For almost two years now, we've kept passing the Kush Hospitality location in Wynwood - always telling ourselves that we should stop in and try it. After hearing that they had one of the best burgers in Miami AND one of the best burgers in the USA, we HAD to stop in. I've had alligator before, and it's typically chewy, little cubed chunks fried in a thick batter. THIS -- this was absolutely delicious. Lightly breaded, strips of tender alligator - perfectly seasoned. Obsessed!! The sauces for dipping include a creamy garlic sauce and a classic Bang Bang, spicy sauce. Both are delicious and match perfectly with the bites. Our hostess recommended dragging the bites through the Old Bay seasoning and then dunking it in your choice of sauce -- and I have to say, that is definitely the superior way of eating these. The burgers: Johnny Utah and the Frita -- both are super delicious and I can see why they are famous. The Johnny Utah comes topped with beef pastrami (a win in my books!). The Frita has Guava Jelly which gives a special flavor to the experience. YUM YUM YUM! Numerous beers, wines, and more. I've been here 3 times, and all of those times I've ordered the chicken & waffles. I have to admit that while the chicken & waffles were good, it varied in flavor, texture, and crispiness every time I went. The first time I went during dinner time around 9pm during a friday night. The chicken was moist and the batter was so crispy yet light. Kush offers a Meatless Monday special for their chef featured vegetarian and vegan options. The menu offers three mains that are vegan or can be made vegan. These include the Black Bean Burger, Vegan Jambalaya, and Vegan Tacos. I got the made in house black bean burger. It was quite alright. I am a longtime vegan and not into faux meats and beyond burgers yet glad they exist and people like them. The black bean burger was easily made vegan by omitting the jack cheese and sour cream. I got it with a mix of regular fries and sweet potato fries. Veggie Burger was quite alright. Of note you are charged one dollar for a special filtered water yet get refills and is just one dollar for this service. Marilyn provided amazing customer service. Visited this location on a Saturday evening and it wasn't busy at all which is great, recommended by friends this little hidden gem definitely surprised me. It's in the corner and has a small entrance. As soon as we walked in , it definitely gives industrial Miami vibes . The menu on the other hand had many things from burgers to different types of beer on tap . I tried the chicken and waffles , which the chicken was full of flavor and amazing seasonings. The waffles were just ok , a bit dry and didn't do much for the plate it self .. just got for one of their burgers - wish I did . Came on a Saturday night with my friend to grab a quick bite. We had a seat at the bar and we were served pretty quickly. The bartender was very helpful. I had the pan con bistec and it was absolutely delicious sweet potato fries, and my friend had a different sandwich with absolutely amazing truffle fries. I had to steal from her. We tried Kush last night around 7 ish. The restaurant does have cozy patio. The barista who helped us was super pleasant. The menu is filled with salads , burger , starters , and alcoholic beverages. The salad was mediocre honestly , it was not have enough taste , I even did not taste the charcoal chicken. The alligator bites came after our main course. I cannot believe I haven't rated Kush despite me going probably a dozen times, lol. Kush is truly a staple here. It's a vibe you can enjoy on weekends for GNO, for dinner with your partner, or for a solo meal any time of the day. As a burger lover, these always hit the spot and pack a ton of flavor. Their beer tap wasn't working while we were there which was disappointing, but they had a decent amount of canned options. Unfortunately, they also ran out of the can that I was drinking after I had two. We had the Po Boy and Classic burger, both were excellent. I subbed my fries for the Tumbleweeds (which are like crispy onion straws) for an up-charge. No problem there, but I did feel like the portion was pretty small. Underneath the onions they put a bunch of filler (cabbage) to prop them up higher in the dish and make it seem like there is more lol. What is even better than the food and craft beers is the lovely staff who are all super down to earth, friendly and relatable people. Kush has a divebar vibe that makes you feel like you've teleported to a different area. The eclectic decor is hilarious and gives it a super unique charm, but I wouldn't take your easily offended grandma here. Overall the atmosphere and excellent food makes it the complete package! Thus laid back spot is home to juicy burgers, friendly service and a cool dive bar vibe... oh and i can't forget top sweet potato fries in the game! Even one of them (Frita) made it on a list of one of the best burgers in the USA! Not too bad for a relatively unassuming place. The Frita is well-known and pretty popular and comes with guava jelly that gives it an extra oomph. Well cooked and just a real tasty burger that's cooked well. We got it with a side of sweet potato fries and was perfect. For apps, we went with their Portobello Bites. Good flavor profile and paired with a creamy aioli sauce for dipping. We got started with the Alligator bites- pretty tasty with the dipping sauce & cajun seasoning. My friend and I tried 2 different burgers and split them. Kush is a favorite spot to pop into that's walking distance for us; added bonus! If you're looking for great craft beer on tap, bar eats with a twist, and organic natural wines this is a solid spot. There's not an official happy hour, which would be another added bonus, but we typically come in that time of day for wine that is about $45/bottle and eats ranging from $10+. Our favorites are the portobello bites and vegan chorizo tacos. I usually get veggies or chips on the side, but being dairy free it makes me happy I have options to eat here. We still haven't scored their alligator bites, but know those go pretty quickly in the day due to high depend. I love how the beer might be here today but tomorrow they might have a whole new list. Gives you the chance to try local beer instead of a typical corona. I got one called La fresa and Kiwi (maybe) and it was sour with hints of sweetness. To eat I got the Frita burger. Nice grass fed patty with guava, bacon, Swiss cheese and the hotdog papitas. It was a different take on your traditional burger. It was very good the guava gives it a nice sweetness and paired with bacon and the crunchy potato sticks it makes it stand out. Apparently, the website says that there's a parking lot, but there is not. There was plenty of street parking when I came around 1PM on a Monday though, and plenty of open tables inside although it is a smaller place. FYI - They do charge $1 for tap water and also have an automatic 20% service charge. The frita burger is indeed glorious. Get this. It's a perfect balance of meat (medium rare for us), guava jelly, and potato sticks. We got this with the cole slaw, which does not have much mayonnaise but that worked for me since I wanted something less rich. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally had the chance when some friends were in town. The drink menu seems to be lacking but when I asked for a type of beer I didn't see on the menu I was pleasantly surprised they they had a good selection. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and it was okay. I liked the buns they served the chicken with, I just didn't think it was spicy at all. This is a rather late review. I went to Miami a few months ago and I had no set itinerary for places to eat. I normally try to search the popular restaurants when traveling. I was told this place has alligator bites. I was so excited to try, but unfortunately it was not available. Aside from that browsing through their food and drinks menu I settled with their chicken n waffles and their cold brew which was absolutely delicious. There was something about their house maple syrup that was totally different their your OG maple syrup on any waffle or pancakes. It had a spicy kick to it & it was bomb. Okay so I only came here for the burgers but ended up doing a burger and a salad. The place itself is a very dive bar style with both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking can be really tricky since it's on a busy street you can't park on the side anywhere. Your tab will include a 20% gratuity charge but the service is actually pretty good and fast. Now let's switch topics to food. The burger was honestly eh okay. For being a burger place I was expecting a lot better by some of these reviews. Now while the burger was a disappointment the salad was not ! The better than your ceasar was actually delish! I was in the area waiting for a few friends but wanted to grab a quick bite of something I could only get in this area. I had not been to Kush in about 4 years. I ordered the Lokal burger, medium rare. Grass-Fed Patty, Jack Cheese, Tomato, Red Onions, Arugula, Avocado, Honey Mustard. Insanely good. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. The patty was so soft and cooked to perfection. You can really taste the quality in all of the ingredients. Even the bun tasted fresh. I chose sweet potato fries for my side. They were really good and tasted great with a side of honey mustard. 10/10 ($16) I know covid has been hard on so many businesses. A lot of my favorite places have had to cut corners to stay afloat by greatly reducing their quality and/or amping up prices. It's nice to see that Kush has been able to keep the pricing the same and continue to offer top quality food. I cannot wait to return. read more

Let's be straight and to the point. 5 stars for their Frita burger and 3 starts for their French fries. I could not help but be disappointed on the fries (soggy) and every burger needs awesome fries . Having said that, the flavor of the Frita was unique and delicious , the touch of guava complimented the meat like you wouldn't imagine. Props to the creator! We visited on a Sunday afternoon and sat outside on the benches. The place is located at the edge of Wynwood, so don't be taken aback by the surroundings- you're good. Parking was in an unmarked lot right next door. The space seemed small and had more of a bar/ up like feel inside, so with the kids, we felt more comfortable on the outside benches anyway. Service was very good. Our waitress was extremely professional and very sweet. She knew all the menu items and started off right away with letting us know what the favorite items were. We sat at the bar and ordered our burgers. It took 30 minutes for our food to come out. When we received the check, I was surprised to see that a 20% tip was automatically added.
