I would consider this place a 3.5 or just shy of a 4. One thing I really appreciated was that the ingredients all seemed fresh. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches on English muffins, one with bacon and one with sausage. You could tell the muffins were homemade and the eggs were freshly cooked. While everything was cooked well, my main issue was that it lacked flavor. The breakfast sandwich with sausage did get more flavor due to the sausage, but the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich felt like eating a warm English muffin only. There also was a very small amount of bacon which didnt help. We also ordered two coffees which were good, but tasted like any other cafe coffee. There are plenty of seating options inside and outside which is nice and the staff is friendly. This is my favorite coffee shop in Stoneham! I've been to Kushala many times and they serve delicious foods and drinks. Their breakfast burrito is fantastic and it is full of yummy avocado, bacon, and egg. Their black iced teas are fabulous and I love how you can customize them with different flavors. Today, I had the mango flavor which was great. The decor inside is so cozy and they always decorate for whichever holiday is coming. 10/10 would definitely recommend!! read more

Tried this spot out on a whim because our usual go to was closed! Very happy we did. The inside is very clean and cozy. The baristas are very kind and knowledgeable and answered our questions. Service was quick and our drinks and food came out very fast. I got the iced Kushala mocha, their signature drink. It is soo good! Sweet, but not overpowering. My sister got an iced caramel latte, she said it was very sweet and just the way she likes it. Her fiancé got a large iced coffee with sugar free vanilla, and he was very pleased he could get a healthier option and it is still very flavorful with the vanilla. We also got a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel and a sausage, egg and cheese on a bagel to share between the three of us. I thought those were just OK. I came initially to do some work: there is free wifi and it works well but you need to re-connect every hour. After the second hour, the complimentary wifi ends and you must make another order and ask for the code to continue using the wifi. Service was quick and friendly. Went here for the first time this morning! I got the green tea iced with mango flavored. It was delicious! Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks! She took time to explain to my dad what was in his coffee and help me make a decision as a non-coffee lover. It was pretty affordable and super cute inside and the outside seats were cute as well! My feedback is the menu needs to be either bigger font or have a paper menu because I had a really really hard time seeing it. Also there large should be bigger, it's comparable to a medium at other local coffee shops. Overall I Definitely will be back hopefully to grab some food as well! read more

Order ahead was very convenient on a busy morning before work. The latte was good although very milky. Definitely would've been better with an extra shot, but that would've made it quite pricey. The prices are definitely high compared to other local coffee stops in the area. The staff were very friendly. There was a decent amount of seating inside and free wifi, so it would be a great place to sit and read or do some work. The outside patio would also be very nice in warmer months. Was out on a work trip in Woburn and came across this place when looking for breakfast and coffee. The parking is street parking and in an area that seems to have a good amount. It's across the street from a park, so might get packed at times but I found a spot with no issues at 9am. The coffee house itself is a decent size with plenty of seating options. I saw a lot of folks working there, so seems to be the place to go when needing a place to work remote. Which I did too and found the WiFi to be good, plus not too noisy to take calls at. I got the Açaí Bowl and an Iced Cafe Mocha sub with almond milk. They offered Oat and soy as alternative milks too. The coffee was decent, better than Starbucks. The açaí bowl was delicious. I got mango, strawberry and bananas as my fruit and everything tasted fresh. Though the Mango sort of tasted like it might have been previously frozen, but I might have got the end of a batch too. It was still good. Staff were also friendly and very helpful with answering questions about their menu options. I'd be back if I was ever in the area again. read more

Terrible coffee and terrible food! I ordered a cold brew and an egg sandwich with avocado. Instead I got overcooked scrambled eggs on toast with smeared avocado paste. I told the cashier I didn't want iced coffee. I don't want hot coffee with ice, I want cold brew. She said it'll be cold brew, it just rings up on their system as "iced coffee". Nice place to grab non chain coffee and a bit t eat besides pastries. They have outdoor seating too. I had an iced coffee and the egg avocado toast. The coffee was delicious, even without sweetener. The egg avocado toast was disappointing though. First, it's nothing like the photo in the menu. I realize that's often the case with restaurant menus but this was truly sad. The egg was one of those mass produced eggs like you get at Dunkin and Subway. When I go to a "mom and pop" Cafe I expect to pay more for something fresh, but expect it to be fresh. The toast was barely toasted. The cherry tomatoes on top were equally sad, some extremely green and another had a spoiled spot running trough. This was actually the second time I've been here but didn't write a review the first time. I don't recall what I had the first time and don't remember having a bad experience either. So disappointed. I went in for an iced latte and found out that they use cold brew coffee premade instead of espresso. Paying this amount for basically an iced coffee is disappointing and i feel like this was a cheat. Also my daughter for a smoothie and it tasted like ice: I watched they used honey, brown sugar old bananas already cut up and soggy strawberries. She hated it. We usually got to really good coffee shops so i guess our standards are too high for this average/low average place. When we go to capital one coffee shop they use fresh fruit and yogurt for smoothies and everywhere I go for ice lattes mean espresso. I think even Dunkin' Donuts uses espresso. I have Celiacs disease, so I was super happy that they have gluten free food choices. They were prepackaged from a gluten free sweets company but they were still delicious and the smoothies are good too. I tried the iced matcha (which is sweetened with almond and honey, I asked for no honey), and a bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant. I'm more of an iced girl myself and saw their their special mocha was made up of three different flavors, so I figured it'd be super sweet in an iced version. I went for their small lavender iced latte with almond milk. I've had lavender at other places and it's a hidden gem. The worker let me know that it'll be $6.90. Six ninety?! For a small latte? Sure, it is a latte and has almond milk, but what, that seems a bit outrageous. $5.00 sure. But I'm not buying a full lunch here. Got my iced latte which looked super light, and to my dejection, it had almost a soapy flavor. I sipped on it for a bit to keep trying it, but it was just not good. I had always seen this place and wanted to check it out as their menu looked good and the place looked cute. I had the opportunity to get takeout and would like to go back to give it another try - takeout and dine in. I ordered through the app which was easy enough and picked it up myself. The place was cute and cozy - I could see myself here to grab a coffee/bite with friends or to work out of the house. They had a good menu selection - I ordered breakfast sandwiches which were tasty. I was a little disappointed with the service however which is why I knocked off a star. When I got there, no one acknowledged me the entire time I was in there. I was a little early but still no hello, are you waiting on an order, we're working on your order, it should be a couple of minutes, etc. - nothing at all - and they were not busy. It wouldn't have bothered me if they were busy with other customers, but it was pretty quiet in there and obvious a customer had walked in and was waiting for something. Coming here is like going to buy coffee inside a stranger's house, but they're busy talking to their roommates and don't give a darn about you or your order. And you can tell they're tired of people coming into their house and asking for coffee because they are barely moving at a snail's pace while either ignoring you or sighing at you.
