I hand-build tiny, tiny ceramic pots, so I'm always looking for tiny plants to put in them. Straders has only a small selection of these pots & they are $6-15 depending on plant. DeMonye's had 10x the variety of what I usually find at Straders, and they were $4.49!! I did a little dance. You can find annuals, perennials, indoor plants, bulbs, seeds, soil, garden decor, pots, you name it! I also found flowers and berry plants for my garden. So stop in very soon if you want to go one more time. We've been coming here for a decade, they've been here for almost a century. It's very handy for us, and usually had most of what we need. Service was great, prices were decent. And convenience has a quality of its own. Now where will we go? Next closest place is probably Oakland, which is fine but at least 15 minutes away.

I had no Idea that Scotts Garden Center had such a variety of options form my gardening needs. They even had cucumber plants. This visit was to purchase flats of annuals for our spring planting. In addition to having a great selection of plants, they also have a very knowledgable staff who was able to direct us to what we were looking for and to answer questions about planting instructions, etc. Oakland has several locations and I've been to the Columbus, Delaware and New Albany locations but the New Albany location is my favorite (and the closest on to my home). Great selection / great staff / reasonable prices. Beats the big box stores.

Next to the gift shop (also inside) is an inside cashier for the outdoor nursery. Which makes it nice in bad weather. in this area, you can find your miracalGro, grass seed, fertilizer birdseed, bird feeders, hummingbird as well as garden tools and seedlings. They also have custom potting. In their attached green house. The nursery is dog friendly provided the dog is well behaved and welcome in the inside and outside areas. Our dog rides around on the cart as I pick out plants. On the north side of the parking lot they also have another gift shop Inside Out. Also worth checking out. Dogs should avoid this part of Oakland Nursery. Lots of breakable stuff. Its a fun place to visit and get your plants from. The people here are very helpful and if they dont know the answer to your question they will radio someone who does. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

I spent just over $75. I really thought their prices would have been just a little better. This was my first time here and again loved their selections but the prices were a bit too high for me so because of this I won't be coming back.
