literally no sugar at all. They never apologize.. drinks always take longer than quoted online using the app. The last 2 times we visited this location, it smelled like a Porta potty inside. Just a very foul and offensive smell. I don't know if something is wrong with their drains and it's leaking off gas's into the establishment or what? You guys have lost two customers.. read more

This was the worst Taro boba smoothie I have ever had. It tasted like straight butter. It was disgusting. I threw the whole thing away when I got home. My husband had the strawberry milk slush with boba and it was so gross and artificial tasting. Plus, when they gave it to him the lid wasn't on all the way and he got it all over his hands. When he tried putting the straw in it spilled all over the table. Luckily they made him a new one when they saw that happen. Plus, it smelled so bad in there. I told my husband it smelled like someone took a massive crap and tried spraying air freshener to cover the smell. I see from other reviews I'm not the only one who noticed the smell. The boba tea side is wonderful! Customizable and tasty. The chicken side is overpriced and quite lackluster. If you're going for tea, I highly recommend it. If you're going for chicken, it's overpriced and bland. I got my daughter a five piece tender, and honestly they were very very small and the size of biggest.
