I called in earlier the day to check how busy they were it it was basically just drive in and get the car checked and then I was done. The only downside of this is the location. Kusch's is Fantastic! I slid on some snow that had blown into the street as I was rounding a corner and slid sideways into the side walk about about 20 mph. That dinged up my front passenger rim pretty good, but more importantly it knocked out all the electronic steering control on my car. My antilock brakes no longer worked, I lost my power steer and my car started drifting to the right a lot as I drove. I took it to Kusch's and they fixed it up at a totally reasonable price. They really made an effort to keep the cost to a minimum and they wrote detailed notes about everything they did in case I had questions. I will be taking my car to them for any future needs because they really made an effort to provide great service at a fair price. And they had a free loaner car for me to use while they worked on mine. read more

I wouldn't trust my auto repairs to anyone else. Kusch's is a small, family run shop that straddles the border of Brookfield and Tosa and the Mister has used them for multiple repairs on his aging Jeep and been very happy. So when I had a leaky back tire there wasn't any question where we were going. Setting an appointment is easy - you can call of course, or use their online request form. I had an appointment within a day and the process was really painless. As others have noted, their service writer Vinnie is about the nicest guy ever and makes sure you know what's happening. He told me "45 minutes" for my fix and it was exactly that. The waiting area is tiny - they could probably use another chair or two, but there's coffee/Kcups. They were able to plug my tire and in less than an hour and just $40, I was on my way. They do emission testing and standard maintenance (oil change, tire rotations) as well. Dealing with car problems is never fun but they really try to make it a simple, transparent process here. read more

Honest, Trustworthy, Hardworking. Am I describing a Boy Scout? Nope, I'm describing the fine people at Kusch's Automotive. I drive a 8 year old USA-made SUV with 90K miles on it. Let's face it, it's going to start to need some work. Last winter when my starter crapped out on me, my wife's boss, who might I say, is the most anal-retentive man ever to walk God's green earth, recommended that I use Kusch's for my repair. If they could keep this grumply old bastard happy, I knew they were worthy of my business. Now, I'm a handy guy. I grew up in a family where manual labor has highly prized. I was helping my brother replace brakes and transmissions from the time I was knee-high to a '74 Chevy Vega. I know my way around a tool box, but when my starter went out, everything I read online about the job convinced me that I did not want to do it. The fine engineers at Jeep thought it would be a good idea to wedge the starter in a place that required a lift and removal of the front drive shaft to change it. Screw that, I thought. Let's give Kusch's a try. I worked at an auto parts store through college. I'm very familiar with Mom & Pop shops. When I called to make the appointment, Mom (Kathy) set it up, and Dad (Mike) was there to greet me when I picked up the vehicle. What I was most impressed by was the professionalism of the service writer, Vinnie. I received a call once he had the quote, and once the job was completed. This has been the case every time since then. I've been given a complete breakdown of what to expect, and when the job would be completed. Vinnie has been spot-on every time. On a recent visit, I had a new set of tires installed. I put on a good set of Firestones. When comparing prices, Kusch's was $4/tire CHEAPER than Tires Plus. Why wouldn't you buy your tires here too? And now the best part: Free loaners! OK, you won't be driving a late model BMW 5 series, but at least you won't have to inconvenience anyone or wait around for someone to pick you up. So, whether you need something simple like an oil change or emissions testing, or if you need something complicated like engine work. I can't recommend anyone more highly than I recommend Kusch's. read more
