Aside from being very knowledgeable about his domain, Kurtis and his team are also able to think creatively about different solutions. Kurtis came in, his mood was not great, he seemed in a hurry but was still polite and appeared pretty informed and knowledgeable. He said he'd have a quote for me within a couple of days. I was looking for some help to upgrade the WiFi in our house as well as purchase and install a new TV and move an existing TV. I called Kurtis Company and I like the other places that I contacted Kurtis answered the phone right away (I am still waiting to hear from the others about 8 weeks later). He listened to what i was looking for and immediately made some suggestions and scheduled a home visit within 3 days. I am not tech savvy at all so I really relied on his expertise on what we needed. He walked me through the options very clearly and provided a quote within 48 hours. He was open to negotiating a bit, after which we struck an agreement and he said his team would be there within 4 weeks. He later called and they were there within 2 weeks! The installation crew was friendly and skilled, and even came back to move one of the components that we changed our mind on. He was very thorough and made sure he understood my wishes and made good suggestions as to how best achieve the results I was looking for. We scheduled the install and Kurtis showed up with two installers. These two gentlemen were efficient, professionally mannered and knew what they were doing. They wired through the wall and cleaned up as they went. They took great care to secure the wires on the back of the TV. We purchased our current house in 2018. It was built in 2013, and equipped with a Russound multi-zone CAT5 networked in-ceiling speaker system. Recently, we were experiencing high-pitched feedback over the system, and I reached out to Kurtis to get a professional assessment of my options (repair or replace). He spent time walking through the existing set-up, and getting an understanding of my objectives for sound in each area of the house. He outlined a couple options, while noting that the installed CAT5 system had numerous limitations, is less commonly used now, and would be costly to try and repair. He outlined a replacement option, leveraging the Sonos network I already had in place for the rooms that weren't covered by the CAT5 multi-zone system. This included (1) stand-alone Sonos speakers in our kitchen/dining area, (2) improved speaker wiring for the KEF speakers in our living room, (3) expanding our TV room Sonos soundbar with a subwoofer and rear speakers to get full surround sound. Kurtis provided a very reasonable estimate, and he and his team were very professional through the set-up.
