Gotta get my boba fix from time to time and I was glad to find they had one in Toledo where I often through. What was helpful is that they had specified each item their menu that lets you know if the drink contains milk, caffeine, non-diary. It narrowed my options down but I ordered the honey lemonade and the strawberry lemonade with boba on two different occasions which were simple but surprisingly good. Lactose-free milk powder or almond milk are the milk choices. I think they have one other alternative milk, might be oat. Lots of topping choices, especially if you enjoy popping boba. So many flavors, choices for milk tea, regular tea, slushes, smoothies, yakult, seasonal flavors and fruit teas. Pudding is nice and eggy. Some are fairly flavorless, but this one tastes richly eggy. The boba is soft, well cooked, sweet with a good flavor. I got the Kung Fu Milk Tea w pudding & boba, "little" 30% sweet (I don't eat a lot of sugar). The tea flavor came through really nicely, which I like. Sweetness level was perfect for me. It was a nice well-balanced drink. My partner for the Mocha Coffee Slush with boba and pudding, regular sweetness. He wanted the S'mores Coffee Slush, but they are out of the S'mores ingredients for the month of August (2022). He thought it could have used more coffee flavor, but the pudding and the boba were both really good. Maybe an iced coffee instead of the slush next time. Gotta start by saying they're not cheap. I risk the danger if being called old (fashioned) by saying this, but I honestly don't think KFT is for older generation folks. In fact, I don't know anyone in my age group who is into bubble teas at all. If you live and hang out in more urban areas I'm sure you would have been exposed to at least one of these Chinese-originated --not necessarily the brand, but the whole bubble tea thing-- drink places. I also think these iced tea focused places tend to do better in warmer climate places rather than a place that fashions 6 months of gloomy winter every year. Having said all that, KFT has a LOT of drink choices, and they all generally taste great. It's borderline unhealthy how many all-year-around plus seasonal drinks they offer tho. You add combination of "toppings" you can mix in, it's hard for someone like me who likes to try different things every visit. If you're a type of person who likes to have a favorite and stick with it, I'm sure this is less of a problem. The old-man side of me wants to stop spending 7 bucks on a drink that'll last me 5 minutes. But then again, America's favorite coffee shop drinks can burn upwards 5, 6 bucks too. At least that's how I continue to justify myself--even tho my drink -of-choice there is normally a $2 brewed coffee. Go figure. read more

1. First off, the boba is amazing. It is always chewy and never hard. It is never too sweet and the drinks always taste fresh. The menu has SO MUCH variety and always new menu items, like smores smoothies. You can add whatever add ons that you like even with your smoothie! I got a caramel macchiato smoothie with boba in it and it was AMAZING. 2. Not only is the place always clean but the customer service is excellent. They also have an app that you can pre-order your boba, and if you order enough drinks you can get a free drink! The prices are modest and the employees have always been nice to me and my family. One time I got a wrong order but they let me keep the wrong order and they made a new one for free. Seriously, this is such a great place to take family, friends, and yourself. I love Kung Fu Tea. The drinks are made fast and the workers are always kind. My go to drink is the Yogurt Peach with no toppings, it's sweet and sour with peach garnish at the bottom, can't beat it. Hi, I was just here and I had a horrible expirience. First it was the oposite of calming it was the loudest restaurant I have ever been to. They told us it would be a ten minute wait. It took us 25 MINUTES to make the simplest drink ever. Then we asked them how much longer it would take and they said it was ready so why didn't they announce our number 20 minutes earlier when it was ready. When I got into the car I realized that my BUBBLE tea didn't have the bubbles ( that I so spicificly ordered.) We also ordered the smallest and simplest drink and it was $6.30 that is more than a good quality complicated drink at Starbucks. The workers were nice for the many people that were there. read more

I just want to first make it clear that this review is STRICKLY for their "Bubble Tea" as I have not tried any of their other drink options. Ok, so I first came upon Kung Fu Tea while visiting my home town of Jacksonville, Fl and having a craving for my normal bubble tea spot (Balance) for which they do not have, anyways I ordered something I thought by description I would like however once I get it and take my first sip immediately I'm turned off because my bubbles aren't popping but tapioca!!! Don't worry I decided to give them another try but this time I customized my order to make sure I was getting popping bubbles or so I thought, lol. Nope this time it ended up being some strawberry jelly something or other? It wasn't terrible but it was waaaaY to sweet, lesson learned. Finally I get a drink (strawberry lemonade) that actually has the popping bubbles and I am now very pleased so I was amazed when I got back home to Ohio to realize they have a location in Toledo which I have visited a couple times. So the 1 drink I found that I like is really good however there are a lot of things I don't like about the franchise, first being they only have a few flavor choices of "popping" bubbles and non of them are my go to flavor and on top of that you are charged ALOT to add the bubbles to your drink which I feel should come with them? Sure charge for xtra but shouldn't charge for the initial ones? Charging for things like xtra sweet I agree is ok but again I feel the charge is far too much, if you're not careful by the time you are done customizing your drink it will cost you upwards of $8.00!!!! If you like all the different type of drinks they offer this is probably a really good spot and again I have enjoyed one of their drinks but when it comes to what I consider "bubble" tea and not "BoBo" tea I will stick with Balance Grill read more

We love this place and treat ourselves every Saturday. If you've never been you owe yourself to try it at least once. Some of our favorites are Lychee punch, Oolong Peach tea, Guava punch, and Mocha coffee. I usually get the tapioca bubbles, my wife enjoys the crystals.
