This was my first time using West Coast Moving Systems and it will definitely not be my last! If I ever have to move again, I am using this company. Allow me to begin by saying that in the past, I have had some of the worst moving experiences ever! So from the start, I am skeptical and a little leery when it comes to moving. I had a move from Los Angeles to Northern California and honest to God, it was the best moving experience EVER!!!!! On the front end, Jose, Eric, and Alex (Junior) were so attentive, friendly, and just a pleasure to be around. They all clearly got along and worked so cohesively as a team that from wrapping up all of my items (included in the price and not tacked on secretly like most companies) and moving all of my items onto the truck it was 1.5 hours!!! Yes you read that right! They hustled and were efficient and professional! They also took good care of my things and actually acknowledged when boxes said Fragile! They made me feel relaxed and not stressed about moving day, which is a feat in it of itself, and they made my morning a breeze. I should also mention that Robert the dispatcher was in constant communication with me, always keeping me updated and informed as well notifying me when my delivery would be taking the place 24 hours ahead of time. He was so patient and understanding and I appreciated his role in my move. Continuing with my West Coast Moving Systems experience, today Dave, Eduardo, and Sergio delivered my items and did so within 20 minutes!!! Again like 3 previously aforementioned gentlemen, they hustled, were so courteous and professional, and took care of my things, careful about the walls and stairs, etc. and again they took extra special care of boxes marked Fragile! They were also more than accommodating and wonderful when I mistakenly had confused my own boxes and then put them downstairs, to actually need them to carry them all upstairs. They were happy to do it and told me not to worry about it, and quickly righted my own mistake with a smile on their faces and still handled my boxes with care. I am so overjoyed that I miraculously found this company, actually through their Yelp reviews, and I can 1000% guarantee that this is the company to use for your out of town or in town move! I interviewed over 20 movers and researched 20 more. They are reliable, professional, courteous, and simply put, AMAZING!!! I would not waste time going with any other company. West Coast's prices were the best that I found anywhere! And there was no BS about what they quoted me and what I paid. no additional or hidden fees, it was all so painless and straight forward. I would highly recommend West Coast Moving Systems for anyone needing household movers. If it was going to be an easy job we would have done it ourselves so we felt very fortunate to hire WCMS to load our household contents for the 6 hour drive move. The entire process beginning with Armondo and MaryLynn was excellent. Armando was our first contact and communications with him through the move were timely and clear. MaryLynn arrived exactly on time for our estimate appointment. I was a little apprehensive as housecleaning had been suspended due to packing but MaryLynn was so pleasant and non judgmental that I became comfortable right away. She estimated our job and even afterwards responded promptly when I had 2 subsequent questions within the first 24 hours. On the day of pick up 4 men arrived. Anthony G., Antonio, Adam and Eric. Although it was a big job they were speedy and efficient. All the furniture was blanketed and then shrink wrapped as they handled everything with great care. There were hundreds of boxes and a few heavy items (like a big tool chest) but they were undaunted and worked hard without complaint. The next day the team of Anthony G., Antonio and Adam were punctual with arrival. They were polite, respectful and considerate. It was a necessity to partially block my neighbors wide driveway but Antonio informed our neighbor that whenever he wanted the truck out of the way they would move it immediately. I was really impressed with the team's customer service and dedication to doing the job right. They made me very comfortable and told me if at first I didn't like a position of any piece of furniture they would be happy to move it. They were just the best movers anyone could want. All three men worked extremely hard and well together. They always said "yes" to any of my requests and "thank you". I don't know if they were trained in customer service but anyone of the three could teach a course in how to do it. The charge for the service was exactly the same as the estimate. No hidden or surprise charges with this company. I hope Armondo, MaryLynn, Anthony G., Antonio, Adam and Eric see this review because they should know how much we appreciate their competence, senses of humor, friendliness and ethics. In addition we very much appreciate the movers strong muscles and willingness to use them for our possessions. Great job everyone! Let me just start by saying that I can't say enough positive things about West Coast Moving Systems (WCMS)! I used them in early October 14 to move from San Francisco to Aptos, south of Santa Cruz, and they were phenomenal. If there was a way to give more than 5 stars they sure deserve it. Their customer service and attentiveness was better than what you would find from almost any other vendor in the industry. I checked with many other moving companies, and West Coast Moving Systems' rate was extremely competitive, in fact far better than most. Of the eight moving companies that I called only Eric from WCMS and an estimator from another company came to actually see what I had to move. I was pretty impressed by Eric's ability to look at what was getting moved and to give me an accurate estimate on the spot for the cost and number of movers/truck size required and that did not change later on. The WCMS movers, Azer and Rob, came on time, called before-hand, and moved my furniture quickly to my new apartment (I had packed most of my items). I had a lot of wall hangings that were carefully wrapped by the guys and loaded onto the truck. The whole process only took a couple of hours, of course minus the long drive from San Francisco to Aptos. Both Azer and Rob were extremely nice, personable, and helped with everything. As I mentioned earlier there were no hidden fees and Eric's quote was what I paid once the move was complete. In SF even though I was on the 1st floor and in Aptos in a townhouse, they still had to use the small elevator and stairs to move the heavy furniture pieces. Other companies charge you a fee for all of this stuff, but with WCMS the fee was all inclusive. In total, communication was great throughout the entire process and the price was exactly what was quoted on day one, thanks to Eric. The movers called me to confirm they were on their way when they said they would. Also got some follow ups to make sure everything went well a few days later. The movers, Azer and Rob, were super professional, and upon delivery all the items arrived in one piece and great shape. I really recommend these guys from start to finish. I got a number of estimates before choosing a mover. Although these guys were not the cheapest, they were prompt with the estimate process, and most important, they were willing to give us a fixed-rate quote, which was reasonable. Natalie gave me a sense of their pricing on the phone, and then Eric, came to our place to do an estimate. They were both really nice and professional. West Coast Moving Systems guide us in the right direction to get parking permits for their trucks on moving day. They showed up exactly on time for both the packing day and the moving day. The moving guys themselves were incredibly sweet and helpful. And they worked REALLY hard. Anyway, they wrapped everything VERY carefully and did a fantastic job. Frankly, I'm sure the job ended up taking longer than they expected, but they were super-cool and nice about it and didn't seem to lose much steam even after a full day of packing followed by a VERY full day of moving. And they helped us put together all of our furniture in the new place, which I guess movers are supposed to do. I pretty much always expect to have at least one thing broken or lost during a move. But . . . nothing. We actually THOUGHT they lost something, and wrote them several days post-move to ask about it. They were very responsive to our inquiry (it was a stereo speaker), and then we ended up finding it. One mishap -- They may have put a scratch on the floor of our old apartment. But they ended up paying to repair it even though they didn't think they did it. I am pretty sure that they did do it, and so I do think it was their responsibility to pay for it. But let's face it -- There are an awful lot of moving companies that would deny responsibility (and probably wouldn't even call you back if you contacted them about something like that). I honestly cannot say enough good things and how appreciative I am to choosing West Coast Moving Systems for my relocation from San Diego up to the Bay Area! I saw the 5 star reviews and was still somewhat skeptical, but after coordinating with Robert in Dispatch and Owen meeting me to estimate the move...it really showed how well the company is run. On the morning of our move from a 2 bedroom townhome; Jose, Eric and Nick came out to pack and move everything in the same day. They were great! They paid alot of attention to the little details with our items, especially when it came to packing the kitchen and labeling the boxes. They were also very personable and friendly, so it felt more like you were having friends help you move...but you were getting professional quality service. We were able to receive our items in the Bay Area 36 hours after the truck was loaded in San Diego which was fantastic. The unloading crew that we had were Scott P, Robert, Ricardo and Walter. They were AMAZING at setting up all of our furniture where it needed to go, and were also very patient with us as we were figuring out what items were staying and what was staying on the truck to go to storage. They were all very well organized, and were extremely patient when it came to loading the storage unit, which I cannot express how appreciative I am for that. Everyone was friendly and approachable, but still very professional. Much like our loading crew, they went above and beyond what we were anticipating in a move. We absolutely loved our experience using West Coast Moving Systems. Apart from the quality service of the move, you get great people helping you and that makes all the difference. Just used this company to move more than 500 miles from Los Angeles to northern California, and overall, I am very happy with their services. The sales manager (Big Eric) rearranged some details in order to get my stuff to me just two days after I left LA (rather than the standard five to seven work days) in order to accommodate a tight work deadline. Though the crew missed their arrival window due to traffic, once they arrived, they were very quick, courteous and careful, and I was able to get on my way in just three hours. They showed up at my new house on time two days later, and did a great job. Little Eric and Jose were extremely pleasant, and one of the local crew members even showed me a cool trick for making a crooked lamp stand up straight! The only reason I'm withholding a star is because now that I've gotten unpacked, I've noticed a few missing items--all of which were similarly shaped and stacked together--rods for my laundry basket, a yoga mat, some push brooms and shovels, a roll of wrapping paper, and about 18 cardboard boxes that house my emergency water supply, which I'd broken down for easy transport. None of those items have turned up at my new location. It's nothing I can't live without, but I do wish someone had taken the time to ask me about them before making a decision on my behalf, since they were all in a section of things to be moved. Other than that: Great job! Clean, neat, quick and courteous--and none of my stuff was broken when I got it. This was enough to restore my faith in moving companies. There are still some good people out there doing this work! First off, I would highly recommend this company. We were living in San Jose', and moving to Riverside CA, my husband moved down there before me, for work. Needless to say I had to handle the move, myself. We decided to hire West Coast Moving Systems ,I am so happy we chose them. They sent out a nice young man to give us a quote, they told me that the movers would pack the big screen T.V and a large mirror for free, and we payed what was quoted!!!!!. There was no hidden fees. I had not got some of the floor lamps bubble wrapped, the movers took care of that. I called Steve Louis, and told him I needed a little extra help,He said, no problem. The movers, Jose and his crew, were fast , friendly, and took very good care of our belongings.I thought we were going to need storage for our belongings in Riverside for awhile. I called Steve Louis, and was freaking out, He got on the phone and found us a storage unit big enough for our stuff, God bless Him. After all that, we ended up not needing storage after all. He was so patient with me, I really apprcieated that, I was a stressed out mess.When our stuff arrived in Riverside,Jose and his crew unpacked the truck with the same care used while packing the truck. I had a sectional, I wanted it in the master bedroom,there was no way it would fit in the door jam, they took off a screen to a large window and moved it in that way. I was so happy, I got my furniture where I wanted it ! Bottom line is ,if You want an honest, hard working, moving company this is it.I got all the movers phone numbers, I am having a pool party for the guys. when they are in the area, after it warms up. Moving is one of the top three most stressful life experiences. We talked to four companies before choosing West Coast. Their operations and office team (Eric, Marysa and Randy) were the only ones who asked the right questions and gave a detailed quote with all disclosures for the entire move so there would be no surprises and we could be completely prepared on moving day. The quality of service by the office team was only outmatched by the movers. Efrain V, Bryan, Jose R, and Jose II showed up on time and in full gear. They had the truck loaded with the entire 15 years of "life" in our old house within 1-1/2 hours. All of the guys were friendly, EXTREMELY efficient, and took extra care wrapping furniture and fragile items and insuring we were comfortable every step of the way (all the while managing not to step on or let out our very nervous cat ;-). They also helped load the car with electronics items and unloaded them at the new place. The entire unload was completed with all furniture unwrapped and in its proper room/space, bed and tables assembled and wardrobe unloaded and hung in 1-1/2 hours. Oh, and did I mention they moved our piano?, and we moved to a second floor condo?! We were going to hire separate piano movers at an additional cost, but there was no need since West Coast provides this service with one additional mover. What can I say...these guys are amazing. Thank you Efrain, you and your team of "super-heros" helped make this transition so much easier. We had a terrific experience working with West Coast Moving Systems, from getting the initial quote all the way through to delivery of the contents of our home of 20 years. This company provides great value at an affordable price compared to other vendors we interviewed. What sold us initially was the one-on-one meeting with the first representative, Mary Lynn, who walked my wife through the entire process, answered all of her questions, and made a detailed quote by cataloging everything that was going to be moved. If there were any questions we had, she answered them. The rest of the team did a thorough follow-up before our move date, including reminders and check-ins. On the day of the move, Felix and his team were awesome. They took three days for our move: the first day was packing, the second day was loading up the truck, and the third day was delivering everything to our new home. I can't say enough how fantastic Felix and his crew were, from packing our beloved artwork to making sure that we didn't forget anything. If you can, go with the full packing service. Even though we spent weeks sorting and donating and recycling and throwing away a lot of stuff we had accumulated over the years, it sure was great to have someone else pack up our kitchen and bedrooms and linen closet and garage and outside gardens. It's worth every dollar! This move is (cross our fingers) going to be our last one, and the stress and heartache of making it was relieved by going with West Coast Moving Systems. I wanted to love these guys. They have great reviews, and were super friendly and relatively accommodating of some tricky aspects of my move (e.g. taking a piano downstairs and helping me move some large planters. They moved really fast which kept the price lower than it would have been. But, unfortunately, they really did not do a great job. If they had been a lower-priced company I wouldn't have been negatively surprised, but given their positive ratings and premium price I expected better. The issues that led to me giving this review were as follows: -Like I mentioned above, they moved fast. This led to them packing some items improperly (I got the full-service move package) causing a ceramic sculpture of mine to chip and leading to some precious pieces of jewelry of mine jangling around in a large box, taking minor damage. -Similarly, they caused minor damage to the property I was moving into by dragging the furniture around quickly, including causing a fairly long scrape in the paint in the loft area caused by dragging the bedframe, and a few other scuffs. -They didn't bring enough boxes. -I told them not to pack the items in certain shelves (because those were my non-moving housemate's) but they did anyway. -Because they moved so fast then ran out of room in the truck, we had to leave some of my items behind (!) I've had to make one trip back to my old place to gather stragglers, and will have to make at least one more. This is probably going to end up taking around 4 hours of my time. I would happily have paid more for a more careful service. read more

I used West Coast Moving Systems twice this year, once in February 2023 after the heavy rains had passed, and the second on a short one day notice, in May, to move furnishings from 2 self storage units into my new condo. I had several heavy solid pieces of wood furniture, 2 large sofas, tables, chairs as well as more delicate and fragile furnishings and items like boxed glassware and dinnerware, and decorative pieces like mirrors and other items. On both instances, the 2 movers that came (different pairs) arrived right on time at the storage place where I came to let them in through the gates and into my units. They were polite and enthusiastic, worked quickly but carefully in loading their big rig with my possessions, securing the more delicate pieces to the van sides so they would not fall during transport, or be damaged. On the receiving end, they unloaded and transported all of the pieces and boxes up the front stairs, which was a heavy job. They handled each piece just as as carefully into the condo, placing the items where I wanted, removing my moving blankets from the furniture, even folding these before giving them back to me! They were courteous and responsive to my requests for information or action at all times. There was no damage done to anything. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to others after having used them twice myself, and having been completely satisfied with their work both times. read more
