We chose to pack our own boxes, but they can also pack for you. We were lined up with a stellar and reliable move crew (Thank you Jake & David!). The same crew who loaded the truck are the ones who drove up and unloaded to our new home which gave us good peace of mind that there was no change of hands. I was really impressed by OCD's kind and hardworking demeanor. Our furniture was very well padded and packed. The delivery in Portland went great! Everything arrived safely even the most fragile glass and ceramic items made it through the move journey unscathed. Thanks so much for everything OCD, I can't thank you enough! I especially appreciated how they took care to drop each box off at the desired floor and stacked them nearly to reduce space. They also helped pack some stuff, especially the kitchen, that we were unable to pack due to lack of time/energy. The price is fair and competitive and they were able to do it in a day. They also helped disassemble and re-assemble furniture and put everything exactly as we like. The communication was great and they are just great guys in general. We ultimately chose them over other movers also because during the consultation stage, they facetimed with us and discussed quotes after seeing our place during facetime. I think that's important because we had key items we wanted to make sure were safe and they could also see how much stuff we had and prepare the right amount of people and time. I really valued the thoroughness before the move and during the move. We have recommended them to all our friends and will use them for all future moves.

I hired Bay Area Furniture Assembly to assemble my home gym. The initial installation seemed to go…read moresmoothly, and I was satisfied when the technician left. Unfortunately, I discovered issues the first time I actually used the machine. The pulley system had been routed incorrectly in two places, causing the cables to twist, tangle, create excessive friction, and even go completely slack and off the track when the weight was removed. I immediately sent photos and videos showing the problem. We agreed that she would return at 7:00 PM to inspect and correct the issue. However, she did not show up at the agreed time and instead requested additional photos and videos that had already been provided. Based on the communication and tone, it became clear that returning to fix the issue was not a priority. Ultimately, I had to hire another service to correct the installation. They completely rerouted the pulley system and lubricated the moving parts, which resolved the stiffness and functionality problems. I informed Bay Area Furniture Assembly of this, but never received a response. I am disappointed with the level of customer service, especially considering the price paid. While the initial assembly appeared fine, the real test came when the equipment was put into use, and unfortunately the follow-up support and accountability were lacking. ----Follow Up Reply Thank you for your response. This will be my final response, and readers can do with this information what they will. Several statements in your response are inaccurate. You stated that no follow-up time was agreed upon. In writing, you suggested 7 PM and I agreed to that time. You stated there was no phone conversation. We spoke by phone for over five minutes regarding the issue. You stated that additional photos and videos were not provided. I documented the issue and communicated it as soon as it became apparent during actual use of the machine. I travel frequently for work, and although 12 days had passed since assembly, the machine had not yet been utilized. The issue was discovered the very first time I used it. It also makes little sense that I would voluntarily pay a second company to inspect and repair the machine if there had been no issue with the original setup. I requested no refund, no compensation, and made no demands. I simply needed a functioning machine and chose the quickest path to resolving the problem rather than continuing to troubleshoot. The second company corrected the pulley routing and made additional adjustments to ensure smooth operation. After their work, the stiffness, twisting, and slack cable issues were completely resolved. Whether that means the original assembly was incorrect or not, the fact remains that the machine did not function properly until another company corrected it. My review reflects not only the installation itself, but also the follow-up customer service and accountability afterward. I paid for a properly functioning machine and ultimately had to pay a second company to achieve that. I stand by my review and wish Bay Area Furniture Assembly the best going forward.

He and a member of his team, Rose, kept in constant contact with us throughout the whole process. The driver, Ihor, was very professional and courteous. Ihor picked up our vehicle on Monday afternoon and had it to our house in Idaho on Tuesday evening. We were kept informed as he traveled prior to pick up, and prior to delivery. Workers always pick up your bins for you when you're done putting your recycling in as well and receiving your payment is quick and easy via check. Some say you lose more money by turning in recycling by weight instead of per bottle but those like me who just need to recycle and get out right away, this is your place for good value in experience while doing a tedious task. Workers deserve a raise. They work hard to make the process go as smooth as possible for all customers. Thank you for all your help.
