Came back today after my first visit! Went again with the fries and Wagyu Champ burger. Off first bite, something was different with the burger. It tasted like a bacon jam. I looked at the menu again and saw that tomato paste was added to the burger. Unfortunately, I was not a fan. It really overpowered the burger in a way I didn't enjoy. I asked my server if the tomato paste had always been there, and she said yes, but the old versus recent pictures of the menu on Yelp suggest otherwise. That said, if you like burgers with bacon jam, I'm sure you'll like the tomato paste here - just wasn't for me, personally. While I'm not a fan of the change, I think the spot is still worth checking out and overall has great quality buyers. Next visit I'll probably go with the OG. read more

If someone asked me where to find the juiciest and most flavorful burger in Miami, I'd say Coney's without hesitation. Amazing burgers! Definitely one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Coney Burger has a small footprint, and a big taste. We got there early on a Sunday evening to sample their burgers+. The menu only has a few items, which I actually like - stick to what you know and do best. We tried the Wagyu Champ, The OG Classic and the Cry Baby Burger and they were beautifully constructed and delish. The Waygu Champ is a wagyu patty adorned with a pickled heirloom tomato which was a bit sweet and savory, mayo, chives, tomato paste and happy sauce which combined to make a great burger. The OG Classic included double grass-fed patties, classic American cheese, lettuce, tomato, coney sauce, onions, and pickles. It was amazing. My favorite tho was the Cry Baby Burger with a single grass-fed patty, perfectly melted American cheese, caramelized onions, and coney sauce. The first few bites of a burger are always the best to me, and this one I didn't want to put down - just incredibly juicy, meaty, and the melty cheese gave it perfect balance. We also tried the Brisk me up fries and they were great - my opinion is that they could have benefited from hot peppers. We tried both the OG classic and the Cry-baby burger and they were both delish. Simple, but both filled with so much flavor. I was a bigger fan of the OG classic, but that's just because I'm a classic kind of gal who loves some crisp lettuce and tomatoes. The spot is super cute and cozy -- open kitchen concept which gives you a glimpse of the chaos going on behind the scenes (and felt like an ep of The Bear lol). Lately it feels as if smash burgers have taken over the city and honestly i'm tired of it, i can write and rant about the why, but I'm choosing to use my ranting this time to rave about Coney Burger. I remember trying them for the first time a very long time ago when Smorgasburg first opened up in Wynwood and what caught my attention was a green tomato as a topping for a burger and from that moment i knew this was they were special. Fast forward to last year, Coney Burger now has a home in downtown and they're making us all remember thick juicy burgers still exist. Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and you can see chef throwing it down as it's an open kitchen format. I chose to sit at the bar and was memorized on watching the food being cooked. We ordered the OG Classic, Wagyu Champ & Brisket Fries and i want to say everything was devoured in less than 7 mins, it was so damn good that i forgot to breathe between every bite. My favorite was the Wagyu Champ, the combinations of ingredients presented in that burger is unreal and it works. With every burger, you'll get a chocolate chip cookie, which is such a sweet gesture and hits the spots after some burgers and fries. I visited Connie's Burger during a DJ/music event, so it was a bit packed with limited seating and the food took a while, but overall I still had a good experience. The burger itself was very delicious. Because the bun is pretty thick, I'd recommend getting two patties to balance the bread to meat ratio. I ordered a single patty and it felt a little too bready. I also really appreciated that they offer vegan cheese; I'm lactose-free, so it's nice to still be able to enjoy "cheeseburgers" sometimes. I decided to visit Coney Burger with my wife after seeing all the social media hype claiming it was "the best burger in Miami." We arrived shortly after they opened (they open at 1:00 PM). The place wasn't full, and we were seated in an adjoining section next door, which I assume they use when they need extra space. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. I ordered the Wagyu Champ, and my wife chose the Cry Baby. I tried to order the Brisket Fries, but surprisingly, they were already sold out less than 30 minutes after opening. So we went with two portions of Sweet and Salt Fries instead. Our burgers took around 40 minutes to arrive, and the fries came about 10 minutes later -- after we had already finished our burgers. We were given three small ketchup packets and about fifteen mustard ones. When I asked for their Coney Sauce, I was told it would cost an additional $1 -- which felt disrespectful considering we'd already been waiting nearly an hour. Still, I agreed to pay for it... but the sauce never arrived. I also ordered another Diet Coke, which showed up after I'd finished eating. The issue wasn't the restaurant being full -- it was clearly poor service and inexperience from the staff. They didn't seem knowledgeable about the menu or attentive to customers. As for the food: the burgers were excellent, flavorful, and unique -- but definitely not worth a 50-minute wait. The fries were average at best, and missing the sauce didn't help. Overall, I left disappointed. If the restaurant doesn't have enough trained staff or capacity, they shouldn't open additional seating they can't manage. The food has real potential, and the concept is great, but service and efficiency need serious improvement. I really wanted to love Coney Burger and that's why I tried it twice. I am a lover of smash burgers and fancy pickles, so naturally, I tried that one first even though the smily really caught my eye. So on the second try, I got that one. I really loved the flavor of the meat, but I hate their bun. It's homemade but it's gummy in a way and sort of bounces back at you. It's weird, and I can't personally get into it. I also prefer the smily to the smash burger but even then, there's way more onions than you actually want in there. Not my favorite burger. read more

Sitting down you feel the community and warmth in the hospitality and ambiance, from the kid drawings on the walls to the fact the bathroom is in the venue next door this burger joint isn't trying to be something it's not. The staff where amazing and service was excellent but the house made buns complimented the AW beef patties like nothing I've had before, the cooks pay so much attention to detail when making your burger you can watch them do it feeling like your watching a michelin star chef plating the perfect burger.
