I recently bought an RV at Bretz RV..when I went to pick it up, I already had my own stabilizer bars for the hitch. They refused to install mine because the man said it was rusty and out of date. They wanted to sell me a new one for $1300, which I couldn't afford. I'm with the other reviewer who said if there could be a 6th star, it would be awarded. They got me in with less than 24 hours notice, listened carefully, tested throughout the solar electrical wiring system and in less than 30 minutes solved what for them was a straightforward electrical problem (not straightforward for me!), checked everything else out just to make sure all was good, gave my dog a good head rub and dog snack, charged me a very decent rate, and sent me on my way. We had a storage locker that had broken and locked internally and there was no Way to access our supplies. We stopped at several RV places to try and get a new latch lock and figure out how to get a locked door open. We got Kurt's name from another RV place that did not want to tackle The job . I called Kurt told him my situation and that I was just passing Thru on my way to Great Falls, he gave directions to his shop, met me at My arrival and went right to work .In less than an hour he not only Got the locker open but repaired the latch/lock mechanism He helped with a couple other problems as well . After a freak incident that damaged our grey water tank and valve on our trailer on a road trip, we found Kurt who made sure to get us in first thing the next morning and had our trailer done and ready to go in just a couple hours! He was very reasonably priced and went above and beyond to get us back on the road! He even graciously fixed the lock on a storage compartment when he saw me struggling to lock it! Can I give Kurt TEN STARS? What an outstanding guy! We were sure we'd lost the hydraulic fluid from the system the operates the slides and leveling on our motor home. None of the several BIG RV dealers in Billings, MT could look at the coach for at least a week, but one of them, American Spirit, was kind enough to recommend Kurt. He said he'd be able to take a look, and when he did, he determined there was no problem with those hydraulics, just an over-filled reservoir. But in the process of determining that, he discovered one inside rear tire was down to the steel with a chunk out of it. We now know our "hydraulic issue" was God's way of making us stop so the tire issue could be discovered. Kurt recommended a source for two new tires at a reasonable price. He initially refused our proffered payment, but finally accepted compensation for his time, and sent us on to get our tires! I can't say enough god things about this guy in Billings, MT. read more

We were getting ready to pull out of our KOA Holiday Campground when we discovered that our lifters weren't working. We called two RV Repairmen, but Kurt was the only one who called back. It was a Sunday but he arrived within 25 minutes. He knew exactly what the problem was, showed us what to do if it happens again, and fixed the issue. He went above and beyond the one issue and fixing that. He thoroughly checked any related parts to determine wear and tear and gave us a few parts that he had as spares at no charge. They he replaced our battery and he showed us the invoice showing what he paid for it which is what he charged us. This was one of the best and most thorough RV repairs ever. We were traveling across Wyoming and were about 150 miles from Montana when we discovered the rear hanger spring on the rear axle had broken on our Nash camper trailer. We called several RV repair shops we found on yelp and none could help us. We found Kurts Repair from another shop and Kurt not only repaired our RV as promised, but did an excellent job as well, going above and beyond to get us on the road that day. When told by a local supplier that they wouldn't have parts for five days he sent his daughter out to find the springs needed, she found the parts and had us on the road on no time. It is difficult for me to only give Kurt a five star rating, if there were a ten star rating I would give him that. In essence I would give him the highest rating and recommendation there is. My wife and I were beginning an 8,000 mile RV retirement trip and as we entered Montana, a pin sheared on our main slide-out and the only way we could get it in was by hand. The date was late June and we began calling all over the state. No one could (would) fit us in. We struck out in Missoula, Helena, and the only option we could find in Billings was a shop that would charge us $150 to move to the top of the list and then double the hourly rate. It was this or wait until late July for service. We contacted Kurts Repair and he agreed to take a look at our problem. We stopped by there and three hours later were back on the road thanks to his knowledge and efforts. While he was helping us another traveler stopped by in need of a new refrigerator and he took care of them as well. Great guy and great service. read more

We had been told by 2 other RV repair places in Billings that they could not get us in for 2 weeks or more. We are passing through on vacation so that was not an option. Also, it would be double the labor price if they COULD get us in because they would be "pushing back all of their regular customers" to squeeze us in. One of the service techs at Bretz RV recommended Kurts RV to us. We went by to chat with him about our AC unit that wasn't working right. He said to come by first thing the next morning. We were in and out within 45 minutes, he fixed the AC and we bought new batteries from him that we didn't know we needed. He was fair and thorough and very knowledgeable.
