I used to live in Nottingham, MD and I'm pretty sure Kung Fu Tea wasn't around. But as soon as I moved, IT moved in. I'm glad there's a Kung Fu Tea now because even though driving 30 mins to get it wasn't too bad, 5 mins is WAAY better. Haha. I've been consuming boba tea since I can remember, but Kung Fu Tea is my preferred chain. While visiting, I ordered one of my favorites, which is Matcha Milk Tea w/ Tapioca Pearls/Boba. If you are a fan of Matcha or Matcha Fraps, you will LOVE this. I know I do. It's not overly sweet as you can control the milk and sugar level now, which is pretty cool. My husband ordered the Mocha w/ Coffee Popping Boba & Tapioca Pearls/Boba. Since it was late morning-afternoon, he wanted some coffee and decided to try this. I tried it myself and it's pretty good for a coffee. It's still coffee, but with benefits? Haha does that make sense? Anyways. Love that you can mix and match, add variety of toppings, milk options, flavor, slush or tea, and they have seasonal drinks as well! I have tried some, have my favorites and non-favorites. But the employees are super friendly, they give good suggestions if you've never had a boba (where have you been?! jk!) and suggest what drinks you may like. Been here more than the number of my check-ins recorded. Every time we come to this place I am afraid an ingredient will be missing. Right now they're out-of-stock of Hershey's, last time they were out of bubbles (when it's a boba place), one time I was charged with an online order of milk cap (I paid for it but there was none when I picked my order).... They're just out of a thing or some things every time we go there. Plus, they never got my milk cap order right so I stopped ordering it from this location. Besides my previous review of the employees serving teenagers first, I don't know what else can I say about this location. So I just had to make my 3-star a one. I'll change my route the next time I want bubbles, just to not order from this location. :( read more

This has to be the worst Kung Fu Tea ever. Am I glad that there are finally boba shops available in the White Marsh area? Yes, but I'm also disappointed because this place is horribly run. Unlike other KFT locations, the drinks are incredibly inconsistent -- you can go here two days in a row, order the same exact drink, and get two totally different outcomes. With few exceptions, the workers here are disengaged and unprofessional. My last time here, there was a long line of customers waiting to place their order with the cashier. All of a sudden, a group of three friends/classmates of the cashier walked in and the cashier allowed them to cut every single person in line to place their orders while they all stood around laughing and chatting, holding up the line for all of us who had been standing there waiting. Ugh. And finally - I have literally NEVER been here when they are not out of stock of at least three different drinks/toppings. See my pics for an example of the post-it notes they paste by the cash register to alert customers of out of stock items. What's off to me is that the place doesn't have a menu board or any display of what you can order. You have to step up to the counter to see a menu. Really great boba spot! Due to COVID it is take out only for now. When we went there were two employees there and both were very friendly! They were out of yogurt drinks, but had a sign to tell people this and the employees also told us. The inside was very clean and both employees had masks on and a sign on the door says masks are required, which is great! Pretty average kung fu tea . I've been to multiple locations. Workers were friendly. My drink came out quickly. I ordered the passion fruit green tea with boba , my go to drink from kft, so I know what it should taste like and this didn't taste right. My drink was too bitter and tasted artificial. The boba texture was inconsistent, some were too soft and mushy and some were hard like rubber. Because they're new I'll give them some slack but I hope they get better because this is the closet kft to me. They do accept card. read more

Walked in on a Saturday afternoon. There seemed to be a lot of people waiting around for their orders. Tried to order Thai Tea, they were out. Tried to order Grapefruit yogurt, they were out. We placed our backup orders. While we were waiting, we overheard another customer come in who tried to order a lychee tea, they were out. Took our order longer than usual to come out as well, even though there were three people working. Also, my wife asked for no sugar in her Taro tea, which was ignored. Day 2 I love this place. The Coconut Milk Tea is my favorite I haven't tried any other flavor yet. The price is affordable which makes me so happy. I'm not really sure why they have such good reviews. I will give them the fact that their drinks are good, but their service isn't great. They're almost always out of stuff. There hasn't been a single time I've been able to get all my drinks the way I ordered them through the app because they're just constantly out of stuff and we always have to make substitutions - sometimes changing the whole drink. There is a serious product ordering issue at this location that needs to be fixed, or they should at least fix the app so you can't order stuff that they're out of. read more

Worst service! Bunch of kids running the place. The wait to receive your drink is about 45 minutes and when you get your drink, it's not made right. I had asked them to remake my mango slush because they added mango jelly into my slush when I told them that I just wanted straight slush without any jelly. When I asked them to remake it, they asked if they can just remove it. What kind of question is that?! So I told them to remake it and instead, they made it without any flavor. read more

I've ordered multiple teas from KFT ranging from fruit/classic teas, milk teas, and their slushes. I really like the fruit teas and slushes..the milk teas I feel they're seeping the tea too long because it can have a strange aftertaste, which at other KFT locations I don't have that issue. They are training a lot of new baristas, so there can be a little bit of a wait if you get someone new making your tea. The staff is really friendly and will answer any questions you have in mind. I had a craving for some Bubble Tea and happened to be in the area. I drove by with my fingers crossed that they'd be open for at least curbside pick up and they were actually open for walk ins! I got a large Original Wow Milk Drink, and I got extra bubbles in mine. It was so good. The extra bubbles is not my favorite go to! I drive 45 minutes to kungfu tea white marsh location because they're drinks are amazing, but unfortunately they're staff is young, careless and irresponsible. Google say's they are open 11-8pm and just the other day I went and they where closing up and I told them what google said and what their door said and how long I drove for their business and they refused to take my order. I stopped going to KungFu tea based on a terrible experience I had at their downtown silver spring franchise (movie theater location). However, I was amidst Baltimore and it was Easter Sunday and I desperately needed a good green tea fix. I ordered an almond black tea and discovered they used a syrup sweetener (flavor). Not my style so I asked for a different tea. The manager went out of his way to make me not one but TWO new teas with different variations of milk/tea flavor to best meet my almond black tea desire. Talk about going the extra mile! Truly a great representation of a location that took a franchise and really poured (no pun), their heart and soul into customer service! 5 outstanding stars. This kft location is pretty good so far. Free parking and it's right across the mall. The workers are nice and the drinks are good, even though they ran out of boba when I went. They only accept cash for now because their card reader isn't working so bring cash. Other than that, this location is clean and spacious and overall a nice boba shop for hanging out. read more
