Really cute spot! I would classify this place as a Japanese products store that serves…read morecoffee/tea/boba. They had stationery (e.g. notebooks and cards), Japanese and Korean makeup, a lot of gachapon machines, and other anime merchandise. We had a nice time browsing! The makeup section was a nice surprise. The gachapon is a bit expensive (1 token is like $2 and the machines require like 4 or 5 tokens depending on the toy) but I don't know the going rate for gachapon so maybe that's standard pricing? The drinks area is at the back of the store and there is ample seating to the side. The employee was friendly. I ordered a milk tea which was pleasant, not the best I've had but the price was very reasonable. The tapioca was interesting, irregularly shaped and chewy, and the core was a bit harder than the rest of it. My friend enjoyed her matcha. I can see this being a nice place to bring your sushi/bento from One World Market next door, grab a drink, and hang out!

Some Japanese items, so many Manga figurines and key chain charms and stickers too. The slippers and sleep gear actually looks comfortable. Lots of Japanese makeup here too. The green tea is ok. Service is quick and fast. The tapioca is so, doesn't taste ad chewy as I had hoped. The Mango bubble and mango tea is ok.

He explained everything to us and even gave suggestions. I got the ube milk with boba and it was unbelievable. I will be getting this again! My husband got lemonade with strawberry puree and we both thought it was amazing as well. They even have a DIY ramen bar which I thought was awesome and will be trying next time we go. The store was very clean and inviting and just a really great atmosphere. We will be back!

I came here today while waiting to pick a friend up from work. I saw good reviews on yelp and…read morethought I should give it a try though I was weary (I can usually tell a good boba shop just from the pictures online). When I walked in, it seemed pretty bare but I like that there was spaced out seating. Other than that, the ambience is definitely lacking. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee and it was... not a Vietnamese coffee. Vietnamese coffee is meant to have a strong flavor and have a rich but subtle sweetness from the sweetened condensed milk. What I got was poor quality black coffee with too much sweet creamer. I checked out the ramen bar just to see what it was but it was also lacking. There were many options and I didn't see any toppings of any kind (I'm think they were refrigerated but it would have been nice to have them displayed in a fridge next to the area; maybe it was and I missed it).. I can also tell they are attempting to go for a third space type of vibe with board games and things but the space they have created isn't inviting enough to uphold that environment. As far as the service goes, he was very kind and patient which goes a long way. I asked him if he could just add a little more coffee so it wasn't as sweet and he said that he could just remake it for me and that he wanted me to enjoy my drink. It was far above what I expected and I really respect that. The drink was again, not very good because it just wasn't Vietnamese coffee, but the service was very thoughtful. I just didn't feel right asking him to make a whole other drink I would like because I didn't like the one I had (I'm not a Karen lol). I'm sure other fruity drinks or the dalgona coffee is better that what I had and I just happened to choose poorly off the menu, but I do strongly believe businesses shouldn't just add popular drinks to their menu to bring people in but focus strongly on what they are good at. It's always better to have a small menu of well curated and crafted drinks than a large menu of drink with some of them not quite perfected. With that being said, I probably won't be back but I hope they can find what they are best at, hone in on it, and grow a lot! I see huge potential in this store being quite popular if they make a few changes. Best wishes to them!

Dutch Girl Donuts is more than just a donut shop -- it's a straight-up Detroit institution. If…read moreyou're from here, you already know. That bright sign on Woodward isn't just a place to grab a dozen; it's part of the city's DNA. Growing up, my grandmother went there all the time. And when I say all the time, I mean ALL the time. Weekends, random afternoons, "just because" mornings -- Dutch Girl was the move. Some of my favorite childhood memories are walking in and being hit with that sweet, warm smell of fresh donuts and seeing the cases stacked with every kind you could imagine. It felt like magic as a kid. The donuts themselves? Classic, no-frills, done-right Detroit goodness. Soft, fresh, and generously glazed or filled -- the kind of donuts that don't try to be trendy or over-the-top. They don't need to. They've been holding it down for generations. That's the beauty of a true staple: consistency. You always knew exactly what you were getting, and it was always good. If I'm being honest, the only reason I'm not rushing there now is because I had SO many of their donuts growing up that I might have maxed out my lifetime quota . When you've had that much of something, you need a little break. But that doesn't take away from what they are to the city. Dutch Girl Donuts represents Detroit pride -- resilience, tradition, and community. It's one of those places that connects generations. My grandmother loved it, I grew up on it, and new families are still making memories there today. In a city that's all about loyalty and roots, Dutch Girl stands tall. Forever a Detroit classic.

Unfortunately the customer service wasn't as great as I remember. My partner walked in, and there was no greeting and basically no acknowledgment. The lady was just on her cell phone the entire time he was trying to order. I used to come here a lot with my best friend and I'll be back for more donuts . We used to love calling them in advance so they could be very fresh w/o a wait.
