Reiterating my experience from a few years ago, this has consistently been a favorite lunch spot for my coworkers. The service is great and is good for a casual dine-in setting. We usually come here once a quarter and for good reason. The food here is flavorful and it's pretty reasonably priced. They specialize in a variety of South Indian cuisine, but my favorite has always been the Kurinji special mutton perattal biryani. It's a pretty big dish with rice and plenty of meat. It also has several sides of sauces and spices to mix in. It's a definite must-have if you like lamb. The other favorite of mine is the Vijayawada chicken biryani. It's a huge serving of chicken, rice, onions, and other great ingredients that are sure to get your taste buds satisfied. My coworkers often order the chicken tikka masala or the butter chicken, both of which are better than most Indian places I've been to. An unexpected surprise were the vegetarian samosas, which are large Indian dumplings that are mostly appetizers, but are quite addicting once you've tried it. Kurinji is good for any occasion, but be advised that they are closed on Mondays. Among all the places my coworkers like to visit for lunch, this restaurant remains as our favorite spot. One of these days I'll go down the entire menu to explore everything else they have, as there are just so many options to choose from. We'll definitely be coming here whenever we get a chance and highly encourage any newcomers to check this place out. You definitely won't be disappointed. It seems there are no Halal items available, yet they mislead customers who seek such options. This is a major issue in the country, where little attention is given to those who follow religious traditions requiring only Halal food. It's unfair to deceive people for profit in such a dishonest way, especially when Muslims take these rules seriously. As a result, businesses lose customers since many choose to buy from Halal stores and cook at home. When I called, they falsely claimed the food was Halal, so I decided not to eat there. On top of that, prices for almost everything have skyrocketed, making them unaffordable for most people. Inflation in America is extremely high, while funds continue to flow to Ukraine for war efforts. What cost of all food items in all Indian restaurants is horrible to bear. Added to that tips it comes to almost 100 dollars for a family to eat at such costly places. Another fraud restaurant is Namaste in Warminster, very high prices and lie that everything is Halal, a very big liar who keeps saying false name like Bharat. I really enjoyed our visit to Kurinji Indian Cuisine. Our server was very helpful and worked every table in the room but was cheerful and responsive. We ordered lamb biryani, shrimp korma and masala dosa and started with bhel puri. This was the first time having dosa, it was great! The bhel puri was really tasty - what a treat! customer service is horrible, i tried to put in a catering order in sometime ago and they kept putting me on hold forever all to tell me they can't take my order. i was driving back from northern PA, my trip was 2 hrs long, and these guys kept me on hold the whole time as i was listening into their conversations. lol my wife was so mad. but this time around i got a friend who usually orders from here to put the order in and food was great. pricey though. but that's the economy we are in. everything is crazy expensive. I ordered for more than 100 people, the indo chinese fusion was great. i highly recommend this place, though the customer service is hit or miss. read more

This was a take out order. The food here is delicious and authentic. But I will not go above 3 stars because the portions are ridiculous. And we are a very normal sized family of 4 who don't demand super sized meals when we eat out. Appetizer veggie samosa - 2 pieces for $8. Seriously? There is nothing expensive to a veggie samosa. We ordered 8 ounces of tomato chutney and got at most 1/3 cup. $115 for dinner in tiny containers except again for the rice, which is plentiful and likely cost $5 at most. read more

Due to COVID, they only offer take out. Growing up in the area, this was one of the restaurant that I always wanted to try. When I first ordered take out couple months back, the food was delicious and flavorful. Weeks later, I ordered from them again and the chicken tikka was so bland. After that, every time we would order, it was always hit or miss and today....it was a huge miss. The food we received was so bland and we had no idea what I was eating. We ordered the butter chicken (spicy) and chicken tikka (mild) and they both tasted exactly the same, bland. The butter chicken had a very subtle spicy taste to it but it was still bland. I am hoping this place can be more consistent so I can order more often but for now, I am going to take a break from this place and find another restaurant that can fulfill my chicken tikka craving. read more

Fantastic restaurant. Authentic Indian food both north and south which is very hard to find. Would like for them to add a few more vegetarian north Indian dishes like daal makhani and breads like onion kulcha Also would be cool for them to try to do some Indian dishes with paneer or seitan for vegetarians. The food was good, however; service and hospitality was not. First, the waiter came and took my companions order then walked away. When we called hime back he said he assumed we would be sharing. Why would he assume 2 people would share 1cup of vegetable korma and a cup of rice. Second, before I finished my meal he was back with his hand-held register wanting us to pay and stood at the table until he had his money. The topper... Not 5 minutes later he was at our table telling us we needed to leave because people were waiting to sit down. Total time at the restaurant for a $50 meal... 40 minutes. Won't be going back. Its an amazing Indian restaurant located near Horsham, Willow Grove. We had dinner with our friends and family yesterday night. Ordered Veg and chicken biryani, assorted breads, masala paneer along with few chutneys. Dinner was hit. It tasted amazing. Each bite of food reminded flavors of home country. With such rave reviews I was excited to give this place a try for takeout. Unfortunately this meal left us underwhelmed and spiced out. Maybe we just got them on an off night, but the whole meal was fairly disappointing. Garlic Naan- 1/5 very firm and chewy, garlic was raw, and flavor and texture were subpar Milagu Rasam- 1/5 way too aromatic. The bottom third of soup was spices. Gobi Manchurian- 5/5 delicious! Sauce had a surprising kick and cauliflower was fried and sauces to perfection. Our group's favorite item by far! Basmati Rice- 5/5 perfectly cooked and seasoned! Lamb Vindaloo- 3/5 sauce was good and surprisingly spicy. We ordered hot and it definitely delivered! Potatoes were great but lamb was pretty dry Butter chicken- 4/5 sauce was incredible. Hard to go wrong with butter chicken but the chicken was extremely dry Saag Paneer- 3/5 sauce was creamy and flavorful but paneer cubes were extremely dense Vegetable Dum Biryani 1/5 We ordered it to be mild and this was overwhelmingly spicy. Between my girlfriend and I, we ordered chana masala (medium), chicken tika (mild), vegetable samosas, garlic naan, and rice (the online menu was unclear about whether not not either of the main dishes came with rice; we wound up with three containers of it). The first thing that leapt out at me was that holy heck, the samosas were spicier than anticipated! That wasn't a problem, though, and I enjoyed both - nice, crisp outside, spicy pea-and-potato goodness within. The accompanying chutney and sauce were also good quality. The chickpeas were a great spice level, though to my surprise a bit milder than the samosas. The portion was on-point and the taste was strong and good enough that I didn't regret passing on my usual habit or ordering lamb or seafood when I eat Indian. It went excellent with the rice, naturally. The tika, meanwhile, was genuinely mild (which is what we wanted), creamy, and mildly sweet, with wonderfully tender chicken breast cubes. My go to for takeout Indian. The prices can't be beat for the quality of food and the menu selection. The level of spice is always appropriate based on how you order it. They have great vegetarian and seafood entrees. I love the blend of traditional Indian dishes on the menu as well as some dishes you won't find at other Indian restaurant. Sorry to have to do this. We have consistently loved their food. We ordered dinner last night and it was pretty close to horrible. The bread was made from frozen. The chicken saag was absolutely totally tasteless. The chicken was dry and overcooked and spinach was mostly liquid with little or no spinach. The absolute best Mysore Masala Dosa i've had in the U.S. This place is the real deal!!

If I had one word to describe this place it would be Yum! I often find it hard to get Indian food that's even close to what we make at home, but Kurinji delivers. We haven't dined in, only ordering take out. What we have received has been delicious every time. The samosas are flavorful and the dough they were in was tender and flakey. The pakoras were crispy, event the next day, and I'm honestly still dreaming of the green chutney- it was perfection! We have also tried the butter chicken, saag paneer, chana masala, and lamb vindaloo. They were all good portions, flavorful, perfectly spicy, and came piping hot. Make sure you order some of the breads- we were fighting over the last pieces of garlic naan and aloo paratha. Pickup was quick and the gentleman at the front was very kind. I was very pleased to have found this restaurant as I love dosa. I began bringing friends when we ate out as the food in general was quite good and the ambiance was great: not fancy but full of a mixed crowd, mostly Desi having a good time. But the last time we went, we ordered shrimp biryani. They must not have had any made up because what they brought was spiced rice with awful, hastily-made, gloppy, and unbalanced shrimp curry on the side. I imagine they thought we wouldn't know the difference. They should have said, "We have none prepared and a proper biryani takes a while. So sorry, would you accept chicken or lamb or ..." Nothing was said at the time by us as I didn't want to give our friends an unpleasant time, but we won't be back. read more

Kurinji used to the the best Indian food in the area. We used to order it at work all the time, sometimes multiple times a week, and would always look forward to the days we would order. I'm not sure what's changed, but in the last year the food quality has noticeably declined. It used to be extremely flavorful but is now bland and greasy and mediocre. Loved everything about this restaurant! My parents have been wanting to try this restaurant out for awhile so we decided to come for dinner on a Sunday night. The restaurant was not to busy and we were seated right away. We ordered the gobi manchurian, chicken 65, and bhel puri as appetizers. All 3 appetizers were delicious but the gobi manchurian was hands down the best! It really had the perfect amount of flavor and spice. For entrees, we tried the shahi chicken korma, paneer butter masala, vijayawada special chicken biryani, and naan. Both curries were very delicious and the paneer butter masala is a must to order! I enjoyed the biryani as well but it was delicious much spicier than the other dishes so keep that in mind if you do not have a high spice tolerance. We also tried the gulab jamun and rasmalai for dessert which were both so yummy. My family and I are pretty picky about gulab jamun from restaurants but we all loved it! I ordered postmates and I was not expecting much from the place but it truly surprised me. Some of the best indian food I have ever had (my best friend's family is south indian so that's saying a lot). I ordered the Lamb Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, Veg Samosa, Garlic Naan, and an assortment of chutneys and it was all amazing. The tikka masala has so much flavor, it's incredible. The saag paneer has just the right level of spice (I ordered a medium expecting it to not be very spicy but it is actually really spicy and includes green chilies to up the spice). The samosas were good (normal good, not AMAZING like the rest) and the naan was great as well. Overall full of flavor and spice. I am a regular of Arusuvai and Biryani City and a big fan of Biryani City's biryani and Arusuvai's side dish. Earlier this week I was around Maple Glen area and so ordered dinner in Kurinji as it was showing nearby. Got goat dum biryani, chicken dum biryani, goat perattal, karaikudi chicken kurma, without much expectation though. But was pleasantly surprised by the rich flavor and taste of all 4 items. There were cashew nuts all over goat perattal and kuruma. Couldn't recollect the last time I ordered as many items and ALL OF THEM happened to taste so great. Not just the taste, the quantity was also more than what I expected. We had enough food left over for next nite's dinner too. One thing I've noticed while scrutinizing the menu for COVID-19 takeout is that the menu is larger than I had first realized, and provides a deeper dive into some regions of India compared to most other Indian restaurants which generally offer a collection of the most famous dishes from across the whole subcontinent and stop there. This place is out to educate, quietly and without fanfare, and to expose customers to traditions we won't otherwise encounter. I admire this greatly, like when a few Szechuan restaurants appeared in Chinatown in the early 1990s that finally encouraged Americans to try the genuine, natively spicy dishes drenched in hot chili oil and Szechuan peppercorn. They initially attracted fewer customers but persevered to great success. read more

I have been here twice. Both times we ordered Gobi Manchurian and masala dosa. The Gobi Manchurian was the best my dining partner has ever had. He orders it in every Indian restaurant that has it. It is big pieces of cauliflower in a very crispy coating and tasty sauce. We had potato dosa and potato and cheese. The potato was better because the cheese did not add to the dish. The dips are very tasty. ( This dish was recommended by an Indian friend.) They have some dishes we had not seen in other restaurants - Pomfret fish fry & curry and Pallipalayan Chicken roast. The fish is a "steak" and has bones, but it is very tasty. We used the curry sauce as a dip for the chicken. It is that good. The chicken is crispy in a slightly spicy "dry" sauce. The first time we were here we had just veggie apps. I do not remember what else we had except that it was delicious. read more

The food is so good! Highly recommend the malai kofta which I finished before doing this. It's so yummy. The naan is perfectly crunchy on the outside and melts in your mouth as you bite into it.
