This review is for the beer and service. My friends and I stopped by during one of the busiest times of the year for this pub: St. Patrick's Day. As you can imagine the crowd was pouring out of the pub and onto the sidewalk! They were busy! That didn't change the quality of the drinks or the vibe at all! We were still able to grab drinks (sometimes with a bit of a wait but perfectly understandable) and hang out outside! They have two entrances but one bar so you have to be patient. After a really fun outing at FIFA Fan Fest in Bay Front, we had a 2 hour wait to catch the next Tri rail. We were looking for bars in the area and found this. What was supposed to be just a place for us to kill time ended up being the best way to end the night. The kitchen was almost closed but the staff was super nice to put in an order of fries for me. We had settled in with Guinness watching the highlights of the previous matches. The crowd was super cool. Everyone was friendly and we ended up making a bunch of friends. This being an Irish bar, it attracted all beer lovers, notably the Scotts who came for their match against Brazil. Turned out to be a fun night. read more

As someone who recently got into Ted Lasso (yes, it's hilarious! must watch), I jumped at the chance when my sister asked if we wanted to watch the Euro Cup Finals (England vs. Spain) at an Irish/British pub! I give this about 3.5 stars. A few weeks ago, a few of us came here after a wine happy hour event nearby. We came late-ish because we were told by a friend of ours that the kitchen is open late. When our group saddled up at the bar, I noticed it was on the empty side for a Friday night, but it's ok. We are here to have a good time. The lady running the bar had given a short limited menu, stating the options were limited because the kitchen was not really open. That was a surprise to all of us as some in our group had hearts set on burgers and whatnot. There was like chicken tenders and plain cheese pizza on the menu and other items that are basic, easy to prep things, nothing really special. My friend Fernand next to me ordered the cheese pizza and when it came out, it looked discombobulated on the plate, not a perfect circle and as he said it looked like as if it was tossed around in a delivery box in the back seat of a car. LOL I was not hungry this late, so hung out a while. Drinks: The usual bar offerings, however, one of our friends asked the bartender if she was able to make a Black and Blue (Guiness with BlueMoon), to which she said she sure can. Wow, I was so intrigued by this that I had to order one myself and gotta way it tasted much better than the traditional Black and Tan! Service Since it was a slow night with little patrons here, we only had 1 person running the bar and also going into the back area of the kitchen to place orders and retrieve item. She was nice and easily chatty, though, when able to talk to us. All in all I'm sure this place picks up on other days and times, as our friend in our group had said they do a good brunch here. When we went we were the first people there and it didn't pick up until later on at night. What's their not to like. Well priced drinks and delicious Irish food in an authentic setting. I don't know about you but I don't want to go an Irish bar and get served my single malted scotch by some Paco from West Kendall. I want a proper Irish gentleman with a dry sense of humor and a bunch of phrases of which I don't understand. This bar is not located in an ideal place but I'm thinking that downtown could use more places like this and someone has to be the trendsetter. Visited a few times during the euros, it was a mess. The kitchen was only open *sometimes* because they were too busy, lines were enormous for drinks, and they only had one filthy restroom for 100+ men. The building was PACKED, body-to-body. The AC stopped working, and it was hot and sweaty. They also didn't bother to set up any special viewing options for a major tournament. Their cable or streaming also periodically cut out, meaning we literally missed major goals when it stopped working. What's more, cranking your neck to view a small, awkwardly placed tv for a major tournament is pretty sloppy. Overall, it was pretty rough -- people vaping indoors, DEAFENING music, mosquitoes, no food, and literally no room to walk. There were so many people that it really felt dangerous. Wouldn't bother for sports or food, but might visit for a dive spot when the AC actually works. read more

In the heart of downtown lies this place! My boyfriend is from England and according to him this is the only true Irish pub with an English feel in Miami. The owners are Irish after all & so is the staff. The food the cook, Vincent, makes is always top notch. Definitely recommend the English breakfast! Stepping inside this pub you feel like you just stepped across the ocean into one in Ireland. It is almost a mind freak when you walk in and hear the Irish accents all around, smell the yeasty brews and food smells (mmm Shepherd's Pie...) wafting from the kitchen. Irish owners know what is necessary for a pub to be authentic, their first venture - the Irish Times in South Miami was wildly successful but they decided to move on to new pastures and explore the downtown Miami crowd. Having been HUGE fans of their previous venture when we lived in Miami, we made it a point to try the new digs out when in town for a concert. It meant a lot for us to try it out since we were literally only in town for 24 hours. From the ambiance to the brews (Guiness FTW!) to the delicious food the Auld Dubliner has hit it out of the park!! You are missing out if you don't try it out. Good beer, good food, good people. Since it's a soccer bar, you can definitely catch them open at 9 am on a Sunday. So yes, we had beer for breakfast at 9 am. It's 5 o' clock somewhere right? James is a fantastic bartender, but all the bartenders are pretty amazing. Every food dish I've had here has been delicious. This place is a great spot to watch soccer as well as other sporting events. It's located downtown across the street from Dade County Courthouse.
