I loved the mango passion fruit refresher and chorizo bowl, commune cafe is such a cute study spot

We had a fantastic breakfast at Commune All Day Café! I ordered the Bacon Avocado Bowl with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, pinto beans, roasted potatoes, avocado, salsa roja, and micro cilantro. The portion was very generous, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious! I also tried the Blueberry Iced Latte and it was incredibly delicious and a perfect complement to breakfast! The café itself is fresh, airy, bright, clean, and beautifully decorated, with seating that feels both comfortable and cozy. They have a great menu with lots of tasty choices. The prices are a little on the expensive side, but the generous serving sizes definitely help make up for it. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and our food came out surprisingly fast. The only downside is the off-street parking, which can be difficult to find. Other than that, this is a wonderful breakfast spot that I would definitely recommend! read more

Service: 10/10 Vibe: 5/10 Seating: 5/10 Food Taste: 8/10 Parking: 2/10 Wanted to love this place as I can walk to it from where I live, and I should have because the first thing I noted was how small the lot is (it's in an apartment complex but not much space is for non-residents). We parked illegally and asked and they said we could move to the lot across the street. They need a sign stating this arrangement because it definitely was a frustrating arrival. The vibe is basically Temu Tatte. Some people were on laptops working but it's not big enough for that, at least on a weekend. The food was AMAZING aside from the breakfast potatoes which came out cold - and for what they charge this is unacceptable. We got an omelette and toast plate. Best guacamole I've had in a while and the hot sauce was . The drinks were solid. $8 gourmet coffees that only come in one size. Definitely wish they were bigger. The coffee itself was good but the flavors didn't pop like I hoped they would. They also advertised cold foam on mine and it came out with barely any. This is not a place I am adding to my regular rotation but I am not opposed to going back now and then. For two of us breakfast was $50 and that is just too much for what you ultimately get, as good as it may be. read more

Pristine, elegant space in the ground floor of a residential building. Looking almost like a spa, it'll put a bounce in your step the moment you walk in. White walls, coconut/urchin-looking lamps, and comfy seats. Good mix of healthy and indulgent options. Coffee by George Howell. Pastries by Le Petit Four in Wellesley. My wife and I visited for a weekend breakfast. -- Veggie Omelette: My wife's selection, and a well-rounded plate with a well-rounded omelette bringing good textures and pleasing flavors. To kick it up, cups of avocado/guacamole and a creamy/spicy red pepper sauce. Complemented by toast (two half slices) and roasted potatoes with the requisite firmness outside, tenderness inside, and salted just right. -- Smoked Salmon Toast: Surprisingly generous salmon serving-- more than I've ever had on bagel sandwiches costing more-- dressed up with pickled onions and guacamole underneath, and cilantro sprigs on top. The bread part was the weakest link, lacking crustiness and density, but it was fine as a vessel. But overall, a satisfying item. -- Coffee: A hot black serving of my favorite blend so far (Dota) of the George Howell roasting fleet. Strong and smooth, with faint bittersweet chocolate notes. -- Almond Croissant: I'm already a big fan of Le Petit Four, so having a shared dessert for breakfast was a no-brainer. Crisp, buttery, flaky dough with a somewhat natural tasting almond cream inside. Not warm. Not unfresh, but not as what you get at the actual bakery in Wellesley. Note: Parking is nearly impossible on the street, so plan on entering the building's indoor parking garage to snag one of the dozen or so available spots for non-resident retail guests. My wife and I were very pleased with our first visit. Not perfect, but so many things were superb that it gets the 5. We'll be back. read more

Amazing food and bright, cheery atmosphere. This is a round up to 5 stars based on the following: Food: 5.5 (hey, it's my review) Coffee and tea: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Friendliness: 5 Menu: 4.9 Bathrooms: 4.7 Parking: 3 Contactability: 3 You order at the counter, then food delivered to your table. They are very good about brining stuff out and clearing. The truffle tofu mushroom sandwich was one of the best, if not the best, tofu sandwich I've ever had. The flavor and texture on the roast potatoes side was perfect. I'm not an acai eater normally, but the Signature Acai could convert me. We also had an iced latte and iced coconut matcha latte - both excellent. The menu is large and varied, with a great variety of bowls, sandwiches salads, wraps, tacos, snacks and all day breakfasts. We had a little trouble telling the açaí bowl options apart, though they all looked great, and the yummy potato side I got didn't seem to be on the menu, but those are things I imagine will be ironed out as the opening proceeds. Do ask about those potatoes! The dining area itself was bigger than I expected, bright in color and sunlight, and comfortable. One side did get a little tight on space from the line, so might be something to consider during a busy time. Ordering is at the counter, and not at all rushed as it might have been given the number of customers. The staff had the right balance of friendly helpfulness without too much chitchat, given the line was backing up a bit. Still we got through a very short wait in just a couple of minutes - really the amount of time needed to read the menu. Bathrooms were clean with all the essentials EXCEPT paper towels. Just the blower, which in the bathroom I picked blew cold air which made it more useless than the normal hand drier. Hopefully they fix that and add paper towels, but otherwise excellent. Parking was the biggest confusion, but once you know what's what it is straight forward. Unless you need a handicapped space, park across the street where the brick office building is. For some reason there are no signs saying to do this, but staff confirmed that was the correct location. There is a pretty misleading sign pointing customers to parking in the garage, but the vast majority of that parking is reserved for residents of the apartments, not customers of the restaurant. I wouldn't even try that next time there are so few spaces. A frustrating side note to this is that I tried to call the restaurant to ask where to park and couldn't find a number on the website. This was super weird, and I see I am not the only one to have this problem. They really need both a parking sign and an actual findable phone number. read more

Walked in to grab some coffee and was impressed by the decor and fresh interiors. They have opened recently and their young staff is learning on the job - always exciting to see! Just got a coffee and a pistachio croissant - both delicious! Menu is a little on the expensive end; will try their food on our next visit! read more

Commune's opening was highly anticipated by some friends of mine who are big fans of Turnpike Market, which has the same owners. They had a chance to visit before I did and had a great experience. The cafe is very bright and clean inside. You place your order at the counter and your items are delivered to your table (if dining in). Most of our items came out very quickly and the staff members were friendly and attentive. I tried the strawberry matcha ($7.50), shaken espresso ($6.50), bacon egg and cheese sandwich ($9) , and raspberry pistachio croissant ($7.99). Prices are a bit high but I felt that for the quality they were reasonable. I was really impressed with the matcha and surprised to see it whisked to order not batched in advance. The bacon egg and cheese and croissant were also very good. I'd love to come back and try some of the other menu items soon! read more

This bright modern all day café features open comfortable seating areas table seating, cushion seating with pillows, seating along and the windows, a good place to eat, drink, and get work done. The place is order & pay at the counter and you take a number stand to place on your table and staff with bring out your food and drinks. They also offer takeout and online ordering. For food, they serve elevated all day breakfast (toasts, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast bowls, veggie omelettes, fruit cups), bowls, salads, sandwiches, wraps, tacos, burritos (& bowls), protein plates, empanadas, hummus, kids menu, acai bowls, gelato, and fresh pastries (from Le Petit Four Bakery in Wellesley Hills). For beverages, they offer fresh brewed coffee drinks, espresso drinks, cold brew, tea drinks, smoothies, protein drinks, and bottled juices & water. The prices here are moderate high. I stopped by Commune for evening breakfast takeout. At the counter, I ordered the Chorizo Bowl ($12 plus tax) and a Raspberry Pistachio Chocolate Croissant ($7.49 plus tax). My order was all set to go in 10 minutes. The Chorizo Bowl was a good portion of scrambled eggs, ground chorizo, tater tots, pinto beans, guacamole, cilantro, & salsa roja on the side. The Raspberry Pistachio Chocolate Croissant was thick, flaky & buttery topped with crushed pistachios & powdered sugar and filled with sweet raspberry preserves & pistachio paste and another layer with chocolate. Their bakery partner, Le Petit Four Bakery makes great French pastries and I have spent close $100 on recent visits there. I enjoyed the breakfast bowl and sweet croissant with my hot black coffee is what I needed to start my evening. I will stop back again to try one of the burrito bowls and some gelato. read more

All the pastries I've had have been really good. Yesterday I picked up an almond croissant, a chocolate swirl, and a kouign amann. The chai latte is ~fantastic~ and strawberry matcha is great too. Today I went before work and picked up a bagel and cream cheese and a smoothie. Smoothie (coral glow) is great but the bagel fell a bit short for me especially considering the price. Overall: A tad pricey but otherwise great food, service has been wonderful, and the inside of the cafe itself is gorgeous and airy! read more

Pros- service was great! Young female cashier was very friendly. Ambience is nice. Feels like Southern Cali/Erewhon. Great selection of options for everyone. Smoothies amazing. Mushroom /cheese pastry is really good! Cons: no phone to call, they also didn't reply to my email. Coffee was undrinkable. Not sure if the morning I went was just a bad batch or bad 1/2 and 1/2. I took it to go and didn't have the time to go back after I got home and sipped it. I couldn't contact anyone there. They charged an additional .75 for cream/milk on top of $4.25 for a plain black coffee. Seems to be a lot for a plain coffee. Just disappointed with lack of customer service. I realize it's only been opened one week, but that's when there should be more attention to service. read more
