I love this place. I got the coffee milk tea. It was delicious. It was a weekday so no lines tea came out pretty quick and the girl taking our order was friendly. Cute little place inside the mall.

The ladies were very patient and helpful as I tried to figure out what to order. I ended up with Winter Melon Tea with Mango Jelly. It was a bit too sweet, but that's ok because you can choose your sweetness level. Next time I'll know to ask for "less sweet" My only complaint was that even though they had about 5 different teas, they wouldn't really let me customize the flavor because it wasn't a choice on the menu. I'll still go back because they have a great selection of beverages.

Ordered the strawberry lemonade! It was very refreshing! Staff were super nice and friendly. Fast service on a Monday afternoon and no line. Yes- please! The next time your at Destiny USA- you gotta grab a boba, milk tea or lemonade from Kung Fu tea!

Kung Fu Tea is a franchised brand with plenty of locations around the US - as well as locations in Australia, Canada, and Vietnam. Admittedly, I'm usually a bit of a snob about chain locations, but the Kung Fu Tea location in Destiny USA is pretty top notch for a chain location. Kung Fu Tea isn't some artisan bubble tea place, so it's good to keep your expectations in check... but their teas are tasty AND you can customize your bubble tea for your tastes (plus, they have special flavors during various seasons). Some places make bubble teas that are way too sweet for me, for example, or they fill them up with ice and leave minimal room for actual tea and boba. Kung Fu Tea's ordering process allows you to customize for those tastes... and I always get my tea orders with less sugar and less ice. Every time I've ordered tea from this location, the taste is just what I'm looking for. Also, this location specifically is exceedingly quick at filling drink orders (which, considering there's a sizable line pretty much 9 times out of 10? The prompt service definitely helps) AND the prices are reasonable. TL;DR Dependable stop for bubble tea, especially when wandering through Destiny USA for some shopping. My tea orders have always tasted as expected, and the service is VERY quick.

Located on the second floor of Destiny USA close to Michael's craft supply store, this bubble tea joint was a must visit over my labor day weekend. All summer I've been getting acquainted with the deliciously sweet, milky and bubbly concoctions but they always been from large franchises. Unfortunately I have not tried these in Asia and can't tell if it's the "real deal", but Kung Fu Tea looked successful judging by the amount of people waiting in line. I got the honey milk tea with pearls and my partner got the coffee milk tea. Service was speedy, drinks were made to our specifications however what disappointed me the most was the lack of flavored milk tea options. Compared to other places, Kung Fu does not offer many fruity variety of their milk teas. I was hoping for exotic flavors like mango or lychee but the menu is limited. I also thought that they were not very generous with the amount of bubbles scooped into my tea and these pearls were too soft. I understand there are cooked in batches throughout the day so it could just be a fluke. It should be noted that all their milk teas are made with non-dairy milk so this can be a plus for anyone with diet restrictions. If I was local I would definitely come back and try more options- for anyone considering bubble tea, or just iced tea, I say give it a shot, it's a fun treat but be careful it can get addicting! I've never had a drink with bubbles before so I tried it for the first time & I actually liked it. I ordered the taro mik tea drink and it was pretty tasty. I recommend this drink if it's your first time here. I also tried my daughter's drink which was the taro slush drink with bubbles but that was way too sweet. I think I would have to ask for half sweet next time. Overall, I was pleased with my drink & the workers were fast & efficient. I will definitely be back.

So I decided to come back and try again! I got the rosehip milk tea, which is my favorite, and it was delicious. I tried to order with less sugar but it wasn't an option so I got regular. Still too much sugar for a bubble tea, overly sweetened. But it was delicious nonetheless. I'd suggest creating more options in terms of how much sugar to add, because other locations have options like more or less sugar. Also could've added more Boba, considering I got a large and there was a tiny bit of Boba

If it were owned by cows, and was a manure processing plant, it'd be Dung Fu Tea. But if that were the case, I think it'd be pretty gross - like, almost as gross as swimming in the Onondaga Lake without a radiation suit on. OK, not almost as gross as that. But anyway. Let's mooooooove right along with this review. What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! Which milk teas are best: Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! Generally speaking, Kung Fu Tea scores 5, but it's usually a low 5, considering that it's a massive international corporate chain, whose milk teas don't match up to the best chains: Sharetea, Gong Cha and Coco. However, they're still really good, and the fruit teas here are among the best. Especially the lemon black tea which absolutely rocks my world. The Milk Teas that do stand alongside any of the best chains, though, are the Honey Oolong and the Oolong. The Honey Milk Tea is pretty good too. But always get Black Teas, not Green Teas. They're just better. In my opinion anyway. And getting these teas hot can really change the game on a winter's day. It makes the tapioca balls hot too. The Honey Oolong in particular is sensational when hot. This particular location, hidden deep inside the former Carousel Mall (now known as Destiny USA which sounds like a stripper), has really wonderful service - and fast as well, which makes a change from the slow locations in Buffalo and Cleveland. I also noticed that all of the employees are exceptionally tall. Maybe that's what happens to you when you eat lots of tapioca? (Eats More Tapioca) My lemon teas here were lovely (twice) and next time I'm in SYR I'll stop by and give one of their hot (if winter) or cold (if not) milk teas a try. Anyway let's get some food to go with our Bubble Teas. I'm feeling kung-ry.

This is the best bubble tea i every had and trust me i tried many bubble tea's before and this is by far the best. The 2 Flavors i get is honey dew or toro. So i went with the toro with the honey milk this was very good I would definitely try this place again the staff was super friendly aswell.

I'm so excited that more bubble tea has come to the Syracuse area! if you've never had it before, now is the time to try! KFT is a popular bubble tea chain with many bubble tea options in terms of flavors, teas, sugar customizations, types and more! From the classics (plain milk black or green tea) to interesting slushes or other flavors (saw something about oreo) you are sure to find something you like here! The tapioca bubbles are excellent here and are quite sweet, so if you aren't sweet tooth, consider getting 70% or 50% sugar - and it will still be sweet. Of note, bubbles are $0.50 extra, and the smallest size is a "medium" - their bubble tea is a little bit pricey so be prepared to spend somewhere near $4 minimum on your drink The cafe is cute, clean, and modern. Service is friendly but a little slow as they're just getting started. I think eventually they'll be a fast and efficient well oiled machine that you find in their cafes elsewhere :)

No bathroom, i guess maybe not necessary since it's inside the mall. The easiest way to find this is going to dicks sporting goods, it's across from it. Has seating inside. Accepts cards, no minimum purchase required. The fastest and most efficient kung fu tea i have been to. Knocked down a star because it is inside the mall, not the easiest to get to since destiny place is hard to find parking. Also located on a second floor. Would not recommend coming here to study, not conducive for that. Not sure if this place has wifi, but most kung fu tea does.

I ordered "green tea with milk" and the front desk gave me non-dietary creamer which contains no milk. When I pointed this out, they asked me to buy another one and told me all the bubble tea shop in the states sell "non-dietary creamer" when they say "milk tea". I refused to buy another one because I ordered "milk" in the first place. Moreover, in China, almost all the milk in milk tea actually can be replaced with real MILK. I don't drink non-dietary creamer personally and was told non-dietary creamer is bad for health in high school from my friend, so I put that so-called "milk tea" back. I'm sorry if I'm being a Karen. Just wondering if all natives actually love non-dietary creamer

After returning to upstate NY for a wedding I had to stop at the famous Destiny USA. My girlfriend had never been to this place so I had to show off a local favorite. She was asking nonstop for a milkshake so while we were headed back to Johnny Rockets we spotted this place and glanced over the menu. I am a sucker for matcha as she is taro. Well these had to have been the best frozen matcha and taro beverages we have ever tasted. The crew was very accommodating in taking out and adding ingredients to the beverage. They also had a few unique snacks at checkout which included my beloved green tea KitKat bars however I didn't get to try the rare green tea Pocky. Felt too full and didn't want to bring it on the plane. Excellent place though and very highly recommended. read more

Incredibly clean, friendly staff, excellent and clear menu. I've seen people with laptops doing work at their tables or on the bar, I'm reluctant to try it for myself because it's in a particularly loud section of the mall, but maybe in the future! Staff is very knowledgeable and they were able to easily explain parts of the menu that I was unfamiliar with, definitely getting the milk strike next time! My go to drink is the coconut milk tea with bubbles, but mostly anything here will be good! The line can get long as it takes a few minutes to make each drink and sometimes they can get backed up but I don't think I've ever waited more than 7-8 mins for a drink. read more

Great place in a convenient location inside the Syracuse mall. It was so hot and I needed a refreshing non alcoholic beverage to cool down. I was surprised to see that a Kung Fu Tea had opened up. Normally in upstate NY I expect to go to Dunken Donut or something to get a quick cold drink. You can customize your drink here so that it isn't too sweet or too bitter and they have a wide variety of flavors and selections (though I normally just go with the kung fu milk tea) and you don't have to get bubble tea. The reason it is called bubble tea though is because of the tapioca which doesn't have any flavor. Its just chewy and I guess mixes with the flavor of the drink. I personally don't order my drink with the tapioca, it makes no flavor change in my opinion. All in all, really happy that they opened up a bubble tea here in the Destiny USA shopping mall so that I don't have to drink watered down ice coffee elsewhere and hope that they don't add too much sugar despite my request. read more

I've been waiting for this place to open ever since I saw it was announced a few months ago and I guess I wasn't alone because the lines were huge! I got a Kung Fu Tea (hot) with boboa or tapioca bubbles. I like my drinks sweet but I know plenty of people who don't, so make sure to specify how much sugar you want in your drink when you order. You can also specify how much ice you want in your drink and you can choose a variety of different toppings to add to the drink. All this is clearly laid out on their menu so you can create your own customized drink. read more

Love getting a Tarro shake bubble tea every time I get to the mall! Some places shakes aren't sweet enough or don't have enough flavor these are perfect! Also their menu has a large selection I have been trying a few other drinks lately. Winter Melon Milk tea with green tea bubbles and Coffee Shake with coffee bubbles and some strange grapefruit thing I can't remember it but it was refreshing. I love it when my kids come with me because then everyone gets something different and we can share and try new things. The line usually goes fast and it's not usually too long of a wait for my drinks. read more

Reasonable prices, great variety and very nice quality boba (and a generous amount). A couple of times recently, when I have gone close to opening, they have only had mini boba available versus the regular size, and I was told this is normal for those hours. It's still good, but not exactly what I'm looking for and I wish they would note if their menu/availability changes based on the time of day. For a bubble tea place to routinely not offer what is pretty much their signature item is strange. read more

I can't really say anything that hasn't already been said outside of, "They now have popping bubbles!" They are easier to eat because you don't really have to chew as much. There are so many choices, I would be surprised if not everyone could find something they liked here! read more

Overrated bubble tea place in which the only reason why I go here is if I'm really craving bubble tea and this is the only place available. The price is reasonable but to be honest I don't get all the hype... I once got the Mango Green Tea and it legit tasted like sad room temperature water so idk if I'll ever get it again or if the place just sucked. read more

Bless there is a Kung Fu here. Tastes the same quality as back home in Cali. They make a pretty good passion fruit green tea. I'm a more basic tea drinker that prefers plain tea flavors, so this one hits the spot. Will definitely come here more often when given the opportunity to! read more

Considering the fact that it opened recently, the staff behind the register are always friendly. However the tea staff seems a little overwhelmed with the flow even when its not busy. I would really really appreciate to see more original boba flavors being incorporated. I am a HUGE milk tea fan and I think the Taro its not good at all. Having said that I think the store is very strategically located it is definitely a mine of gold. read more

It was my first visit there in Syracuse's mall, and boy was it good! I had a couple samples of their tea, and I could tell that the drink I've just ordered would be paradise! I was correct as is; sipping my Mango Slush with their bubbles and pudding at the bottom. Those yummy gooey delights made me enjoy every sip! I drank it to the very last drop. There were a lot more whacky, creative, and tasty looking teas and drinks that I simply must try the next time I visit. The service was perfect, and the decorations were so fascinating! I loved going to kung fu tea, and I highly suggest for you tea/fancy or neat drink/ slush lovers to try this place!!! read more

Really 4.5 stars. I usually get matcha red bean slushie no sugar - very good, still a bit sweet. Today i opted for no sugar coffee slushie. First, they remade it themselves twice and then had the head woman make it. Definitely no sugar, which is what i wanted, but very weak flavor and large ice chunks so not well blended. I won't get this flavor again. Obviously they had issues with this 'mix.' read more

Coconut flavored milk tea with bubbles was amazing. I had no idea KF Tea existed, and I've wanted to know a good place for milk bubble tea in the area for a while now. My friends and I got teas, sat back and played a few friendly games of UNO here last weekend. It was great, would definitely recommend. read more

Service is great and this shop appears to be brand new. I specified exactly how much sugar I wanted and exactly how much ice I wanted and they got it right to the dot. Plus the flavors were amazing. I think this is the best bubble tea chain. The tea that they use is fairly strong and authentic tasting unlike some other boba chains that I've been to. I would definitely recommend coming here for both bubble tea connoisseur and non-boba connoisseurs. P.S. I got the original bubble milk tea with lychee jelly. It was terrific! read more

We ordered a regular oat milk latte, an iced matcha latte and also grabbed one of their $1 "day old cookies" they had out. My husband said the oat milk latte had a great espresso to milk ratio and the "day old" banana split cookie did not taste stale at all and was delicious. My matcha was a bit on the lighter/mild side for the matcha taste and I'd probably get something different next time as their specialty drinks looked really tasty. I'm excited to have tried Cafe Blue and will definitely visit again!

Went up to the counter and asked the young man a couple of (what I thought were) easy questions and he seemed like he could care less what I was saying and didn't want to be there. He gave a vague answer that didn't really quite answer my question. My daughter ordered a coffee and asked for beans to be ground while I was thinking about what I wanted to order. He prepared hers and I asked for my order. In the meantime my daughter noticed that he had filled it and had not included the oat milk she had asked for and she asked again for that. He put it on the counter for her to add, but there was no room to really add it. She put in a little and then I added a little to mine as well. He had handed her the bag of beans while cashing us out and she noticed that they were not ground...as she had asked him to do prior...so she had to ask again. In the meantime she had to dribble some of her coffee into a garbage dispenser so she could put the lid back on and drink from the cup. So, overall, the coffee smelled and tasted great, but the service was poor. The guy was not trying to be friendly or helpful at all. I get he probably didn't really want to be working, but he was. Sometimes you need to just accept it, drink a cup of your own coffee, wake up, and at least try to be "present" and accommodating. Luckily we are very easy-going people and just rolled with it without complaint. Until now I guess. I absolutely hate to put negative things in a review, but that was our real experience. Will I go again? Sure. I always give second and usually third chances. People have off days. My challenge to this young man is that next time someone shows up, actually say, "How can I help you?" and actually mean it and then be helpful. This is all we ask. The smell and taste of the product will sell itself and bring people in. I'd love to update this review in the future with glowing comments!

I didn't order any coffee or food this time around, so I can't speak to the menu yet. This visit was more about finding a place to work and unwind for a bit. Would I come back? Yes. While I'm still searching for my go-to coffee lounge in Syracuse, Recess is definitely a spot I'd visit again. I want to throw HANDS with these workers. I got two of the same drink and they messed my order up and put no sugar in one of my drinks. I asked for a refund or a new drink and they told they couldn't do anything. They told me to pay them or they would kick me out the mall !! "Do you even have the power to do that ?"
